      Hi,I recently noticed that there have been ongoing charges from Bumper LLC to my ****** account since February 2024. I used their service once and paid $1, but I did not agree to monthly charges to my account for a service that I did not ask for. This is theft, and I need to be refunded for all recurring charges since since February 2024.

      While I appreciate the partial refund, I'm still extremely upset. This is a shady business tactic. I agreed to a one time charge and was completely unaware of these charges until recently. From my understanding this is not an uncommon experience either. If I am not given greater compensation I will be escalating this to the FTC.

      I was interested in buying a 2008 Dodge Ram 1500 from a private seller. I registered on 12/26/2024 with ********** doing business as Bumper, LLC to obtain a vehicle report. The vehicle report from ********** stated that the Dodge Ram 1500 had a clean title and no prior accidents, so I purchased it. After insuring the vehicle, I became aware that the vehicle not only had been in two (2) auto accidents, but it also had structural damage. This information was confirmed by LexisNexis and the reporting auction house. I would not have purchased this vehicle had I been aware of this important information. Furthermore, due to the structural damage, my insurance premiums for that vehicle is higher because the vehicle is considered a greater liability. I reached out to Bumper, LLC on 1/22/2025 through their Bumper bot app to lodge a complaint and get some form of remedy. I spent almost one (1) hour typing back and forth to not one but two (2) individuals, the latter being a Floor Supervisor. Of course, all I received were a bunch of apologies and no action. Im here to warn others not to utilize **********, but to instead use Carfax, they stand behind their reports and offer a Buy Back Guarantee. ********** DBA Bumper, LLC has not heard from the last of me. I plan to escalate this matter to a civil law suit if there isnt a satisfactory remediation

      At Bumper, we strive to provide as much publicly available vehicle history information as possible, but as noted in our reports, we are limited to the data made available to us through our providers, such as government agencies, non-profit organizations, and industry sources.

      Unfortunately, not all accidents or damage records are reported to us, which is why we strongly encourage users to take additional stepssuch as vehicle inspections, test drives, and formal title searchesbefore purchasing a vehicle.
      Regarding the report in question, we want to clarify that the Damage History section stated:
      "No accident records found. Please note that the absence of any information or results within our reports may not necessarily be 100% accurate, complete, or up to date, so please do not use it in lieu of your own due diligence."


      Additionally, we prominently notify users at the top of each report:
      "Information about this vehicle, such as issues relating to title, theft, damage, or otherwise, may not have been reported to us. You should strongly consider a vehicle inspection, test drive, and formal title search to make a more informed decision before proceeding."


      We also include a general disclaimer across all pages:
      "We cannot guarantee the comprehensiveness or accuracy of the information provided, and you should not rely solely on our data to determine whether a vehicle has been involved in an accident."

      I want to warn others about Bumper LLCs deceptive billing practices. I initially paid $5 via ****** for a single vehicle history report, only to find out almost a year later that they had been charging me $22.99 every month without my knowledge!At no point was I clearly informed that I was signing up for a recurring subscription. I never received any reminder emails or notifications about these charges, just silent withdrawals from my ****** account. When I finally realized it, I had already lost hundreds of dollars for a service I never used!This company relies on tricking users with hidden subscriptions and hoping you wont notice. If youve used Bumper even once, check your ****** or bank statements immediately! And if youre considering using themDONT. There are plenty of other honest vehicle history report services that wont scam you.Ive reached out to customer support for a refund, but based on other complaints, I dont have high hopes. Ill also be reporting this to consumer protection agencies. Avoid Bumper LLC at all costs!

      on 1/17/2025 I opened an account with ********************** llc for the advertised price of $5.00 to look up a vehicle. I looked up the vehicle and the history information was wrong and / or missing. The report was worthless. Then on January 27 I was billed ***** which I had no idea i was obligated to. I immediately searched and completed their cancellation process on their website. So the service was deficient and fraudulent and they hid the fact that they were going to bill me $*****. No where on my sigh-up did I see anything about an ongoing fee of $*****

      On 1/7/25, I woke up to a transaction auto payment of ***** taken from my account; I had forgot to cancel the trial period.       I Contacted Bumper in the Spring approximately , for Information for a 1939 **** 1/2 Ton Pick up, gave them the Serial Number in hopes they had History up until 1982, when it came to *******. They said yes & I Paid them by Credit Card, they said it was Declined. HUM I SAID Scammers?. Looking at Reviews (not the Greatest) I debated for some time, but November 21st 2024 I thought I would like to find out, so I Reactivated my Membership & sent them $31.99 by Credit card for a ONE TIME report. ********************************** got back & said i cannot Request this again. I NEVER GOT ANYTHING THE FIRST TIME. So: ALL I WANT IS MY TRUCK VEHICLE HISTORY AS I PAID FOR IT IN FULL. (Credit Card Debited) Send it to my Email address.

      Your ability to locate a specific vehicle in our database can be dependent on a number of factors, such as the amount of information collected on that vehicle by government agencies, insurance records and industry sources. 
      Additionally, our data includes vehicles after 1981 when the standard 17-digit VIN was created. Automobiles, motorcycles, trucks and buses may contain vehicle history records. 
      Unfortunately, we don't have history reports for RVs, motorhomes and tractors.

      Sadly nothing has changed since my last email.

      ****** ******* November 24th 2024, Request# ******** sent me an email that Stated Refund of $31.99  US.  They initially charged my Credit Card  $31.99  (PLUS $1.13?? that I only noticed recently) 
      I checked for my Refund Again Today, still not there. 
      It has been 10 Business Days since the Refund was sent, it should be Refunded to my C/C by now, in my opinion. 

      I would like you to follow up for me, as I STILL have a bad feeling about this Company, why didn't they send me the ""Report"", they promised in the first place.  I don't think they have one.

      The Bank just informed me, non Traceable. I have been checking by phone to see if my Money was Returned, since December 11th 2024. "NO AGAIN" as of this morning.
       
      If This Company doesn't do the right thing, they're going to wish Social media wasn't out there.  As I said before, they're Lucky there not in my Country, as I would Personally make a Visit. 
       
      It's up to them now to make this right.
