    I have a handmade prayer bead making company based in ****************, since 2005. I have been selling on Etsy since 2010 without issue. 95% of my handmade items are made by me in ********, the other 5% were imported, this when I established my account in 2010 was not an issue not in breach of any TOS that I was aware of. Etsy has been having financial trouble for years, and they are now using AI bots/ algorithms to shut down active seller account prohibiting many from selling or even purchasing on their platform. They make false accusations, changed their TOS and TOU without notifying sellers saying things like original handmade goods are in fact, not handmade and have no real person to discuss issues with and no live person to review appeals. I removed the 5 or 6 imported necklaces and filed and appeal, 100% in concurrence with their TOS and banned. Many valid sellers account are being suspended permanently with account balances from sales that they cannot access for 180 days or more and seller can not ship orders.Once banned sellers can not only not sell, but they cant not ever open another store, or even purchase on their platform being unjustly treated like criminals, when in fact many of us were accused falsely. I have bought many things there that are essential components of my manufacturing business with long term trusted relationships with vendors, now Etsy has prohibited me from even buying, image if thousands of peoples Amazon account were suspended and the platform told then they could never shop there again, egregious. If you have a problem on a platform,you should be notified and have staff there to *respectfully guide you.* There are thousands of complaints of near criminal wrongdoing, please investigate these practices at once, and mandate they they cease this bot/ suspension practice, and at least permit sellers to collect funds and shop there again. *************************************************************************************************************************************

    I'm a online etsy seller. my account name is lionsandmoons I make a living online selling items for etsy. I have been selling items for etsy for the last 6 years I have over 5500 sales and I'm a 5 star shop. I have made 60k a year for the last 6 years. On July 23 I was shut down for no reason. There AI is targeting my items online and flagging my account for no reason and now they shut down my account for no reason. I spoke to a manger about 3 years ago he said he had fixed the issue this year it got flagged twice for no reason then they shut it down I am heart broken I put all my energy into etsy to feed me and my family and I did nothing wrong to get my income wipped out and my store shut down. I have not got a response from etsy there is no one helping or looking at my account . how is this legal in ******* ?     I created an Etsy account on June 17th (5 weeks ago). I thoroughly read their terms and ensured I was not violating any of their policies. I went through all the steps and created my account and first listing (selling paper party banners I make by hand). I paid all associated fees to set up the account and make my first listing (around $25). Etsy suspended my account within 12 hours. Upon inquiry, they sent me a generic email. The email stated definitions for suspension but did not state information regarding my account (see below). I appealed the decision and waited the 2 week period twice and they did not respond either time. I used the Etsy callback number on July 22nd and was informed my account is permanently suspended. The employee reported he didn't know why and is not able to review my file to give me a reason. After expressing I feel that Etsy is scamming people out of paying the enrolment fee and not providing the service and demanding to speak to a manager, they reimbursed me $20 and told me I was permanently suspended, my account would be closed and I would never be able to buy or sell on Etsy again. I believe Etsy is scamming people and suspending them without reason.     I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ********, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

    Etsy states that my account is a risk and has been permanently suspended due to my account information. I have reviewed my account information and have not made any errors in entering my information. Please inform me what information you believe is incorrect and I am happy to correct it or provide you more information. 

    You also provide generic information regarding Etsy's appeal process. I am familiar with the appeal process and I have appealed the decision 4 times now, and each time Etsy dismisses my appeal without providing information. I called Etsy and was informed I am permanently suspended and there is nothing I can do to reinstate my account and my appeals will continue to be denied. By not working with your clients to support them to correct something as simple as contact information, and permanently suspending them without providing reason, I believe you are scamming people out of the enrolment fee to join Etsy. It is clear that you have too many people wanting to sell on Etsy and not enough staff to oversee the sellers so you are suspending people without reason and taking their enrolment fee. You need to do better as a company.

    I have reported a store ************ on Etsy several times it's been weeks and the store is still actively selling and price gouging. They are selling non handmade and none vintage items. Instead they are selling ** ***** **** ***** *** ********* items 3 times higher than the original price. I Will not purchase here anymore as Etsy flat out told me they have no solution for this even though it violates their policy. Since they are ok and tolerate Price gouging and the selling of non hand add items. I will not buy anymore from here and will also advice other to stay away!

    Etsy account user name - *************************** My etsy account is suspended by etsy sharing reason I violated listing rules. I have had the listing for more than 2 years I make the products on my own handmade and all of sudden that listing violated their rules and they suspended my account. That account was only source of income for me and my family.     This letter sets further forth Etsys position regarding the rejection dated August 14, 2024 against Etsy, Inc. (Etsy). Etsys service, Etsy.com, is a marketplace where people around the world, connect to buy and sell unique goods. To use the site, each individual must agree to Etsys Terms of Use and other site policies. The Customer is an ********************** member and agreed with Etsys Terms of Use.
    In the rejection, the Customer states that their issue is not resolved. The Customer requests the reinstatement of their account. 
    Based on the members' complaint, we have sent them a new message from Etsy Support.
    Since their complaint requires additional information regarding their payment account, we believe its best to communicate directly with the consumer.

    The response I received from etsy directly on my email does not even address my concern I raised. They said they cant do anything about it and account cannot be resintated, did not share reason which listings of my account violated the policy and denied the request. Now here on BBB they are saying they directly contact me it is utter nonsense I do not accept it. Please reinstate my account.

    This letter sets forth Etsys position regarding the response to the complaint filed on July 23 2024, against Etsy, Inc. (Etsy). Etsys service, Etsy.com, is a marketplace where people around the world connect to buy and sell unique goods. Individuals may open up his/her own shop on Etsy to sell unique goods. To use the site, each individual must agree to Etsys Terms of Use and other site policies. The Customer is an ********************** member and agreed with Etsys Terms of Use.

    In the complaint, the Customer states their account was suspended and they are requesting reinstatement. 

    Our records show that, after careful investigation, the Customers account was suspended on June ******* due to violations of Etsys Terms of Use and Customer. Customer filed an appeal on July 23  and Customers account was mistakenly reinstated on July 24 2024.  Once the error had been realized, Customers account was again suspended on July 30 2024  and customer was notified on July *******.

    Customers account had been permanently suspended for violating Etsys Terms of Use. Violations may include but are not limited to:
    * Items listed for sale dont meet our handmade, vintage, or craft supply policies
    * Items violate Etsys Prohibited Items Policy - ***************************************************
    * Shop violates Etsy's Intellectual Property Policy - *******************************************
    * The account owners information is inconsistent, incorrect, or closely associated with an account previously removed from Etsy
    The Customers account was identified as a risk based on a close review of their account information. As a result, the Customers account  was suspended.

    In order to protect the Etsy marketplace, we are not able to disclose our internal review process.

    Etsys Terms of Use state We may terminate or suspend your account (and any accounts ********************** determines are related to your account) and your access to the Services should we have reason to believe you, your Content, or your use of the Services violate our Terms..

    Any time Etsy elects to suspend an account for policy violations, we consider the overall risk of allowing closely related accounts to remain open.  Customers account was suspended due to a connection with a shop that is no longer eligible to operate on Etsy. While we're unable to disclose the specifics of our internal review criteria, the significance of the information connecting these accounts has led to this decision.

    We cannot consider Customers account separate from the other account that was no longer eligible to operate on Etsy due to the significance of the information connecting them. While we're unable to provide Customer with the exact information we used to conclude that Customers account is related to this other account, Customer can find the information ********************** keeps on file for members in our Privacy Policy.  Etsy Privacy Policy can be found here: *****************************************************;
