Wildfires across the Los Angeles area are expected to become the costliest such disaster in U.S. history. As victims cope with the aftermath, it is crucial to stay vigilant against opportunistic scammers. In addition, those wishing to help by donating money or supplies should carefully research organizations before contributing. BBB offers guidance to protect both victims and donors. I was in the women's home on ********. Two bathrooms, but one had a lot of black mold. One bedroom had four bunks. Two other rooms had two beds, and the den, where the house masters lived had two. Completely unsanitary and the house masters are rude controlling *female dogs* who expect you to do everything they say. When I had to get up and out for a job at 5:00 am and not be back until 8:00 (long commute) they would scream at me if I didn't do my chores. Nobody else in the house was working a full-time job. They were also doing drugs in the garage. Cutting up the orange tabs you get for opioid addiction to sell on the street. This is NOT a sober home. Oh, and ****** will put you on the street in a heartbeat for disagreeing with the house master. And he stole the ** I won in a raffle at my employer.

On August 31, 2022 I began residing at Hoffman Hall. I was assigned to the La ***** house on La *******************. I paid my rent for the entire month in the sum of $450. On Monday September 12, I had a difference of opinions with the house manager regarding his disrespectful demeanor towards me. From that point on tension became evident and he was making it difficult to live there. On September 16, 2022 my mother was in the hospital in ********, although I hadn't been there my ************************************************* permission to go see her. Shortly thereafter I was sent a text message from the house manager stating that I had been discharged from Hoffman Hall. Last but not least, there is precisely fourteen residents residing in a four bedroom two bath house. Over capacity. There brochure stipulations say that there are only two residents per room allowed. Why do these people allowed to get away with this and your organization does nothing to sanction Hoffman Hall for there fraulent actions. False advertising to say the least. Now I'm living at a homeless shelter in ******** but I guess it's better than being subjected to over crowding. I would like to request that your organization take some kind of action against these people. Thank you for taking the time to read this review. PS There refusing to refund the difference of my rent and application fee back to me.
