In mid to late February, I sent in a coupon to Mystic Stamp Company to take advantage of an offer that consisted of receiving 100 old/new stamps for $1.00. On the coupon I mailed in it asked for credit/debit card information which I provided. Shortly thereafter the 100 stamps arrived with other stamps to review and if kept would cost me $28. I returned the stamps in the prepaid envelope that was provided. Note that there was "no obligation" with accepting the 100-stamp offer. ** *** ******* ***** card was never charge the $1.00. However, on March 1, 2023 when I received a direct deposit from my employer, I noticed that $57 was missing at the exact same time. Prior to that, this card only had $1.51 on it. I called *** ******* and they informed me that Mystic Stamp Company charged my card. I did submit a dispute to them. Mystic denies charging my card. Coincidentally, I recently received a statement from them dated March 1, 2023 indicating that I had a zero balance with no balance due, which is odd because with the exception the $1.00 stamp offer, I have never ordered anything from them. What I realize now is that the "too good to be true" 100 stamp offer was nothing but a ploy to get peoples cards numbers, which is not a new tactic but it may be new to Mystic Stamp. A company well known for being highly shady and dishonest at best. I am requesting that they refund my $57 by either a credit to the now-replaced but still connected card, or by mailing me a check. I forgot to mention that the $1.00 was not mentioned in the March 1 statement they sent me. I am on a fixed income and cannot afford to lose $57 to these criminals. Hello Mr. ****,As you were told when you called earlier in March, Mystic Stamp never charged any amount to your credit card. Other than the $1 set of stamps you mentioned here, there are no other orders from you. Mystic Stamp does not charge any amount to a customer's credit card without prior authorization. I'd gotten several stamp collections through the mail for the last 3 or so years from this comp.,I was going through them and I noticed these aren't stamps their cut out paper or something.ive paid this company several hundreds of dollars every month I'm paying them not for fake stamps .I want my money back .Business response

Good morning Ms. *******,The stamps you sent images of are authentic U.S. postage stamps. They were issued in lower quantities than stamps with perforations, so you don't see them in your regular mail very often. But they are definitely genuine stamps, not cut pieces of paper. Today 10/21/22 I received another set of unsolicited stamps to either pay for or send back. I am a previous customer but have asked numerous times to be removed from any and all mailings related to their stamps. But I am still reviving stamps without asking for them. I have returned all previous stamps and do not owe anything on my account. All I am asking is to be removed from ALL of their stamp on approval mailing lists and NOT to receive any further stamps from Mystic Stamp Company. I have returned at least 5 orders either "RTS Did Not Order" or wrote Stop Sending on the invoice of returned items. I now have an unwanted imperforate set I did not request and need to pay return postage on because I inadvertently opened it thing it was a text book. ****** ******Business response

This company keeps sending us items we didn't request and then says we have to pay. We have paid for things that we didn't even want. This has to come to a stop. We just paid a collection agency for two unwanted items. And the collection agency said we have one more item to pay for!! They will not be getting any more money from us. They claim my minor has signed up for stamps and they are sending me bills to pay for this service. My minor has never signed up for any stamp program nor do they have my permission to do so. This is a deceptive false subscription practice in order to extract money from unwitting parents. This company needs to be investigated for this behavior. BBB.org has other similar reports.Business response

I want to cancel my membership. This company sends unsolicited stamps and other things that I don't want to receive. Then says I have to pay for them. I have contacted the company and they continue to send me stamps that I do not want.Business response

I ordered an Elvis 50cent coin thru a mail delivered hand flyer. The flyer said the coin was free for submitting the completed form. A few weeks later I received an envelop from Mystic saying the coin was attached. The envelop did not contain a coin. This is the 3d complaint to date. I received an email with attachment from ****** of the BBB on April, 29, 2022. Jessica, of Mystic Stamp apologized for Mystic and informed me the account balance was zero and the account closed. Copies of this correspondence is in the BBB archive. Fast forward to May 17, 2022. I received a May 13, 2022 letter (3d letter), with return envelop, from Mr. Donald S******, President of Mystic Stamp Co. The form letter states"...several weeks ago I sent you the Elvis coin you ordered. Along with it I also sent two Elvis coins "on approval" as mentioned in the ad..." Again, I did not receive any coins in the March 29, 2022 envelop, and Jessica apologized for "...any confusion the second letter may have caused, and the account was closed". The closed account was **********. The account number on the May 13, 2022 S****** form letter appears to be ********. Close all accounts with my name on them please since I never received any coins, only an empty envelop on May 17, 2022.Business response

My family has been dealing with mystic Stamp for over 60 years and until recently they have been a great company to work with and I have purchased many items. I will continue to purchase stamps from them as needed, but I do not wish them to send me unsolicited stamps. Back in January 2022 I requested the company to all cancel my subscriptions and they agreed. Then on 4/5/22 I received a package of stamps in the mail. I called the company and talked to a representative and she told me these stamps were sent out sometimes to see if customers might want to start receiving shipments again. I again stated I wanted all stamp to be stopped unless I actually purchased them from their website. I actually ended up purchasing these stamps because their was no return envelope supplied and the cost of shipping the stamps and going to the post office (miles away), it was easer to just pay for the items. I was guaranteed any other shipments would be stopped. Well today April 11th 2022 I receive another shipment. again with no return envelope. I would like these shipments to stop.
