AKC is NOT screening Breeders. They also do not accept any accountability for allowing them to be listed on their website and giving them the stamp of approval by naming them "breeder of merit" This breeder LIED to me about the health of SIRE and DAM when I reached out for a health history on behalf of my dog. She said "I wont bother the *** owners" with this, "they are both doing fine" Only to find out they are actually dead and have a line history of cancer. She lied, was rude and put my dog at risk. This is nothing better than a puppy mill breeder and AKC keeps sending scripted answers, delays and stating they claim no responsibility for the breeders they have listed on their website. WOW! That is nothing better than a fraudulent organization masquerading as one with credibility, morals and standards. Clearly based on the pattern of this type of complaint it demonstrates this organization needs to be investigated as well. BUYER BEWARE! Trust me, AKC's next move will be another scripted unhelpful response just like the ones listed in the other complaints shown. The American Kennel Club, Inc.

Akc insurance is a scam. We have never received once cent for reimbursement. We purchased the latest policy but due to " system glitches " on their end, had to call in and have everything done by an agent as we were being charged for the policy but no policy was showing up because it didn't exist. When we filed a claim they denied it stating the policy had a discrepancy that the dogs name didn't match. I went and looked at the policy. Under pet name, they had put MY NAME . They also had reason codes to deny everything else when in fact the reason for the vet visit wasn't exempted. Doing some further looking at my policy it wasn't set up the way I had asked with the wrong coverage amounts and everything. I finally gave up and canceled over email because the policy wasn't set up the way I asked, they made errors in the policy such as putting my name under pets name and then denying my claim because of it. They also find any and every reason to not cover anything. Looking back over the years they haven't reimbursed me a single *****.The American Kennel Club, Inc.

AKC pet insurance is a scam. Says **** give you 30 days of insurance free with FREE 24/7 vet hotline. I chatted with 3 different reps * **** only take info * then tell you it's $5 to talk to a vet. They want your info to then charge you $35 a month. The American Kennel Club, Inc.

We were able to find a policy for ******* but we are concerned that she might have been calling a different 24/7 vet helpline than ours. Please let us know what number she was calling, then we can research it further. We spoke to her once on 1/24 after she had activated the 30 day policy and answered a question about how to file a claim but the 24/7 vet helpline didnt come up. ************ is our AKCPI 24/7 vet helpline phone number and they just ask for a policy number and then help our customers from there.Review fromMary S

AKC failed to confirm ******'s registration and proof of ownership prior to wrongfully accepting and recording a fraudulent Notification without my name and illegal transfer of stolen s**** (7 vials) to ***************************** and ******************* wrongfully signed by ***** and *************************. This is a ******************** I have a Russian Ovcharka imported from ******, i was told that due to the war in ******* i can not register my dogs. Im an American and i dont see how my dogs have anything to do with *****. And as for my statement of them being Racist here is goggles definition. Prejudice, discrimination, or antagonism by an individual, community or INSTITUTION against a person or people on the basis of their membership in a particular racial or ethnic group, typically one that is a minority or marginalized. As per this definition they are Racist, i feel that this should be addressed in your BBB statement about the AKC, if we allow behavior like this to continue no telling where it will stop. AKCreunite AKC If I could rate negative stars I would. I will NEVER EVER recommend these two organizations to anyone EVER!!! Over 20 years ago I purchased a purebred dog with AKC parents but was told I could not register her because their exact reason we have too many poodles at this time what???? Well since I wasnt going to breed for commercial purposes no big deal.. now I purchase a rescue dog who is microchipped with AKCreunite. The person who completed the adoption form for me used their information instead of mine (yes I know, who does that right?) and now my life is full of nightmares. Multiple phone calls and 3 X that amount of e-mails and the nightmares get worse. AKCreunite is only willing to change lost dog contact to have me called should dog be lost/stole/found, but no way in Hades will they change dog owners name. I set up an AKCreunite account to update my dogs vet info, correct name spelling, add visual characteristics etc. . BUT IM NOT ALLOWED TO ADD MY OWN DOG TO MY ACCOUNT. Why not??? BECAUSE they say hes not my dog. I have contacted them by phone/e-mail, the person who filled out form incorrectly called/e-mailed and the rescue organization has contacted them as well. I am even willing to pay transfer fee and keep getting the same old broken record directions hiw to do it on-line. But every time I have tried, no less than ten times, I get same error message that the dog belongs to someone else. They say fill out paper form, request it by e-mail. Tried that. You got it right, error message saying its not my dog, so they wont send it. Therefore I am through dealing with them. So I tried deleting the account I set up with them, apparently thats not allowed either. What a joke this organization is.The American Kennel Club, Inc.

AKC Reunite was contacted about the Lost and Found Enrollment for Tiko the dog. The Rescue that **** was adopted from submitted the enrollment in the spouse's name. AKC Reunite has offered to transfer the enrollment at no charge, into the other spouse's name. At this time she has declined our offer. We advised her that should she reconsider and wish to transfer the enrollment, to contact AKC Reunite and we would be happy to handle the transfer free of charge.Review fromAdreana L

We went to AKC to get a puppy thinking they due their due deligence to make sure the breeders are legit but they dont. We got a puppy from a person who is selling sick puppies and intentionally doing so. She said she was a hobby breeder and only breeds once a year that was a lie. AKC has let her shut down her first kennel name because of complaints made and has now opened up another kennel name and selling more sick dogs. After a formal complaint and emails she is still able to sell these sick dogs and they wont take it down because they say she is a registered dog breeder. How is this happening knowing that this breeder is a possible puppy mill!?! Where is the AKC standards at???? There is so far 6 families I have found that have had this breeder sell them a sick puppy in the last 8 months! AKC has been made aware they are doing nothing about it! God only knows the condition these mothers of the puppies are in. ************** and animal control have been made aware but I cant do anything because AKC will not release her address so I can have these dogs checked on. Hope everyone at AKC can sleep at night knowing they are contributing to puppy *****!The American Kennel Club, Inc.
