I want to share my experience with Ellinwood Dental to hopefully prevent someone else from going through a similar situation. Ellinwood had the task of making dental crowns to be placed on pre-existing dental implants. I went for the impressions in December 2024. At the impression appointment the dental assistant Lisa had me handing her tools, holding molds and pulling the molds out of my mouth. She also chose the wrong color for the crown and placed blame on me at the following appointment. I was frustrated but remained professional. They scheduled me back in February to have the second set of crowns placed. Less than 12 hours after they were placed one of the crowns came loose. I called the office and the office manager Sherry told me I need to stay off of google. I was able to convince them to let me come at which time they did confirm it was loose. They then ordered the new part but failed to order the wrench needed to place it and asked me to drive to Syracuse to pick it up, which I did. They have left me with a loose dental implant for over two weeks and they continue to try to reschedule me over and over instead of fixing the loose implant. I have not complained through this process and have remained professional and patient. I expressed my concern to the office manager for the safety of leaving a loose implant this long and she told me they will not be fixing it and will be dropping me. I contacted a new dental office and they were mortified to learn how long they left me with a loose dental implant. I was told this is a safety concern as they can come loose and be swallowed and leaving them loose can ruin the actual implant. There is a lot more that transpired and I unfortunately can’t fit everything in my review. I’m not the type of person who does reviews but it was made very clear fixing their mistakes is not a priority and the safety of the patient does not matter.

Cara presented to our office for crown over an implant that was already placed at another office. We did not order wrong parts for implant, the parts came from the office where she had the implants placed. We received parts from the office but needed another part Cara offered to go get from the other office we did not ask her to. Cara had her mom come to appointment with her and Cara was asking her mom if she had any questions multiple times. Cara has called the office also stating she was reading online how food can get trapped ect. Again Cara was letting us know what information she had found on google comparing to what was being instructed by the dentist making it difficult to reassure and treat her as she was taking the info from google article and trusting it over what Dr is advising and treating., Sherry did recommend to not google as not all the information is true or correct. The office was closed due to weather we did reschedule Cara on a day that Dr did need to leave early . A man in background was stating we are not seeing her because we messed up he was using vulgar language. Due to the irrational behavior and trust issue with her believing google and man yelling in the back we refunded Cara’s money to her immediately even for work on a tooth that was fine and refunded her insurance . We did offer her an earlier appointment she declined. Cara said she cannot wait and needed to let me know what she was going through although she was offered an earlier date before at weather closure and she said no was on vacation and wouldn’t be back in time. Evan after telling Cara Dr would not be here she was still insisting to be seen. Cara stated I need to let you know what I am going through and never did say what she was going through was just saying I can’t go on with this I can’t wait you don’t understand. Cara was not release from office this was her and man’s words. Thank You, Ellinwood Dental.
