Please dont get scammed. I bought pet insurance for my puppy in February. She developed a rash in April so took her to the vet and filed a claim. They denied the claim stating it was a pre-existing condition. I basically told them to stick it. I wouldnt allow my dog to be sick for months before taking her to the vet. Needless to say, I canceled the coverage. Not worth your headache.

This was the worst insurance experience I have ever had. They would not cover anything from a $450 vet visit claiming her first puppy visit showed she could be predisposed to IBD. She was not diagnosed with it ever, none of the paperwork says she has it. They claim she has a preexisting condition even though the vet documents never diagnosed her with it. I would never recommend this company to anyone. They are taking your money and ensuring they dont have to reimburse you for sick visits for your pet.

I paid for a year in advance for a renters insurance policy. Because I refused to give them a credit card to be on file, they cancelled my policy. Even though I was only a few months into my policy. I still have not received my refund. Do not use this company.

We took our dog for her regular examine and I mentioned to the vet that when we adopted her she had a very tiny bump on her neck the vet at adoption time(the same vet we still use) said it was nothing don't worry and it was never put in her records. So two years later I notice a small mass on her neck and mentioned it; the doctor took a sample and said it had to be removed. I contacted lemonade and asked if it would be cover( I had look in to a pet insurance that would cover the procedure) they email us that it probably would be cover. It cost us ******* they denied the claim because I mentioned my concern to the vet that qualified it has a pre existing condition; I asked them to show me in the records where this is mentioned it does not show anywhere I also asked them to email me proof the only respond I recieved was that someone would call me in a day or two to explain it to me. So not only are they cold hearted they are assuming I am stupid. Nice company

I thought they were great for a while because their website is nice and the premium was cheap. I had renter's insurance with them, and I moved last summer (to a bigger city) and I found out that they changed my deductible from $250 to about $2500, with only a $12 premium, without clearly telling me that they were changing it. I tried to change it on the website but I was unable to change it. I emailed them and they said they couldn't change it. I feel that they were deceitful about this, and as a customer, I would rather pay $35 per month for a $250 deductible than $12 per month for a $2500 deductible. I switched to GEICO where I am basically doing that.

They do not answer your calls or call you back, or respond to email when you file a claim. Scam!

Honest Lemonade Pet Insurance Review I want to start off by saying ******* was AMAZING and so SWEET she handled my claim and did everything she could to try and help me. However, I would think twice before getting pet insurance or specifically upgrading to the *************** Package with Lemonade.I LOVED Lemonade as a company! I have my home owners insurance through them and HAD my pet insurance through them. I loved how easy the app was! Before insurance started my dog ****** had his physical exam and lemonade got all his records and everything seemed fine and was going smoothly. The preventive care package includes shots, heart worm medications, one yearly dental cleaning, and blood work. So of course when I saw the dental cleaning coverage I was sold!! That is the most expensive part about preventive care so of course I would do it. Well, I scheduled his dental consultation and sent in the receipt and it took 2 full months for them to look over the dental cleaning claim. I thought that was a long time just for a dental cleaning. Well while the dental cleaning was being preformed the vet called me and said he had one infected tooth and it would be $65 to remove it and they would just pull it out during his routine dental cleaning so he wouldn't have to have anesthesia twice. I agreed to that. Lemonade Contacted me saying they will not be able to cover the visit because he had Periodontal Disease. So I said okay well I dont mind paying full for the tooth being pulled but you are still going to cover the dental cleaning? They said they are going to DENY the dental cleaning and I will have to pay in full. ($400) But when I asked even if he didnt have periodontal disease he would still need a dental cleaning once a year right? Because that is what the vet recommends for all dogs? They said I understand what you are saying. So what I got from that is that a teeth cleaning should be routine once a year EVEN if the dog doesnt have periodontal disease.
