I got a pre approval offer from Reach Financial for a loan in the amount of $30,000. I submitted an application, and provided all necessary documents and was given an offer for a loan + cash. I accepted the offer, took the hard inquiries on my credit report, and was then denied the offer stating that I did not make the income needed. I am self employed , and therefore do not have w-2 income. I provided my business income and the income I paid myself, equaling over the amount by 70%. I have proven history of no missed payments, several revolving accounts and several paid installment loans on my credit reports. I wouldnt recommend anyone to apply for a loan at this company. They will give you an offer after the prequalified offer that is after the application, and then do the hard pull to cause impact the consumers credit score. This is a scam if I see one.Business Response

I started with another company and they had me go to this company and take a loan between what I paid the other company and here it's around ***** way more than I even had in debt. I entered a debt consolidation program in ****************************** debt following the COVID-19 pandemic. I was than referred to transfer my debt to Reach Financial in April 2023 and was told that I would complete my program in four years (Approx. May 2027) I have paid all my payments on time with the expect of three months last year where i asked for a forbearance due to surgery that I had over the summer. This loan with Reach has been a steady financial burden for me - I don't understand how this is helping or saving consumers money. Nonetheless, I have reviewed my account, and now I am not expected to pay it off until MAY 2029; that is four additional years. My balance started at approximately *****, and I have only paid the balance down to approximately ***** in the two years that I have been paying on this loan. I need help, financially. I was contacted by my Debt consolidation company to accelerate my debt payback by getting a loan from Reaxh Financial. They would in turn pay back my debt faster, a couple month and I would save even more money. I was told by representative my payments monthly would not change. My debt to credit card debtors was paid off. Now here comes Reach financial. When I started getting the automatic payments deducted monthly I noticed the payments were much higher than I was told and for longer. Around $75 a month higher. I noticed that the payments were for 6 years and at an internet rate just as high as the creditors. I feel I was like Iird to and scammed. I believe this is a predatory lender who takes advertising of people in vulnerable financial situations and should not be allowed to get away with this. I have saved 0 money and am going to be paying over double what my original debt was. Not acceptable and not going to happen . Stop these evil crooksBusiness Response

I was transferred over to Reach by Gitmeid law. Reach assured me I would be able to graduate from the program faster and pay off less money with no interest rate than I would if I stayed with Gitmeid law. I was lied to on the phone, I was told several times that there would be no interest rate and that I would pay them back around 11K. I was also told that I could fill out an application to see the numbers before I said yes because I wasn't sure if this was actually going to benefit me. Someone was supposed to call me and let me know the numbers before Reach paid Gitmeid law. NO ONE CALLED or EMAILED me and the loan was paid off. I was told I could say no and not go through with this if I did not want to but now I'm stuck. They also said they paid off 14k to Gitmeid when I only owed Gitmeid 13k. Then Reach added on 20% interest which totaled my payment at 25k. That is 6k more that what I started with when going to Gitmeid to help with my loan consolidation. I had also told Reach, if I went forward with them that I would pay by check or over phone but somehow they have my bank info and are telling me they will take from that when I have NEVER given them authorization. I asked to get the % to 0 like I was told over the phone and they refuse to take it down to 0%. This company is a **** and them and Gitmeid law are in it together to cause fraud . Everything they stated to me is on a recorded line and every time I ask if I was told 0% they reply "there was a miscommunication" . They will not give me access to my phone calls. This company is doing some shady stuff to too many people, it needs to end.Business Response

As many have stated before, I was enrolled in the program with ********************. I asked about how I could improve my credit score because my score was in shambles after missing CC payments at the advice of ***. They told me it was my lucky day and that I qualified for a loan to settle what I owed ***. However, that was back in September of 24 and Ive been making all the payments. And when I found out I would owe almost 2x the original amount, after the *****% interest rate, I brought this to the Representatives attention. She said Oh, Sweetie I didnt mean for you to feel like this was a bait and switch. Which it obviously was because Id already agreed to the loan in hopes it would help my credit score. Unfortunately it hasnt helped my score at all and I owe more money to Reach Financial than I did if I would have just kept making my scheduled payments to National Debt Relief. This is pretty low considering people in that program are trying to get their lives back on track for a multitude of reasons. And I believe that Reach Financial is swooping in to take advantage of people at their lowest who are simply trying to do the right thing for their future.Business Response

I was in a car accident. I was rear ended at high speed and have suffered a serious back and neck injury as a result. I asked for forbearance after the accident and was granted a month. I asked for another month as I havent been able to get back to work. I just got my car back a few days ago and its actually not fully repaired properly and is going to have to be taken back to caliber collision. Ive provided proof of the car accident and medical records to ********************, including the recently ordered MRI. To continue the forbearance for another month theyre asking for access to my financial records and such. If I have to have someone deep dive into my finances after theyve received proof of everything else I may as well just file bankruptcy. It was a mistake signing up with ******************** and taking the loan from Reach Financial, as its going to cost me far more in the end than the credit card debt would have and bankruptcy would be cheaper. All Im asking for is one more month. If they work with me Ill be able to pay them. If theyre not willing to work with me then Ill have to file bankruptcy.Business Response

Reach financial is charging me interest only and the main amount is not going down. I applied to reach financial through a debt consolidation company which told me that I would graduate faster from the program with reach financial. And nowI owe way more than the original amount. As a matter of fact the amount is now more and I already started my payments. This was a scam. They explained to me that the payments will stay the same.Customer Answer

they called me to tell me that they cant do anything for me, will not refund anything and as far as the fact that they called me to get me a loan with higher interest in reach financial, they said that they didnt force me.
I will be seeking to escalate this, as I feel I have been scammed. This is unfair as I turned to this company to consolidate debt, not to get more in debt. And now I am in way more debt. I feel something needs to be done about it as Im the the only person that feels this way, they have done it to multiple people.

I had credit card debt. I went to National Debt Relief 3 years ago. As of March 2024, I got a pay off and paid the rest of the balance off with my retirement money. Before this Reach Financial contacted me about a great opportunity for a loan for a back up if I didn't have funds for my loan. This was before the payoff wit Gitmed Law. I agreed as a backup and if the loan account needed to be used I would get a phone call and an email stating what needed to be used. I got a statement from Gitmed Law showing all the transactions. It showed where I put in 25K to pay it off per their information that that was the pay off. This transaction was in March of 2024. On March 18, 2024, I called Gitmed and Reach to cancel the loan because it was no longer needed. I asked for a payoff statement and closure of the loan. Never received anything via phone, email, or mail. I never heard anything till I noticed that ****** was missing from my account on August *********. I called Reach Financial. They said I owed almost 9k. I was never notifed by phone, email or mail about this. I said I wanted my money back. They wouldn't give it back. I shut off the account so they can't take money out till this is resolved. I have asked for statements through mail many times since the money was removed from my account with out my authorization on 8-11-2024. Nothing. I called September 3rd 2024 that I needed the statement again. Nothing. I called today b9-9-2024, said I would have to pay the interest on the missed payment. I never authorized the first payment. They just took it out. I am very upset. I was trying to do the right thing and be debt free. Sounds like double dipping but I have no access the the statements from Reach Financial. Nothing showed from them on the Gitmed Law statement that anything came from them. Please help me. I am being scammed. Call ************Business Response
