I am currently processing VA assumption loan with my buyer since Mid Nov and have requested to be contacted by processor (Danielle) multiple times but have not been contacted to find out the status of my packet. I've called multiple times explaining that I am in overseas and it is very important for me to speak with my processor since it has been more than 45 days but so far no answer, The company's excuses are the assumption loan department only has few people working and they are busy but I am receiving phone calls from Freedom mortgage telling me that I have some equity that I can borrow money from them almost everyday. I feel that the company is delaying the assumption loan request since the company makes no money or they could make more money on re-financing my house with much higher interest rates than my current 2.25% interest rate. It is horrible customer services that I am experiencing with Freedom and I don't think I would ever use this company ever again. I read article about the CEO/founder of Freedom mortgage Mr. Stanley C Middle in July 23, CEO Magazine interview and I want to ask him or the company the same question that he asked all business leaders "Stanley C Middleman remembers the day when, after addressing a group of students at his alma mater, Philadelphia’s Temple University, a young man raised his hand with a question. “Obviously you’ve done well, but do you do good?” he asked." We wanted to borrow less than half of what our house is worth. We fulfilled all request of having certified and licensed people look at and sign off on our roof. In the end, the underwriter was still not satisfied and wanted a different certified roof inspector. We had spent thousands of dollars to fix, pay certified people and we were no closer to getting our loan. We are more than disappointed in our mortgage company.Review from Phil M

I started working with Paul @ financial freedom mortgage.I told him what I was looking for for his company.I wanted a refinance done.i told him where my credit score was funds home was located gave W-2s pay stubs and everything else that was needed. I was told it can be done turn around paid for the appraisal fee turn back they told me the underwriter said it cannot be done now I waste my money to Appraisal fees and could not get that back and I felt it wasn’t my fault because I asked if it could’ve been done and it guaranteed me a yes and comes to find out it couldn’t have been so I’m out of $600Review from Angela M

Freedom Mortgage adds charges to your account and call and harass you for money that you do not owe. every time you call a different person answers the phone and no one assist you. if you write to them they go on the internet and download the same information, and no one takes the time to look at the problem. in other words, they suck, they purchase loans and inflate the insurance calming that you do not have any and when you hound them, they still will not assist.Review from Jane D

Cant imagine a more stressful experience trying to get this company to address my loss mitigation and loan mod..over and over Ive sent documents..called incessantly..no one contact person different ones..started the procure in sept22/just was informed for the 20..th time the paperwork isnt in order? Because it has to be redone over and over..Im 72..this house is in a homestead area..its obvious no one is truly looking at what Im sending in.I have a long term treatable psych problem..that is exacerbated by stress..Ive been in treatment for over 40 yrs..I was ready in January to start making mortgage payments..I just needed help with the loan ..for 7 months..May-January..Im making a complaint to the office if the aging.I havent been out of my house for a yr..due to covid/depression etc..why do you require the same paperwork over and over..its just an excuse to prolong this? It certainly seems to be abuse tactic on the companies part..to the elderly..I dont have a computer..do everything on my I-phone.nothing is ever good enough..its now ridiculous.I need to speak to someone that can help me..or Ill pursue legal action..this is horrendous to do to anyone..as it is Ill be paying this off until Im 100..obvious a stressful financial time for most but there should be one contact person not 20Review from Anita A

I have been trying for several months to provide the information about insurance on my property for a mortgage loan FM bought or assumed from my previous lender. My insurance broker has provided this information following the instructions provided by a FM representative. Yet, they tell me they still do not have said information. No one takes responsibility for ANYTHING. Documents go to a fax number which no one in particular manages and no one will call to let me know if they receive the fax or email. This is costing me money every month and most representative just tell me they don't have it. I have had two ladies who were helpful but all the documents needed are still not there, so they say. Where do these documents go? File 13?Review from Mary T

We have been using this company for a year now. We refinanced and our loan was sold to Freedom Mortgage. My experience was good up until recently. In November, I went to make my payment online like I’ve done many times. I guess something went wrong with this site and my payment was not submitted. When I went to pay my December payment, I noticed that I was a payment behind. I never received an email, call, not even a letter letting me know that my payment was not submitted. I filed a dispute with them, begging them to please not submit this to the credit agency. I explained to them what happened, proved that I was never late before and never late on any of my bills but they still turned this in to the credit bureau. Now, my outstanding credit score went down significantly. Fast forward to today, my credit report was again hit with a late payment from them and I am NOT late. As soon as interest rates go down again I swear I am never using this company. I’m also telling my friends and family and whoever I can, strangers included to not use this bank. You are horrible people representing the veteran community and you should be shut down.Financial Freedom Mortgage, LLC Response

I changed my mind on my cash out loan and the mortgage company insist on putting it through. John ***** won't do anything to stop it. And reimburse me on the $400.00 to appraise my home. He knows about it. I get phonecards from the title company to close. The paperwork I got in my email hasn't been fully esigned. The mortgage company never told us about paying points. I'm a dav. I'm not supposed to pay points under a VA loan. So they tried to screw me there. I called the VA mortgae services in mpls minn. And told me I don't pay points no a VA mortgage. So I emailed this john ***** and told him to cancel the loan. Ty us army retired dav. M.*********
