My mom and I purchased a car at Prestige Toyota of *********** Thursday, September 27, 2023. Everything went fine until i requested that a wheel spinner on our old car which , we were trading in , be transferred to the new vehicle. I showed the individuals involved my drivers license and said it was not illegal after they claimed it was. Then after i appropriately stood up for myself, they told me to stop yelling at them, which I was not doing ..i was frustrated as a disabled individual who needs the wheel spinner to dtive safely, and it is on my drivers license.My complaint is primarily based on the attitude of the personnel' toward someone who is only looking out for their ********** until this point, everything was going smoothly. I understand that if laws have to be changed that's something to be taken up with the state legislature,but the attitude of people concerning wheel spinners and how they relate to customers must chsnge. I do not appreciate being yelled at and berated, especially when we paid cash for the vehicle we purchased. Honestly, I am debating whether to retain counsel to pursue a negligent inflicion of emotional distress charge .I graduated law school but am not currently practicing and o generally hate conflict around these issues but when wrong information is conveyed, I feel conpelled to actReview from Charles B

Purchased a car with a extended warranty 2 years ago and have not had to use it till recently. I called their service **** 2X and both times it went to recording saying leave a message and they will return call by the following business day. Its been over a month later and still No response from service department.Review from Joanne R

My daughter's car died on July 10th. Being newly retired, I drove her every day to and from her job (various locations). We went to Prestige in ********, ** on Friday, July 15th and met ***** our salesman who found us a car that she fell in love with. We were happy with the car and put a $500 deposit on it. We wanted to take possession of the car ASAP. However, aside from several other issues we had with the dealership, the final straw was when I received a call from **** the following Thursday who advised me that they did NOT have the title in hand. But how can they sell it without the title? How do they even have it out on the sales lot for car seekers to find, test drive, fall in love with and put a deposit on it when they don't have the title? This absolutely infuriated us. We were advised that the car came from *************, and they had paid off the lien on July 6. My daughter and I jumped through hoops to get things moving, ie: phone calls to **** ******** *** to find out if and when the title had been mailed - no help there, to other dealerships to get their thoughts on this issue, to ******** ****** **** etc. but kept hitting obstacles. Their phone system is for the birds... You cannot speak to any salesman, financial office, title clerk directly unless or if they call you back and that didnt happen. How they stay in business is beyond me. In addition to the above, we requested they temporarily give my daughter a loaner so she can get to and from work on her own. Per ***** all loaners were out. Then we requested a demo car for her to drive. Per ***** salespeople drive their own car. No demos. Then we requested a used car. Per ***** they dont allow that.We'd give them ZERO stars if that was an option! We were finally called today, August 5, (3 weeks after finding the car) and advised they finally located the title, and it would be here in several days. I went to purchase a 2018 ******* Tuscan. My sales person Gabby was excellent. The problem is when I went to sign contract with the finance lady *****************************. When it came to purchasing the *** insurance I asked her would I be able to add it after I spoke to my insurance company to see if they offered it. She told me after today I would not be able to add it. So I declined it and finished signing. After I left her office I sat in Gabby chair to call the insurance company that said they dont offer the same type. So I had Gabby get ***************************** and told her I wanted to add the ***. She informed me it was too late and she told me that. I said no you said after TODAY its been 5 mins. She said no its not like before where everything was paper everything gets send with the click of a button. Once I click next its gone. So I said well who do I speak to about that. Her tone then changed and she repeated what she said again. I noticed the tone and change in her demeanor so I asked her how do I return the car. She says there is no returns. Its your problem now. You can take the car leave it whatever but its yours. So I say who do I speak to the bank? She says yes. I said ok whats the banks name. She says ****** financial. So I asked her for the number she told me to LOOK IT UP. I said what? she said look it up. She said the number I call is not the number you would. Gabby then got on the computer and looked it up to give me the phone number. She was extremely rude and unprofessional. This is the second time I brought a car from ******. I returned because the people I worked with before NeVer treated me and spoke to me like that. I felt used and once she got what she wanted she didnt care how she handled me. And I also remember seeing on their website 48 hr no questions asked return policy. I brought this up to the sales manager he said they been trying to take that off the website im feeling scammed. Since 2009 my family and I have either leased or bought a RAV4 from Prestige Toyota in ******** **. The salesperson was ********************* *****, that has since been promoted to a Finance manager.My current lease terminates next month, and I want to purchase my vehicle. I have made more than 5 calls to ***** including a message on ******** to no avail.I have also called the general manager who has NOT returned my call.Bottom line, they want me to turn in my 2019 RAV4 and lease me a new car. It is obvious that the buyout is about $6,000.00 less than the current inflated value of the RAV4. I have arranged for a loan through my credit union, instead of Toyota ( their Loss) . Now they will not respond to my need for necessary lease end protocol. The Toyota web site is useless.Review from Nicole K

If I could give zero stars, I would. My husband and I went to this dealership over the weekend and spent hours there trying to find a new vehicle for our family. We looked at a few different cars, discussed financing options, then ultimately decided on one of their pre-owned vehicles on the lot. We filled out credit applications/paperwork and set an appointment to pick up the car the following Friday. Today, Wednesday, two days before we were set to pick up the car, we got a text message from our sales representative stating that the bank is requiring thousands of dollars down and if "that worked for us". We were trading in our old vehicle and not putting any money down, so obviously this did not work for us. The dealership gave us an "oh well, too bad" type explanation and a disingenous attitude toward the whole situation. My husband and I were furious that we wasted so much time, had our credit scores affected, just to be told we couldn't get this vehicle. When speaking to the manager, she stated there must have been a "miscommunication" between us and the sales representative. She also stated if she was the one doing the sale, she would have told us it was going to be a difficult approval to get from the bank. The fact is, she was not the one doing the sale and we trusted the sales representative to guide us in the right direction. We will NEVER buy a vehicle from this dealership and would caution anyone from considering a purchase through Prestige of Kingston, as they do not take accountability or value their customers.
