I purchased this residence back in 2021 and the HOA is pretty high $$ for them not to return emails or calls. I have had an issue with a neighbor that had a water leak problem twice now. It was never resolved. The second time it happened I emailed the company and never received a follow up call or email. This resident isn't even the owner just a nephew living there. Now here is another issue I have had with this company. A little over a year ago I submitted paper work to put in a patio cover to provide shade. I hand delivered the paper work. I followed up but the company but they community Management stated they never received anything. I just want people to know this is a company that isn't reliable and does not look out for its residents.Review from Tracy L

This company is negligent and incompetent in completing the simplest of task. They sent me a $7.99 registered letter to appear at a hearing but the idiot put the wrong date on the letter. The CMG rep just giggled and said it was a mistake the happen! #notyourmoneytothrowawayCommunity Management Group Response

The certified letter that was mailed is required to be sent that way by Nevada law. The typographical error that was on the date for the letter was a human oversight. Also, the Association is not charged for any postage costs when something is being re-mailed due to an error on our end.Review from Danny K

We have lived in our place for 2 years.. Out of no where we get a notice we cannot park our vehicles in front of our garages, but have to be parked on the street. We complained and did so, and parked our vehicle in front of our house. The HOA had the vehicle towed because it was not currently registered. We called the police department and the law reads you do not have to have a vehicle registered unless you are operating the vehicle on public roadways or highways. A parked vehicle in front of your home is not breaking any laws or illegal. When I contacted the HOA they said they had it towed because it didn’t have no license plates in it. It does not have to have plates in it if it is not being driven on the public streets. Also when I was told we had to park it on the street and not in front of the garage they knew the status of the vehicle then. I have had ongoing issues with this HOA. I’ve had property damaged by the yard care people. They did nothing and told me to take it up with the lawn care company. We have neighbors who have pets and let them poop all over the place and HOA does nothing and said I need to speak to the people who’s animals are doing this. All that did was cause a big argument. This HOA company does nothing. They put rules out that people must follow but do not enforce them unless it’s against someone they have prejudice and biases against. If I could attach pictures I could show other people parking their cars where they are not permitted too according to HOA, but it’s being allowed except for me. Things in the rental do not get fixed and we have had to fix things ourselves. This HOA does not follow the rules they make and I think this is unacceptable, unprofessional and do not know why this is being allowed. These companies need to be more closely monitored and policed!Community Management Group Response

Thank you for submitting your concerns. Please understand that Community Management Group (CMG) is NOT any individual person's actual HOA. CMG is a Management Company that works at the direction of the Board of Directors for your individual community as a vendor, similar to how a landscape company or pool company or gate repair company would be contracted through the HOA. The concerns about the vehicle registration are something the HOA should directly be addressing with you. In addition, the information you received from law enforcement is the exact opposite of anything that we have ever been told, taught, or experienced. In addition, even if a police officer would not ticket a vehicle in a private gated community (if that is how yours is set up? Unsure as no HOA name was provided), then the HOA's Rules would still prevail, and an HOA's rules may require vehicles to be registered in order to be visible from Common Areas. In addition, the concerns about your landlord not making repairs to your unit would be something that only your landlord or property manager would be able to assist with, as the HOA has absolutely nothing to do with the private contracts, leases, and agreements between a property owner (your landlord) and their tenant (you). While we are more than happy to escalate your concerns to the Board of Directors for your community, we will need those details sent to us in writing so we can place your concern on the next meeting agenda for the Board to review and discuss. Please let us know if we can be of any additional assistance. Thank you.Review from Randy T

Indigo community gate has been broken/suck open for over 3 weeks and counting...Community Management Group has done a poor job in many of their duties and do not deserve a good ratingCommunity Management Group Response

This issue has been fully repaired as of today. The original proposals that were obtained were excessive and the Association needed to secure competitive proposals, but the proposals were obtained and the contract was approved and the repairs were completed today. Thanks!Review from Artesia Resident

cmg acts more like an hoa board than a property manger, yet fails to properly vet vendors qualifications, does not put jobs out to bid , does not provide timely information requests you would be better served elsewhereCommunity Management Group Response

This is a completely false accusation without any merit. CMG is a contracted vendor, similar to a landscape company. CMG works at the direction of the HOA's elected Board of Directors, and bids and projects are all done in accordance with the law and are all disclosed on an agenda notice sent to each and every homeowner in the community a minimum of 10 days prior to the meetings. The list of open agenda items in this community is substantially large and many projects are continued and postponed/tabled to the next meeting(s) in order to obtain additional bids and clarifications. In addition, the person leaving this review continually contacts the Nevada Real Estate Division (governing body of authority for HOA communities) to complain about issues, and to date the complaints continue to get closed as there is substantial transparency to all issues and the chronic complaints are unwarranted beyond the fact that the owner appears to be chronically unhappy with the answers provided.Customer Response

I have the documentation and will provide it to anyone that asks.Community Management Group Response

Any concerns or issues surrounding the HOA processes should be directed to the Nevada Real Estate Division as that is the appropriate forum for concerns surrounding a Common Interest Community. Any documentation or concerns that need to be expressed should be addressed to NRED rather than the BBB as the concern is regarding the HOA processes. NRED will be able to address this as they are the overseeing governing body for these kinds of concerns and situations.Customer Response

The BBB is a forum for buyer's to be aware, I agree NRED is supposed to handle issues related to an HOA however they do no warn potential consumers that is why the BBB and other entities like this exist
