    I made an appointment with a psychiatrist through Talkiatry to be evaluated for a mental health condition, which would require multiple visits. ******************************************************************************* a second time due to Talkiatrys policy of not seeing patients who have EVER had a history of an eating disorder, even if it is not current and if it is not relevant to the issue you are seeking help for. This policy is discriminatory towards women, and should be shared with the patient before the visit. Talking took me on as a patient even though there was an already existing stipulation that meant they could NOT provide the services I was seeking. They then charged my insurance over 500 dollars for a completely useless appointment, leaving me with a hill of $80. Talkiatry wasted my time and my money with their discriminatory policy they should have communicated PRIOR to the making of the appointment.

    Received care on June 13, 2023 with ***************************************. Was promised multiple times this provider was in-network with my insurance company Cigna, but after my insurance company processed the claim, they found that Talkiatry gave the incorrect provider information that resulted in the claim being processed as out of network. I have been promised multiple times this issue would be resolved within 1 to 2 months, but am still waiting after having my issue "escalated" twice. I would like Talkiatry to fix this issue with my insurance.

    I got completely scammed out of $400. Absolutely no service was provided. I thought I was making a big step towards bettering my life and health by trying to reach out and get therapy or something but this just made my life worse. I set up an appointment (February 2023) to get an initial consultation with a psychiatrist under the impression that it would decide which form of therapy I would receive or what methods would be used or something along those lines. I meet up virtually, and essentially get a "Wow, you're messed up, good luck with that, bye." response. And that's it. Nothing productive comes out of it. Anyway I get slapped with a $400 out of pocket bill, I think that can't be right because I literally did not get any modicum of service so I call the billing center and ask what the deal is and I'm told a hold will be put on bill and they'll figure things out with my health insurance. So that was a complete lie, because I find out a couple days later that my credit score has dropped and I start getting threats about sending a collections agent. So I pay the $400 out of pocket. And that's it. Great job Talkiatry. I came to you for help in a vulnerable and desperate state, and you lie and threaten me and take my money. You people are thugs. I know you goons won't see this because you obviously don't care about your customers, but you are living garbage. You are closer to a group of organized criminals than you are to a company. TLDR: ************ is a bunch of scammers, don't trust them, they'll just strongarm you out of your money when you're at your lowest.

    I sought service through Talkiatry towards the end of 2022. I was informed that my insurance was in network. Months after my initial appointment I was sent a bill for over $300 (******) and was never informed by any providers in Talkiatry that my insurance plan at the time was out of Network. I always stay in network when seeking providers because I cannot afford out of pocket expenses. As soon as I saw the bill, I contacted Talkiatry and was told it was an error and that it would be adjutsed. A month passed by and the issue was not resolved, I was told to wait because it takes a few weeks for insurance companies to process payments. I have had several conversations with agents from Talkiatry who told me the issue would be resolved. Not only was I misled, I'm getting the run around and have reach no resolution. Talkiatry was negligent to inform me that my plan at the time was out of network. I should have been made aware so I could make an informed decision and they are doing a poor job resolving this issue.

    2023 -April 11 - I had my first appointment (telehealth) with *****************************. It seemed to be legitimate and I had high hopes. But I wanted actual talk therapy, which was noted in my intake form, questionnaire, and file. May 24 - My doctor forgot everything about me already. No notes seemingly. Just started pushing meds, which I said that I did not want at the time. I would consider switching my ADHD med, maybe in the future. He stopped the appointment after about 20 minutes and I got billed for a full session, which should be an hour. June 8 - My doctor forgot everything again. Immediately started trying to push an SSRI on me. I told him I had a lot of issues with SSRIs in the past. He told me to look into Vyvanse, as an alternative for Adderall, which I was already on for ADHD. I said that I would look into it. He told me that he thought we had a longer session but had to go - again, about 20 minutes. I got billed for the full session again. June 26 - Knowing that I already had a prescription for Adderall pending in my pharmacy, he prescribed me Vyvanse without asking if I wanted it. He also prescribed me an SSRI, Effexor. He stopped the appointment after about 20 minutes. At this point, there has been NO talk therapy, aside from initial appointment. It has just been drug-pushing conversation. July 18 - I got back home on a redeye flight a few hours before our appointment, which he knew. I was exhausted and had not slept in over ********************************************* of trying to double-dip on prescriptions and also, for scamming the system. I was very confused and then he told me about how I was prescribed Adderall from a different prescriber and also, ******* from him. Confused, I told him that he already knew this, we had this discussion many times in the past and he seemed to backtrack. He ended our session after TEN MINUTES. Still got billed for the whole session. = $150 for this with absolutely nothing to show for it and no resolution.

