    Got my first and only package from them today. It's missing 3 avocados, red grapes and some "free" bacon cheese burgers. This after them taking $115 out of my bank account 2 days prior. And I had cancelled because of this happening. This box was already in the works before I cancelled. I requested a refund of the $115 and now requesting the missing items I already paid for. It took several attempts for the account to be cancelled. They tried to just skip a week. I kept saying just cancel. Hope I get my money back and that they send me the missing items.

    Horrible customer service. I canceled my account but was charged for a shipment that I'm no longer able to view or track. When I contacted customer service they weren't able to locate my account using any usual info, telling me I must not have completed sign up despite having had to go through a full subscription cancelation and providing them the cancelation email. They were unhelpful and provided multiple explanations that made no sense for the order i wanted refunded (which had not shipped yet). I was told I could no longer view the order but shoild trust them that it will ship.Terrible from start to finish.

    Decided to cancel my subscription after skipping deliveries for months. 2 mo later I get a charge to my credit card for a delivery. I canceled again and contacted them. It is impossible to talk to a person. It is text only. Stay away from this food delivery service!!

    We're so sorry for the unexpected order and frustration. We don't have the capacity for phone support but we're available via text or email during business hours, 7 days a week. We confirmed that the subscription wasn't cancelled prior to cut-off. Depending on the chosen delivery day, orders are finalized at 7 pm ET (4 pm PT) the Monday or Thursday before the upcoming delivery, and orders that have finalized at the time of cancellation will still ship and process as usual.     Very disappointed with HungryRoot with the revocation of referral code and rewards. My wife and I have been ordering HungryRoot subscription groceries for a few months now and based on her apps, most of the products are free of artificial ingredients, preservatives, etc. as we scan everything via an app called Yuka. We were so thrilled with the high quality foods, my wife provided information on Hungry Root and her referral code to her Non-Toxic Mommies closed ******** page, so they could try the subscription too, and we would get referral credits. Unfortunately, this past weekend HungryRoot sent my wife a scathing email about "referral fraud," suspended her referral code, and removed all the referral credits we received from sharing the information to the mommies page on ******** focused on clean living and removing toxins from our children's diets. We believe we should have been notified by the company, and given an opportunity to explain the referrals before all credits were removed from the account. This was poor customer service and we will be looking for an alternative meal delivery service and sharing our experience with thousands of other parents focused on clean eating.

    I am a current customer and have been for a couple of years now. And while I like the convenient vegan food being sent to me, their customer service is pretty bad. There have been problems with delivery, particularly most recently I was waiting for a shipment that never arrived. When calling the delivery service they continually lied to me that it was on the way. It never came. The order ended up being damaged during transit and never even arrived at the facility! Meanwhile I had been waiting around for it because I was told it was "on its way" repeatedly. All HR did was refund me for the that meal but didn't bother giving me any credits for the inconvenience of it all and the lying by the delivery company. I've also had veggies that have expired and sometimes there are missing items. I admit I get pretty angry in my messaging because these mistakes are easily corrected if people just communicated with each other. The only contact you have is an email address with often a delayed, or in my most recent case, no response (to my reply). I'm disappointed in them. I'll continue for now until I find a better alternative.

    I am sick and tired of this company sending me unsolicited text messages, no matter how mnay times I opt out or block them. They are very spammy and couldn't care less about the customer experience.

    SCAM!!!! SHAME ON YOU HUNGRYROOT - I got ripped off $156.00 in groceries that I never ordered. Apparently when you have had a prior account and decide to browse on their website it automatically thinks it has the right to reopen your subscription, send you groceries, and withdraw money from your account. Their great response was sorry if you had an account with us our site automatically subscribes and we can't recall the order if it's been shipped. Hmmm, I don't know about you, but this sounds like fraud to me!!!!! Ugh I'm so upset and disgusted that a business would do this.I wrote the company and I'm hoping they will do the right, honest thing and refund my money. Unfortunately, though it looks like they are in the sad, disgusting practice of ripping folks off either by this practice or by not delivering groceries to customers at all from what I read on this website, other websites, and ******** MY HUNGRYROOT CUSTOMER SERVICE RESPONSE: Looks like this is typical from other complaints same answer I was given.We're so sorry for the frustration! According to the account records, the account was reactivated. When reactivation takes place, the subscription is restarted.

The act of logging back into a cancelled account alone won't reactivate a subscription, but selecting "Reactivate" or "Resume Deliveries" will and we show text confirming that the subscription is active again. We apologize if this information was missed, but we don't automatically reactivate subscriptions. As we understand that this wasn't the intention, a full refund was given as a courtesy. Again, we're sorry for the trouble, and thank you for your consideration.

    Not good at what their automated system allows etc. they couldnt help when I needed them too. I cant do anything; our system wont allow it there is no one you can call or talk toVery poor customer service experience.

    I wanted to try this meal delivery service. In order to see a list of the meals I wanted, I had to give my credit card info.I looked at the meal choices and didn't want any of them.I tried to close my account, but was unable to cancel on the site.I started a chat session at 9:37am, but they sent me unrelated answers about problems with my delivery (there was no order and no delivery), how to confirm my cancellation (but I asked you how to cancel), how to make a donation (they want me to donate???). Some of the responses were sent reatedly.The chat took over 35 minutes and we are no closer to solving my problem.I am worried about ********* having my payment info and ignoring my request to close the account.Requiring payment info before describing the products they plan to send seems suspicicious, and I'm worried that they are keeping this info when I have asked them to delete it repeatedly

    Like several other complaints, this company will not cancel your subscription using its app. I have cancelled three times, but I still get email detailing my weeks order. They have know that the app doesnt work. Either this company is a scam or run by poor management. I was charged another $152 for this week groceries that I dont want. So until I get a refund, im going on every website I can find and complain about these crooks.

While we can confirm that the upcoming orders were cancelled (skipped) multiple times, it doesn't appear that all the steps were taken to cancel the subscription under the email on file successfully. We issued a refund for the last order as a courtesy. It will process in 5-10 business days, if not sooner, and thanks for giving Hungryroot a try!
