1 starI purchased a Gold Shield 5L car cover that only lasted 16 weeks this spring/summer before degrading. Like others they want to charge pro-rated to replace it. I have never seen a product degrade so fast that had a "Lifetime warranty". This is a scam to get you to keep paying them for poor quality covers.
They will not even do a pro-rated refund for a product that failed so quickly.

1 starThis company is a fraud. They sell cheap car covers with a lifetime warranty. The covers fall apart in under 1 year and when you contact them for the warranty you have to pay a fee to receive the replacement. The 1st replacement I had to pay $54. Now it's only been 6 months and I contacted them again since it has completely started crumbling and falling apart, making a huge mess everywhere and they want me to pay $72. This is ridiculous and fraud. All lies!!! DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS COMPANY.CarCover.com

1 starLifetime warranty? What lifetime warranty. Crazy how you can spend $200+ for peace of mind that the cover will last but only took less than 2 years and the cover is already deteriorating. Asked for warranty replacement and they are charging nearly half of what I paid for the item.CarCover.com

1 starREAD THIS BEFORE PURCHASING:
I purchased a carcovers.com platinum cover with gust straps and they failed with the first 20mph wind in my home state of New Jersy only 35 days after purchase.
Carcovers.com suggested I purchase gust straps in case of wind, however their warranty does not cover any damage that may occurr from such failure of straps.
This damage occurred after the 1st lite wind that we received, and the gust straps purchased through carcovers.com failed. The gust straps included bungee cords and alligator clips. The clips broke, and the bungees snapped back. My car paint chipped from this strap failure.
Bad design, and worse customer service and warranty. After I reached out to carcovers.com, they conveyed that since the damage occurred after the 30 day purchase period, carcovers.com would not warranty the cover for replacement. I never asked for replacement or refund, I asked that they would consider repair to my ********.... their answer didn't even consider my complaint, nor did they react to the picture I sent them with the damage to my car.
Furthermore, after reading their warranty, they really don't warranty anything. They write stuff, but they shield themselves from everything.
The above said, if you purchase a cover from them and utilize the gust straps, expect to have damage to your car.
I suggest not purchasing anything from this company.

1 starI have purchased a total of four car covers with this company. The very first one being in 2016 that when failed to keep the water out as advertised me thinking that well. I just got a bad one. I didn't go through the warranty process. I just went ahead and purchased another one and also three additional ones for three other vehicles. The most recent being April of 2024. All of the covers I have received within 6 to 8 months or so start allowing water to seep through onto the car. I do not recommend this company. They want to try to offer you replacements for like $84 a piece when they're supposed to have this fantastic warranty that they do not stand behind. More people need to wait on giving reviews until after they've had the product a while because the quality when first received looks good. Give it time these car covers do not hold up. They start chaulking in the sun and then they also start allowing water to seep through onto your vehicle 6 months to a year outCarCover.com

Our covers are designed to be water-resistant and protective, but extended outdoor exposure, sun, and weather conditions can eventually affect performance. That said, your experience of seepage within 6–8 months is not the standard we aim for, and I understand how disappointing this must be.
Regarding the warranty, our coverage is lifetime but prorated—this means as time passes, there is a replacement cost contribution from the customer, which is why you were quoted $84. However, in light of your long-standing relationship with us, I’d like to make this right:
We can honor a one-time replacement at a much lower fee, closer to the original shipping/handling rate.
Alternatively, we can offer you a significant discount on an upgraded cover, which has stronger UV resistance and better long-term water protection.
If you can provide your most recent order number, I’ll personally review your case and ensure you receive a resolution that feels fair.
We truly appreciate your feedback—it helps us improve our products and service.

1 starIf I could give no stars I would. This company is the biggest joke on the internet. Not sure why a company would spend money on advertising when they don't have the inventory to cover demand.... it's not like covers have a shelf life and can spoil. 2-4 day shipping... try 4-5 weeks! I flipped out on their customer service this morning because after being baited along for weeks and told "next week" then again "next week" my next answer I got from them was "it's shipping today and you should notice the tracking move on Monday". Now it's Tues and nothing more than a shipping label has been printed... the same shipping label thats been printed since the beginning of NOVEMBER. This morning I called to see what the problem is now and was told "we should have more stock on Friday." This company is run by a pack of clowns.CarCover.com

1 starBought a rv cover from CarCover.com. Dont ever buy from them. Product was ordered on October 3rd 2024. Website says in stock. You would think a company that sells covers for rv's , cars, trucks has them in stock. I get a call about a week later asking me if I can wait till the 15th for the rv cover. They claim they have 40 of them but can't find any of them. They are getting another shipment of them and will ship a rv cover out guaranteed on the 15th. I call the other day on the 16th of October to check on shipping status. Now I get told oh the container of goods is coming in and it will ship out the 18th guaranteed. Frustrated said no I can't keep waiting. I want to cancel my order. Then the guy at ************* argues with me about cancelling and trying to bribe me with another discount. He says they get the covers from some place in ******. Don't buy from these guys. Sounds like they dont even make the covers they just get these generic covers from a 3rd party supplier somewhere else. Went and bought another ADCO Rv cover. A company who actually makes their own covers. Will not do business with them ever. Tell me one day then get the run around and telling me will ship out another day. Then arguing with the customer who wants to cancel their order because the customer is seeing they don't have the covers.Review fromMartin M

1 starI was initially pleased with my Gold Shield 5L outdoor cover. It fit well and at $150 (with 61% off) seemed like a good deal that can withstand extreme weather conditions, including desert climate (quote: "This five (5) layers car cover is expertly crafted to withstand all weather extremities, from desert heat to severe snow storms, ensuring your car is well-protected.").
All was well for 7 months until we hit our Arizona summer and the grey top layer started to pulverize. You could literally blow or tuck on it and see the grey dust fly away and uncover more and more of the white layer underneath.
I contacted the warranty department, sent them photos, and they determined I had a defective product and was eligible for a full replacement at no charge. So far, so good. None of the hassles with lifetime warranty others have reported. But after another month of 110+ F. heat, the same started happening. The top layer is disappearing and showing more and more of the white underneath.
I don't see the point of applying for a second replacement in less than a year if the product just doesn't live up to the stated climate specification. Even if the company responded to this, I don't see what can be resolved with more of the same.
