    I purchased 3 July AC’s in September 2022. As I went to turn on my AC’s in May 2024, the fan in one of my units did not work. I contacted customer service who said they could not fix the problem and that the unit was out of warranty. I wanted to share my experience in a review so potential customers could know of my quality issue. I posted a review on July's website as instructed by their customer service representative, but after a month it still has not posted. I've followed up twice with their representative and no response. As I've been looking at their website reviews, they advertise 4.9 stars from 159 reviews (all reviews are 5 or 4 stars) - this has not changed over a few months. I believe July is censoring my review and negative reviews from other customers, then advertising a misleading 4.9 star rating on their website. As another strange occurrence, I posted a review to ****** and had a response from someone with a very positive experience. Looking at that ****** account, the individual had only 2 posts, both positive reviews about July AC but the 2 posts contained contradictory information. I believe this account is someone who works for July AC as is part of their efforts to suppress negative reviews.

    I’ve been trying for a couple months now to get support for a unit I purchased 3 months ago. When we went to install it, it had a dent in the side and the fan is getting caught on something and won’t spin. I’ve tried contacting them through their chat and email several times. I got one response the first time asking for a video of the problem. I sent the video and the pictures and have heard nothing since. I have tried repeatedly to contact them again and I get no response at all. There is no phone number to contact them. Are they even still in business?!?!

    I'm horrified that this terrible company has so much glowing press and people recommending their AC units. Please do not, under any circumstances, buy an AC unit from this company. You should buy an AC unit from a reputable company that offers returns. July AC is engaged in fraudulent marketing and is selling unsafe products. I purchased a slider window AC unit from them, only for a professional AC installer to tell met that the unit was unsafe and could easily fall from a window. July claimed the units were safe, but needless to say I believe a professional AC installer over a company that is trying to sell their units. July's website is plastered with promises about "easy returns" and a 30 day guarantee, so I asked to return the unit. Only then did the company to tell me the units had actually been final sale and were not returnable. Nowhere on their site did it say the units were final sale when I bought them, as is standard from any reputable company. They directed me to the fine print in their terms of service, but the terms of service link is literally broken on their website. I am now out over $1k in AC units I can't install given that they are unsafe. I want to save other people from having such a terrible experience! Please save your money and buy AC units from a company with an actual return policy.

    We are very sorry about the trouble that this customer had with her July. Our units are extensively tested, and since we have a new, innovative installation system, many local handymen are not familiar with how the install works. We apologize for the misunderstanding between customer and installer. As with most other A/C retailers in-person and online, we do have a final sale policy on items that are on sale. While this is posted below the "add to cart" button as well as in our refund policy, and terms & conditions, we apologize that this was not clear enough, and will take this feedback to make sure that this policy is not missed. We're very sorry about the experience you had with July, and will make sure we take this feedback to further improve.

    You are welcome to argue that professional AC installers don't understand your units but given the potentially fatal implications of going against their guidance when installing an AC unit on a second story window over a walkway where children pass by, I can't imagine who would risk this. And there were no notices on your website or at checkout when I purchased the unit indicating it was final sale (I have the screenshots to prove it). And again, the terms of service page where you said this was explained gives an error message (I have screenshots of this too).
