I brought my 6 year old son there on Thursday night at 8:30 pm. My son was prescribed medicine for the possibility of having pneumonia. The provider that was there was supposed to send the prescription to *** on Armstrong and Arthur Kill. The prescription never went thru, my wife showed up to *** the next day and the pharmacist said there was no record. My wife in turn called PM Pediatrics and the girl on the phone said she will have to wait for the current provider to finish seeing patients before they are able to call the provider from last night to confirm the information. They were not able to provide a time that the provider will take care of this. Now mind you all of these offices take your copay before you are even seen. Its just not right the process you have to go through to get your childs prescription, I was a patient from the night before who paid already we should not have to wait for other patients to be seen for our prescription to go thru. My wife all upset from *** called me at work, in turn I called PM Pediatrics flustered I told them if my sons prescription is not ready by the time I get off I will come to the office. They took it as a threat and wrote me up in my sons record. My frustration comes from this happening to us for a second time. Last year we took my daughter to PM Pediatrics during flu season, it was late at night and the only pharmacy open was the *** on the other side of Staten island. We went straight there from PM Pediatrics, upon arrival *** never received the prescription and when we called PM Pediatrics they were closed already. I understand things happen, you forget to submit the prescription but where is the sympathy, they don't treat you like a patient. I spoke to the office manager ******** today and she was not sincere at all they were still writing me up in their report, I explained to her what happen and that it should not come to a parent having to call up being irate to get the prescription thru.

I brought my 10 year old son here for suspected strep. He has severe anxiety when it comes to any medical tests. Before the nurse (her name is *****) swabbed his throat , he started to cry. He was begging me not to get a strep test. I was trying to calm his emotions by gently talking to him. The nurse ***** chimed in and said youre too old to be acting like this and youre keeping me from other patients. She was in the room with us for a total of 5 minutes at this point and was trying to use humiliation to coax my son into taking the strep test. At the end of the 5 minutes I was able to convince him to open his mouth. She swabbed his throat and he jerked his head back and hit the wall. Her response was see? You hit your head because youre acting like this. Youre too old for this. She didnt even ask if he was okay. I told her not to speak to my son like that and asked that she send in a different nurse who was less condescending. As I waited in the exam room for results I watched a commercial for pm peds stating how they knew how to care for children and alleviate the stress of going to the dr. **** was ironic. My child suffers from anxiety and she treated him like a bratty kid that was just being difficult. The waiting room had a big sign that said pm peds supports mental health for kids and yet their own nursing staff belittles a 10 year old who is crying about a strep test?? UNACCEPTABLE and borderline abusive. I have an urgent care much closer to my home that costs the same as PM peds but I chose to bring him to PM peds thinking they would know how to use love and care with my child. I asked to speak to a manager at the *************** location and was told they didnt have one there. How is that ok? I hope my son didnt injure himself as a result of this nurses cold, abrasive rhetoric bc then PM peds will be hearing from me.

PM Pediatrics keeps sending me bills for a service I already paid for and keeps autocharging my credit card. I keep trying to reach their billing department to explain but no one ever picks up the phone or calls you back. They also never sent me an actual statement. Horrible.

This urgent care is very strange. I took my niece who is 6mo here and she is a brown/colored child. We watched MULTIPLE Caucasian/Fair-skinned children go in before us. Even an infant, so it wasnt just that they were taking older kids back first. After waiting over 35 minutes and witnessing such discrimination, I went up to the front to cancel her appt, by which time, they decided to call her back. However, I was uncomfortable letting her be treated by them after such treatment in the front. None of those children before her had preregistered appointments as I watched and listened to them all check in. Whats worse is that after asking the front desk clerk for the corporate information and the manager information, she gave me only a sticky note with the manager name and email. I discounted her as she was obviously deaf/hard of hearing with an aid. After I asked her, all politely by the way, a second time for corporate information, her name, and the names of the nurses in shift, she goes to the back and brings one of the nurses. The nurse proceeds to give me the same sticky notes and after asking for corporate information again, she tells me that she is not giving corporate information because she does not want to. Then she gives a catty remark stating she hopes my niece gets better. To the Caucasian nurse with the chipped nail polish and worn HOKA sneakers, reconsider your existence as well as the profession youve chosen. There are far too many in the healthcare field who are merely there for the pay, rather than true care of patients. Its very sad that my brown niece and myself, a brown, Muslim hijab wearing woman were treated unequally because of this. Additionally, giving a survey assessing mental health, education, and home safety to ONLY colored patients is absurd. This clinic lacks care, discernment, and kindness among many other things. I will be posting this review any and everywhere and will be getting the corporate information myself

Very very bad experience. My kid finally got hospitalized because they did not know what they were doing and misdiagnosed my kid. They never make the right decision. They have part time irresponsible nurse to judge and make decisions on your child situation. No doctor and double check. Nothing. And they never take measures to make it up. Super cruel and evil. They claimed as pediatrics but they dont have doctors. What a fraud!

I took my son to the ************** location in mid December, 2023. I was told that I had to pay $160 for the office visit or give them a credit card to hold. They said that they would refund me the amount that I didn't owe once the insurance paid. So I paid $160. Later, the insurance indicated that I only owed $24, so I called regarding getting a refund in January, ****. They agreed that I was owed a refund and that they would process a refund. I still have not received a refund on my card, after calling 3 more times, including today, February 23, ****. Today, they promised to have someone call me about it on Monday. However, they promised that a manager would call me when I called last week. No one called, and still no refund. It's a shame that Children's ******** is affiliated with an organization like this. I was referred to them from our pediatrician, so I plan to let our pediatrician know these issues as well. If I had seen all of the complaints against them on BBB before we went, I wouldn't have gone here. I give them a 0.

I called on Monday 10/9/2023 to discuss the bill I received via email. I let the lady on the phone know that my son had been enrolled in my husband insurance. My son being born 7/20/2023 that of it didn't go through that it was still pending. But that per insurance they would back date all bills to his birth. They said they would not take any money out and would resubmit. Why it is tonight 10/11/2023 I look at my account and they took the money out. This is ridiculous I will not be going here again.

Pm pediatrics did resolve the issue but I will not be returning as a customer unless there is a emergency where the pediatrician isn't open.

Brought my 8month old daughter back in to PM pediatrics for a double ear infection. First found amoxicillin, did not work. They recommended augmentin. My daughter can not have augmentin, she has had a reaction before, all of my kids have. I am not sure why, since they can tolerate amoxicillin. We told her she cant have it and refused to pivot to another antibiotic and left us with nothing. She was rude, unprofessional and continuously downplaying my daughters previous reaction and telling me that my concerns were meritless and that I should give her this medication even though I know the outcome and that probiotics will solve the issue. I guess I should take the word of a doctor who doesnt know my daughter from a hole in the wall over my own experience and medical history of my daughter. It was unacceptable unprofessional and wildly concerning.
