I took my vehicle for a regular oil change on December 30th 2023 and i informed them that my vehicle was having other problems in which I was concerned for these problems where the following, loud noises when turning left ,squeaks and rattle concerns, a possible oil leak, a coolant inspection and a right rear light malfunction. After they inspected my vehicle one of the service advisors called me to inform me that my vehicle had an oil leak on a side of oil pan therefore the service contract authorized to release and replace the pan. They also found my brakes to be at 4 mm and I was recommended to do a brake service as well so I did and they replaced the brake pads and resurface rotors, as to the coolant problem they told me that it had no issues and the oil change was done incorrectly they added bulk oil instead of synthetic oil, as to the right rear light malfunction problem nothing was done. They kept my car from December 30th-January 12th I asked for a rental car in the meantime and they denied. On January 16th my car started marking for a "vehicle check" on an oil change, a right rear light malfunction and my brakes so I called Nissan of las cruces and they told me that there was nothing they could do for me. I decided to scheduled a vehicle service somewhere else (***) after they inspected my vehicle they found the following, they performed a diagnosis of rear brake lights and found both rear outer taillights to have water contamination which was causing brake light malfunction, new oil change was going to be needed they also found that all the parts that Nissan dealership added to my vehicle were off market parts and not original as they had said and I was charged as if they were original parts. I went in person to Nissan Of Las Cruces and spoke with the service manager nothing was done I would like a refund because they messed my vehicle up completely to the point where it failed to turn on and now I am investing all this money somewhere else to get it fixed!

We understand issues occur, but wear and tear items are considered maintenance, and any dealer does try to sell maintenance in service that's how dealers survive, we understand this vehicle was not purchased too long ago, but maintenance items are not covered under any warranty.

We want to make our customers happy we will agree to reimburse half of the total amount which is $788.91.

    Thank you.

April of 2023 I financed a car from Nissan of Las Cruces. Recently (April 2024) found out that the car was reported stolen and is still actively reported stolen as of December 2022, 4 months prior to me driving the vehicle off the lot. I am unable to drive the vehicle, I'm unable to renew vehicle tags, unable to sell, unable to do anything with the 2021 Nissan Altima. My only guidance is to turn the car in to local authorities, and the dealership is not doing anything about it. This is my only vehicle and I have to have a vehicle to get to and from work daily.

Hello, this vehicle was originally sold to a customer the customer could not get financed and would not bring the vehicle back, so we notified authority's that the vehicle had potentially been stolen. The vehicle was later recovered on the road and returned back to us. The vehicle was NOT processed as a stolen vehicle and insurance did NOT pay us any claim since it was found.

Attached is the ****** showing its clean and NOT a theft recovery the title which the lien holder has also will show clean and NOT a theft recovered vehicle.

What information does the customer have that show us the vehicle is a Theft vehicle on the title or ******?

    Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:

The lien holder was never able to receive the title due to the vehicle being flagged as stolen. I received the police report from the las cruces police department after being told by El Paso county that I need to turn the vehicle in. I can do nothing with the vehicle. I'm paying for a vehicle that I cannot drive due to this issue. Complaint not resolved.

    Regards,

    ****** ******

The lien holder does hold the title that's the only way the dealership gets funded, also the customer has already made payment they don't make them to us, they make them to the bank, so the bank must hold the title.

Our Title clerk called NM police department and they have closed the case showing vehicle was recovered, the customer should be able to renew registration today, again the vehicle was recovered the problem was NM police never closed the case until this week.

Please have the customer call the NM police they will confirm the vehicle was recovered, and case is now closed.

    Thank you.

    Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:
Complaint still not resolved. While I do appreciate you admitting that it was stolen and case never closed, the bank was never able to get a title. The dealership sent them a title application reciept but the bank was denied. I never knew about this until I attempted to renew my vehicle tags. But with it actively reported stolen, the dealership sold me a stolen vehicle, and I still cannot do anything with the vehicle. The original tags have expired, so thanks to the great Nissan of Las Cruces, I'm paying fir a vehicle that will sit in my yard until this is resolved.

    Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:
The lien holder never got the title. They got a title application and was denied because it was marked as stolen. Dealership sold me a stolen vehicle. Proven by police report. I still cannot renew my tags as this issue is still continuing. You are fixing nothing. I can involve a lawyer as this is going nowhere and you are saying the same thing over and over. The lien holder never got a title thanks to you and the shady dealership selling me a stolen vehicle. Regardless of what happened. The police report never being closed makes it a stolen vehicle.

Attached is the police report from NM showing vehicle recovered.

As far as Texas goes there was no rejection when we originally registered the vehicle, but you are correct the vehicle now shows Legal restraint. Our title clerk went to El Paso TX to correct this today May 14th, they will be working on correcting the legal restraint, this will however take a few days but ***** ******** from the ** **** ****** *** ******** ****** he is the supervisor for dealer registrations will be keeping us informed, once this is corrected, he will be happy to handle your renewal on your registration himself.

We would like to offer you a rental to drive at no charge until this issue is resolved next week.
