I entered my information to receive a free cookware set that ****** ***** was advertising through Instagram. All I needed to do was pay shipping, which I did. The next thing I know is that ********************** was charging me twice, once on February 19,2024 for $193.90 and again on February 25, 2024 for $101.35. I use *********** so the transactions are not allowed to go through, but they keep trying to charge me. I have tried contacting them but I can’t seem to get ahold of anyone. I don’t know what to do about this. Can someone please help me. I just want them to stop trying to charge me.

On 12/7/23 I ordered a ***** vacuum and a power screwdriver set (just pay shipping and handling) for $5.82 each. On 12/11/23 my card was charged 2 times for $86.31 (a total of $172.62). Called the 800 number provided by my bank and was told that by ordering those 2 items I had signed up for a subscription, which I was unaware I had done, because there was no mention of that when I placed the order! I was offered a refund of $86.31, but I am demanding a full refund of the $172.62. Sick and tired of these companies with such deceptive business practices! Be better!

On September 21 , 2023 I was on ******* web site when it said we could get a free wifi/booster for free but had to pay delivery charge of $5.82 plus a security camera for $ 19.98. WHen I looked at my checking account they had charge another booster for $19.98 which I called and they refunded the amount. On October 4, 2023 I was charged an unauthorized charge of $74.12 for some membership I knew nothing about. We thought that someone got ahold of my husbands debit card so my husband was issued a new one. Everytime you call you talk to someone different. They said it was cancelled and I said how can you cancel something that we did not authorize. Then she said because we disputed it they couldn't send it back. They sent a letter to my bank saying it was a authorize charge. I called again and they said when you ordered the booster you are also entered into some kind of membership which we had no acknownledge of..After reading the complaints on this web site it seems this place is a fraudulent business. I would appreciate you please looking into this matter for us and see if it can be resolved with a refund. Their representatives are well trained to deceive people. I am really upset with our bank as I feel they could have done more but we are seniors plus many of our bills are paid through them plus we have been with them for over 35 years. It would be to much work to switch now but I will be careful of them. Again, Thank you for your help.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.   Regards,  **** ******PS.The refund of 19,98 was because they charge me double for an item. I took a survey through *** pharmacy. I was then offered a free gift for completing the survey. I choose a small hand held vacuum and had to give my credit card number to pay for shipping. I received the token of thanks. Then, on 10/21 a charge of $59.96 appeared on my bank account and another for $74.12 appeared on 11/07/23. I contacted my bank and received the phone number of the company (Consumer Gadgets Direct) to rectify these charges. I called this company and they refused to return my money for some bogus “subscriptions” that I did not sign up for! They need to refund 100% of my total money they stole from me! ($134.08)

I received an Email on 9/17/2023 from consumergadgetsdepot.com. It was a purchase receipt for a product costing 5.95. I immediately E-mailed them back on 9/17/23 telling them I do not authorize them or any of their affiliates to withdraw money from my account. I never received a reply and 5.95 was withdrawn from my account by a company called ****** ****** ********. I once again E-mailed them on 9/2023 since I had no contact information, saying that I do not give them or any of their affiliates permission to take money from my bank account. I called the phone number listed on my bank statement for the merchant that took the money. I was not able to communicate my problem to the person who answered at that phone number. She kept telling me I would have to contact the seller but couldn’t provide me a contact name or number. Furthermore, she had a thick accent and was very difficult to understand. On 9/22/23, once again a withdraw from my account in the amount of 79.95 occurred from the same company, ****** ****** ********. I did not order anything from either of these companies and did not give permission for them to take money from my bank account. This is criminal and needs to be stopped.

I was duped into believing I was awarded a free ****** drill set by agreeing to pay shipping charges of $7.95. Two days later I received a bill for $79.95 for a subscription that I was not advised I was signing up for. I alerted my credit card company and I called Consumer Gadgets Direct upon receipt of the bill and cancelled my "supposed" subscription. I will track this to ensure the subscription was in fact cancelled.
