Credit One has been calling me in regards to needing to make a payment on my card. I have a system that is rejecting their calls, because I have no interest in answering such calls. Im aware of my current situation with them. I dont need to be reminded hundreds of time. My complaint is that although they are only allowed to call me up to 7 times in a 7 day window per the ****** Im getting closer to about 7 calls per day. This is excessive. This is abuse. Per ****** calling more than 7 times in a 7 day window has statutory damages of $1000 per case. Id like the matter resolved by Credit One crediting my account with them in full, which as of this moment has a balance of $340.04. If this is not addressed, I will keep a fully record of every violation, and may seek legal action against Credit One for violating my rights under FDCPA.Business Response

I received a pre-approval in the mail at the first of August and applied online and was approved by the fourth and a card was issued supposedly. I never received a card after waiting weeks I called them back and they said they didn't have the apartment letter on the address so they would update that and issue a new card that I would receive in 7 to 10 business days. After waiting the time and not receiving the card I called them back again they said they issue another card I waited no card so I called them back again. They said that the guy who did it wrong and no card was sent out and that they would send out a card and give it another 7 to 10 business days so I did. I did not receive this card either so I called back and was told that for my trouble they would Express the card with no mention of a fee and to give it 3 to 5 business days. I gave it at least a week called them back was told that this time they would express it and I would have to sign for it and it would be $20 which they charged to the account at that moment. I waited the time, called them back and this time was told that there was an internal issue in their system and there was something on the account that had needed to be verified but hadn't been and that this representative fixed it and express shipped the card out again waving the fee this time. This representative said if I didn't receive the card by the first of November to call back. I did not receive the card and I feel like calling back isn't going to fix the issue. I receive all other mail correspondence from them and I feel like they've never sent the card once. They have supposedly sent out over 4 card and also never sent any but the last one so idk.Customer Answer

**** # ******************* I opened a secured credit card with Credit One Bank. They approved the account and sent me the card.A week after receiving the card I got a letter in the mail asking for copies of my drivers license and proof of address. They also asked for proof of income. I sent them what they asked of me but they decided to close my account. In the time period I emailed President and CEO *************************** got a letter back from his office telling me they are closing the account and also removing the account from my ********************** file along with the inquiry. They stated that they issued a credit of the security deposit back to my debit card. The credit should have shown up right away but it hasn't. The account was removed from my credit file within a day but the inquiry remains.When I call the bank to find out what's going on they say they can't tell me anything and that my only option is to leave them a voicemail. Sadly, the bank blocked my email address from emailing them. That's real adult of them.They are the one who decided not to do business with me. I shouldn't have to chase them to reimburse me my security deposit. Also, they stated they would remove the inquiry and it's reasonable to assume that would have been done at the same time they removed the account from my ********************** file. I am highly upset with Credit One Bank because in communication with me they accused me of opening the account up fraudulently. I am the person who opened the account and at no time was anything done in a fraudulent manner. They owe me an apology!
The debit card used to fund the secured credit card was a pre-loaded card that accepts no further deposits. The bank needs to issue a credit to the card or simply mail me a check for what's owed. I have contacted the bank and they told me because they cannot accept deposits the money would be sent back to Credit One. I don't get why they are making this so dang difficult.
I contacted Experian in regards to the inquiry and supplied them copies of the letters and they refused to delete the inquiry from my report.
I need for Credit One Bank to issue a credit to my debit card, not send them a check. Otherwise, send me a check for what's owed.
I need for Credit One Bank to contact Experian and direct them to remove the inquiry because they will not do it on my request. The inquiry still reports to this day.
I have filed my complaint with the Comptroller of the Currency on this matter. I have also filed my complaint with creditboards.com as a buyer beware asking people to stay away from this bank sharing my story. I am considering filing a defamation lawsuit against the bank for its unfounded accusations.
I want my money today! Stop playing games with my money.
I have attached copies of front and back of my debit card.

I called to cancel my credit card recently (End of August). I spoke with a lady that was very helpful and understanding, however she told me that she couldn't cancel my credit card, but she could put a freeze on it for 6 months. I told her that would work for now. However, there are now new charges on my account that I was not aware of. When I called back, they told me that was not even an option. I want to cancel my credit card and they will not allow me to do so.When I first attempted to cancel my credit card my balance was 0. I have never opened a Credit One account. Whenever I try to contact Credit One, I always face evasion or encounter rude individuals who are unwilling to assist me. My partner and I are in the middle of buying a house and this has hurt our credit. I have called a number of times about this problem to get nowhere, no one is to help you out. I opened account 07/2019 and apparently signed up for credit protection but I dispute this because I would not agree to this. I have been charged 97 cents per dollar owed on my balance every month since. I can only add the last 2 years of charges because there are only 24 months of statements available.Customer Answer

Received email from CreditOne bank without prior communication via email or **** mail or any other mail carrier that my account did not successfully apply payments until after they closed my account due to returned payment (non-payment). They may claim that they emailed but those emails were not received. And proper and fair practices on an account prior to any account activity such as closure should include an attempt to reach the party via telephone which is something that they never did prior to closing account. They should have called after subsquent failures to notify customer via telephone. At the very least they should have reached out after any failed attempt prior to closing the account. It is not fair to the consumer to be caught by surprise with receiving only 1 email and that being one that an account will be closed.I am asking that my account be reinstated at full and any credit marks be removed.Customer Answer

The date of the transaction, when I bought the shoes from Dr ******* was 03/15/23 in the amount of $127.20. The purchase order #DRCWEB-100021253. The shoes were defective and I sent them back to Dr ******** They issued a credit to my Credit Card from Credit One in the amount of $127.20 on 10/20/23. The case reference with Dr ******* is #CS202310-3091983. I communicated with ************************* a customer care representative with Dr ******* about this and she insists the refund was sent BACK to the Credit Card I used to purchase the shoes. She sent a copy of the credit memo #******** on 10/20/23. The credit order number was ******** This account was with ********************** ending in ****. By this time I had paid off this account and closed it. So where did my money go? Credit One insists they never received the credit! In the meantime, I am a diabetic who suffers from severe neuropathy and NEED another pair of shoes, which I planned on using that $127.20 to purchase another style.Please see what you can do to resolve this game of tag between the two businesses at my expense!Thank you very much. Just so I am clear about Credit One response to my claim. The letter states that the merchant will send me a check for $127.20 within a few days. Who is the merchant? I thought Dr ******* refunded my $127.20 to Credit One already for a refund. I am confused. As long as I receive the payment, I am fine with the offer.Customer Answer
