*** Crunch fitness keeps charging me different amounts for a gym membership I already stopped on February 19, 2024. The new name on my bank statement is Crunch fitness (without the ***) which still allows them to take my money

In February of 2024, I decided to get a gym membership at Crunch fitness in ********, **. I was also looking to talk to a personal trainer to see how much the sessions would cost. First, my PT told me that it would be $110.00/month for 1 session, 1 every other week, and each session would be $55. I agreed to that, then found out that they were charging me for $110.00/month TWICE (equalling $220.00) for 2 sessions, every other week. I was confused but, I let it go. I got very busy so I only saw my trainer 3 or 4 times before I got a huge job opportunity. I told my trainer that I was moving to ******* in late April and that there's no Crunch Fitness here, and there isn't. They then suddenly stopped reaching out to me about sessions and I never heard anything from them again. I cancelled my membership on April 28th, where they explained that I had to pay an extra 30 days and my membership would be cancelled May 28th. I asked for a refund at the time for my unused PT sessions, and they told me to write it down on the cancellation paper. They then went on to say that my PT no longer worked there. (why didn't they say anything or replace my trainer?) They asked if I wanted a different trainer and I said no. Fast forward to this evening, I get 10 emails saying I have been scheduled for an event with my trainer. I emailed an employee and he said he would help me get the refund but they haven't done anything and I feel like I have been tricked. He also said that my trainer did not quit. I emailed the employee several times, asking about a status on the refund or any information and they never responded. Please help. I have my bank statements available but I am not comfortable posting them here. Please let me know if there's a secure way to send my bank statements. I have screenshots of the e-mails I sent, and the e-mails I received.

Crunch Fitness continued to attempt charges after cancellation. A stop pay notice was placed with my bank to limit further charges. I have now been sent to collections. I cancelled in person months ago, today the collections company stated that it had to be in writing. I called the local Crunch Fitness, the individual confirmed that my account was placed to "inactive" and appeared to not be cancelled. The general manager is apparently on vacation and would be the only one that can provide insight. I am asking that my account be fully cancelled and this removed before my credit is impacted.

Crunch fitness of Worcester Massachusetts overcharged my account by $800 causing an overdraft resulting in me losing a portion of a deposit for a new apartment. During the dispute and several conversations, crunch has promised to cancel recurring monthly charges which they have not cancelled. I have lost a total of $600(as a "credit") to day and now crunch still charging a monthly fee. The manager of the branch states he is trying to reverse and apply the credits but nothing has been done. At this point, crunch is causing financial hardship and has also impacted my housing as I had lost my previous apt planning for the new.

This business has tried to charge me on 3 different occasions unlawfully and unauthorized. Today was$600 l do not receive any services from Crunch presently. My training sessions were paid in full and ended months ago. I have a Silver Sneakers plan provided free by my insurance. I am 73 and live from my SS this whole business has caused me to be very upset and trying to resolve was more than frustrating. I have been on the phone all morning, talked to 4 different people, dialed 6 numbers to no avail. The Club in *********************** in *************** has a non functioning phone. This charge on my account has brought my numbers to a very low amount and will create issues with my programmed payments. When l went on line l found out that many others had the same thing happen to them from this club.

I had cancelled personal training in writing,as indicated by the business on 04/05/2024. It was done at the gym directly. A full week later (incl. 5 business days) on 04/12/2024, another $360 personal training session was deducted from my bank account. I noticed this transaction and contacted Crunch immediately via their local website. I received confirmation that my message was received and was texted by the personal training director, who indicated he would call me the next day. When I didn't hear anything, I followed up 2 days later via text. I had to follow up again the next day and received a response that my training was confirmed as cancelled and that my refund request had been submitted (04/192024).I followed up on 04/26 since no refund had been deposited yet and was advised it would be followed up on, and it can take 5-10 business days.On May 8 I followed up again, as no refund had been received. I was advised the training director would check on it, and also had a meeting the next day regarding what was going on with the refund delays. The director indicated he also had the same issue with a couple of others' accounts. With no response by 05/13 I followed up again and again on 05/16. I finally got a response saying he had resubmitted the refund request on 05/09.The last communication I sent was directly to the ** via email on 05/28, indicating the frustration with the delay and how follow up has been on my part only. Additionally, the delay has caused financial worry for me and caused me to have to shuffle funds around personally. As of today's date, 06/04, I have received no response to that email, nor has my refund been deposited. I am at a loss on what to do next to get my money back. The delay and run around is simply unacceptable.

I advise ANYONE to NEVER join this gym. I signed up in April 2024. I cancelled a week later and was still charged 35, then 53 and then another 35 again. After you cancel with them, they will continue to charge you for 90 days even though your account is cancelled. Im never joining this **** pool ever again in life.
