I purchased Yankees tickets for a game on Saturday, April 26, 2025 for a total of $110.28. I purchased the tickets through the Yankee's Ticketmaster on February 9, 2025.I was in ************* on vacation and the game was canceled and a rain check was offered. I waited the 7 days after the game was to be played and I signed into my ******/ticketmaster account and attempted to exchange them as I was instructed when the game was canceled. I see my tickets and when I attempt to exchange them the option is greyed out and nothing happens. I have tried daily since May 4th, I have emailed the listed email address **************************************************** 3 times and no response. I have followed all the instructions but I do not have the opportunity to try to exchange the tickets.Business Response

On April 25, 2025, I purchased 2 tickets to a Yankees game for Sunday, May 4th 2025, along with 2 pre-game tour passes, as a gift for my friend and her son who are visiting *** this coming weekend. I called her and told her that I was going to transfer the tickets and passes to her and when I went in to my ballpark app to make the transfer, it would only allow me to transfer the tickets but not the tour passes. I purposely bought the tour passes for her and wheelchair accessible seats because she is disabled and I wanted to give her ample time to get in the stadium without dealing with long lines that she cannot stand in. I tried to contact the Yankees ticket office several times, but nobody ever answers the phone. I did some ****** searches and it suggests contacting Ticketmaster since that is where I bought the tickets through. Upon doing so, Ticketmaster states that because I bought these tickets and the add on together, the add on is not transferable, but if I had bought the add on separately, it would be. This is absolutely absurd and Ticketmaster states it is the Yankees policy and not theirs. I think they conspire together to rip people off. I now have 2 game tickets and 2 passes that I paid for, and I can't give them to my friend because she cannot use them without the tour passes. I have now spent double as I have sent her money to buy her own tickets since I can't get her these. I want the Yankees to do the right thing and refund these tickets and passes. If I lived in **, I would go myself, but I don't so I am currently just out the money for no reason. This is terrible policy to treat fans this way. See screenshot attached from Ticketmaster chat, receipt and screenshot showing the transfer feature is unavailable. They do this to people and then say, "Oh no refunds" This is a scam.Business Response

Hello: At the beginning of August - on or around August 4th - I bought three tickets for Section 415, Seats 3-5 for a Yankees game that was supposed to occur on August 9th at 7:05 PM. The total transaction cost me $151.35. I was going with two other friends at the time. Unfortunately, obviously not to the fault of either myself nor the Yankees, there was inclement weather that night, and the game was postponed. (Note: the game was supposed to give away to the first however many fans a ***************** collectible item, free of charge.) Once the game was announced as officially postponed, I received an email saying that the game was postponed to the next day, AFTER the already-scheduled game that was to occur earlier in that day (Saturday, August 10th). Thus, a doubleheader was to be played, the second of which was the game I bought tickets for. Unfortunately - and this is complaint number one - ticketholders only of Friday's originally-scheduled game (my friends and I) were not allowed to view the game the next day (i.e., the second game); but ticketholders for the originally scheduled game were given the choice to stay for both games. The ***************** collectible was moved to another date of their choosing...So, per the Yankees' rain-out policy, no refunds were possible, but only exchanges of tickets for a later game (it is lucky that I live in the area and wasn't just visiting...). I ended up exchanging tickets, but all options given to me - through Ticketmaster, the site that the Yankees use officially - required at least ~$20 total for completely different seats elsewhere in the stadium. I demanded a refund despite their policy, but was forced - in order to get ANY cent of my money back - to list my exchanged tickets (now, again ~$20 more in value) on SeatGeek, the official partner the Yankees also use for their tickets. I am now out of $170, putting in energy that takes up my own time, and have been in contact with the Yankees. I need help, please!Business Response

Notwithstanding the fact that complainant: (a) agreed to the Yankees' rain check policy when he purchased the tickets; (b) exchanged his rain checks for higher priced tickets which he chose to purchase; and (c) attempted to resell his exchanged tickets, complainant was issued a full refund. As a result, the exchanged tickets that he has attempted to resell have been cancelled. Since complainant has received his refund, we consider this matter closed.Customer Answer

