Date of purchase: April 17, 2025 ****** of purchase: $190.54 I recently purchased and received two pairs of Mott and Bow jeans. The jeans do not fit so I started a refund. But instead of receiving a refund I received a Mott and Bow gift card for $185. I thought to myself, "ok, I'll go buy some other items". I looked at the other clothing options and discovered that the selection is VERY LIMITED and OVERPRICED. One sweater is over $170, basic t-shirts are $103 for a 3-pack, and the cheapest jacket is $248. With the extremely limited and overpriced selection, there really isn't anything I want to purchase. Mott and Bow claims to offer products at a "fair price... that don't cost an arm and a leg", I find that claim misleading. Your jeans may be reasonably priced but everything else is overpriced, and since you don't offer a cash refund, you're basically holding customers and their money hostage by forcing them to buy overpriced items from a limited selection. This feels like a ************* and a shady underhanded practice.I would like a full cash refund for the items that I purchased that do not fit as described.Customer Answer

The clothing items I ordered from Mott & Bow were not of good quality and did not fit me. So as with any other online clothing order, I went to my account on their website to return the order for a refund to my original method of payment. At the end of the process, I was only given the option of a store credit, a limitation I was never aware of during shopping and purchase. I never would have purchased clothes online, having only seen a photo, with no opportunity to try before deciding to keep. I certainly don't want to choose and still pay for other items on their site, now that I know the items I wanted are not the high quality they claimed. This company is misleading customers into making nonrefundable purchases. I wish to return the items to their company for a refund.Customer Answer

Better Business Bureau:
At this time, my complaint, ID ******** regarding **** & ********* has been resolved. They emailed saying that as a one time courtesy they'd accept a refund and refund me. But it requires you to fight the policy and contain on BBB to get resolution. They say the return policy is clearly visible, but no one knows about it until they try to return something, so it clearly isn't. Be aware. And the products aren't worth the conditions of sale.(By clicking "OK", your complaint will be closed as Resolved.)

My husband asked for jeans from Mott & Bow for Christmas. I ordered them without checking the return policy, mistake. They DO NOT offer refunds, ONLY store credit. I accepted this because I didn't check the return policy, my fault. The jeans did not fit well so after returning them, I tried to order a different style. I checked for several months but they were always sold out in the size he needed. I decided to order jeans for my son instead. I placed an order on 2/25/25. As of 3/22/25 I have no jeans and no refund/credit. A tracking number had been provided but the carrier was not indicated so when I googled the tracking number, nothing came up. I reached out to customer service on 3/14/25 and was told to contact my local post office, which I did. The gentleman at the post office told me that he had looked everywhere for my package and could not locate it. He said that Mott & Bow would need to file a claim to be reimbursed for the package. I have since relayed this information to Mott & Bow customer service 3 TIMES and keep being told to contact or reschedule my delivery with the post office. This is BEYOND FRUSTRATING. I have never had a company put the responsibility for finding a lost package on the customer. Ordered 2 pairs of Jeans in my regular size. March 13, 2025. received my order today MRCH 20, 2025. The jeans are duplicates in size and length. They do not fit my calves? odd. Based on the "free returns" policy *including the "Happy Returns policy similar to "Good American" uses...should have been easy for a full refund of my return. I chose the largest size / my waist size and they do not fir. They have never been worn and still have all tags on and intact. The only option if for a gift card with a $5-9 service charge. I would not have ordered online with a piece of clothing like jeans (that I cannot try on) with out the availability of a full return to my credit card. I cannot re order any jeans as this is the largest size. Please note this is not a standard practice and could use a honest note of the "refund policy" as there really isn't one! No refunds only useless gift card for company that I would not use again. As mentioned "Good American" clothing was a better made product and fit perfectly in the same style "hi waisted mom ****" and size. Mott & Bow point blank lies about their return and refund policies. I confirmed with them over email that they would refund back to my credit card if I did not like the products. Upon wanting to do the actual return, the same customer support agent (******) said they would not give me a refund to credit card. Biggest scam ever if there was one. Made a purchase on 2/24/2025 for 4 * Shirts totaling $145.08. *hey did not fit well, I returned all 4 of them, 3 in opened packaging and 1 neatly put back in its original packaging after trying it on for 60 seconds. I asked for a refund via a credit to my credit card used. *hey only give store credit. How can you not be refunded for clothes that cannot be tried on? I dislike the way the * Shirts fit and feel.*his should not be allowed on mail order items.