    Back in February I started using Talkiatry as a way to find a psychiatrist. When I first downloaded the healow app it had me input my insurance information and then provided me with a few doctors that were presented to me, leading me to believe they were under my insurance. After several months and sessions had passed I received an email informing me that my insurance was not going to be accepted, and that I now owe over $1,200 dollars to Talkiatry. I've contacted them many times since then but they have done nothing to help me and won't pass my complaint along past the basic billing department employees. They are now about to send me to collections after charging me for a service without my knowledge for months on end. I'm unemployed and have frail mental health and using this service has only made things worse for me, I feel deceived and taken advantage of.

    I used talkiatry for 3 services at the end of 2022, beginning of 2023. The doctor was good, but the service from the company was not, nor was it worth the price I was paying. In March I cancelled. They did not respond for several weeks and then tried to charge me for missing an appointment. I had to argue to get that charge removed, I paid the remaining balance and walked away. Fast forward five months and I randomly start getting bills from them again. I try to dispute, saying I paid my balance and left the program. They will not budge, and are insisting that it is for a service I received in January. I did not keep my proof that I paid my balance to zero, and the company keeps trying to charge me for services I have already paid for.

    Talkiatry charged me for a consultation on June 1, 2023 that was not a serious medical exam. I originally booked a consultation in ********, then switched to ******** since I intended to stay there. Talkiatry called the day before to confirm the switch. Nevertheless, when the consultation began, it was clear the doctor wasn't serious about evaluating my medications and planning a course of action. He was cold and rude from the beginning and branded me as a drug seeker in session. The company and the doctor made assumptions about my mental state based solely on my physical location and didn't treat the appointment seriously from the start. In the end, the doctor refused services and prescriptions. Talkiatry is now charging me a $30 copay for services that did not take place.

    Talkiatry is claiming that the issue is that Im dissatisfied with a referral out after a consultation and that I have to pay for it.  That was not my complaint. My complaint is that the session was never a consultation in the first place. The doctor was unprofessional and abusive from the moment the session started. He began with the assumption that I was a drug seeker. He made derogatory remarks and behaved inappropriately. He assumed at the behest of the company that my rebooking from one state to another was an indication of addiction from the moment I walked in the door. That is not the basis for any medical conclusion. This is not how a medical exam is conducted.

    July 10, 2023 - I made an appointment with a *** ****************************** Talkiatry keeps sending me texts, real mail, emails about how I owe them $100 for a no show. The doctor was on the camera and said she couldn't hear me. She said I will let them know. She said it was because I was on my phone and I didn't have headphones. I was on the camera for about 2 minutes with her and she kept saying I am trying to help you and her attitude was condescending. I have done other teleconferences with my primary care doctor on my cell phone with no problem. Go and reschedule. I called immediately to reschedule and they couldn't get me in before my primary care doctor could so I said no to the new appointment. I have been receiving texts, emails, and now real mail in my mailbox saying I owe them $100 as a no show. I called them and the customer service rep said it would take 4 to 6 weeks for them to approve the cancellation of the debt I owe. Very unprofessional and I would never do business with them again.

    Talkiatry provided zero services and still billed me $100 (though they stated if they HAD they provided a session it would have been covered by my insurance). They are constantly harassing me with calls, text and emails to pay them $100. The only customer service is a call center in *********** where they speak no English and hang up on me.     My complaint has not been resolved. Talkiatry is still sending me requests for payment for services I never had.