I purchased 2 tickets for the August 9, 2024, Yankees game on June 12, 2024. This game was rained out, and the rescheduled date was for an August 10, 2024 doubleheader, but only for fans with tickets for the August 10, 2024 game. I was told I would be able to exchange my rain check tickets. Upon trying to do so today, the system was only showing me more expensive tickets, even though tickets, in the section that I originally purchased, are available. I went in to Ticketmaster to search for available tickets, and there are hundreds of them available in the upper deck where my original tickets were purchased. I purchased semi ambulatory seating, and these are not an option at the price point they are trying to force me to. I spent $102.00 and they are only giving me tickets at an $84.00 total. At first, I tried to choose alternate seats, even though I wasn't happy paying additional money for worse seats, and the system kept declining every card I used. I then searched for several different dates, before finally giving up and emailing ************************************************** as the website suggests, but they don't respond. Since then, I have tried several times to go back in and try again, and the website just keeps spinning, when trying to pull up available seats. I have included a screenshot of that. I wanted to try going to the box office on the day of the game, but their website states explicity, "Anyone attempting to exchange tickets at the ************** Ticket Office will be directed to the online process." I live in ******* and will only be in ******** for 3 days at the end of September. I want to be able to use the tickets that I have already purchased, without spending additional money for worse seats, or I just want a refund. They are making this more difficult than it needs to be and I am starting to feel like I am being scammed.Business Response

Hello,I purchased 4 game ticket's and 4 meal deals on April 26, 2024 from Ticketmaster for this past Sunday, August 11th Yankees game. When I went to go use my ticket to get my meal deals, I was told by their employee that it was invalid. I asked another employee at ************** for assistance was told the same thing that my meal deal was invalid. This was very disappointing!I contacted Ticketmaster for a refund for my 4 unused meal deals and was told that the Event organizer which is **************, is not authorizing the refund. Please explain to me why? It is very unfair to pay for meal deals for your family and not be able to use them at the game. I should be issued a refund for the 4 meals deals I purchased.Business Response

Two Yankee ticket vouchers (purchased from ******* were received, redeemed then transferred to my son. I have screenshots proving that he received the tickets on his mobile device. On gameday (07/21/24), my son was unable to access the tickets via his iPhone and therefore, could not attend the game. I did speak to a representative from Ticketmaster who verified that the tickets were visible via the account manager system. She instructed me to login to am.******************************* to obtain the phone number to speak with a representative in order to gain access to the tickets. I tried every possible method of reaching out to the Yankees (phone, text and email) in order to seek replacement tickets to attend another game; but, have not heard back from them. Since these tickets were purchased using vouchers from ******* I realize that we can only attend certain games and be seated in particular sections of the stadium. I am not looking for better seats, I just want to be able to attend another approved game.Business Response

Please be assured that the New York Yankees (the Yankees) take all fan complaints seriously and appreciate your bringing ****************** complaint (ID ********* to our attention.
It is important to note that the current *** guidelines only suggest a 5-day additional precaution period after an initial 24 hour stay-at-home period (i.e., 6 days total). ****************** first reached out to Ticketmaster on 07/09/24 stating that he was unable to use the tickets to the 07/20/24 game because his wife had COVID 11 days prior to game date and 5 days longer than the *** guidelines.
Furthermore, the Yankees are nonplussed by ****************** request for a $1,200 refund since he only paid a total of $457.30 for his game and tour tickets (inclusive of fees).
Thus, notwithstanding the Yankees strict No Refund policy and the fact that ****************** or his wife are well outside the ***s COVID guidelines, the Yankees are only willing to refund ****************** a maximum of $457.30 and not the $1,200 he inexplicably seeks.
Please advise if this resolution is acceptable to ******************. If acceptable, the Yankees will have a credit processed via the same method ****************** used for payment.Customer Answer
