      Towne and country is the absolute worst property management company. Corrupt scum liars they have outrageous fines and are complete scum. Do not get work done on time leave all common areas unattended and do not answer complaints regarding property. They use discrimatory practices when accessing fines soon they will be out of our neighborhood as well

      This is the most incompetent management company I have ever had the displeasure to encounter. I live in ********************* houses in *******************, and the mismanagement and neglect are mind boggling. There is no consistent onsite manager, and her stand-ins are blindsided by the problems we live with here. We pay for their services and all we seem to get for our fee is the mowing of common areas. They hire the cheapest, most incompetent subcontractors available and blame any and all problems on the residents, rather than be proactive and supportive. We have no advocates here. Thankfully their contract is up soon and hopefully they will be out of our lives permanently.

      Let me start by stating these homes were built in **** as temporary housing for the military. They were self managed from **** until a few years ago when my firm was awarded the management contract. Our contract was just renewed for 5 years that is how satisfied the community is with our service.. ************* has many ***************** and bathrooms with very little upgrades. This owner had kitchen cabinets that were falling off the wall due to a sewer pipe in their wall behind the cabinets that were leaking. According to the plumber and carpenters the leak had been ongoing due to the amount of damage uncovered. The day our office was contacted we immediately sent out a crew to assess the issue. ********************* is a community within the *********************** that has no building department. The *********** performs building permitting and inspections, however, it is on a part time basis of every other Thursday between **** (four hours only). Therefore, when we need permits and/or inspections to make repairs it takes longer than the normal process where inspectors typically work 5 days a week in a town. All remediation work requires us to wait two weeks for one approval/permitting then two weeks to obtain another approval.. As you can imagine this stops the process for days. The owners in this instance added to the delays due to needing 48 hour notice before they would allow entrance into the home. Additionally they went on vacation for 10 ten days during this renovation and work stopped. We were transparent all along the way but they did not care about the permitting process timeframe. We never delayed one thing one day. There are processes we must follow or we would be fined by the State . We take great pride in our work ethic, moral compass and our transparency. In my opinion this negative review really stemmed from the fact the owner had to pay for items due to their delay in reporting the leak (years). We sent this to the associations legal counsel for an opinion on the owners delayed reporting of this matter. Had it been reported earlier when it began (the walls were soaked, under the sink and floor was also like a sponge) much of the damage would have been caught prior to it occurring. The attorney said it was "negligence on the part of the owner". .Again, I know that is what prompted a negative review. When owners are told they have to pay for something they become furious with my company. We do not make those decision they are made by the board of directors along with the attorney. We are simply the arm that communicates the decision. If you would like a copy of the legal opinion I would be happy to supply it.
