      Dear BBB,I am writing to file a formal complaint against LexisNexis for violating the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) by failing to provide my consumer report on two separate occasions. The relevant details are as follows:On July 12, 2024, I requested my consumer report from LexisNexis but did not receive it as required by law.Again, on August 6, 2024, I made a second request, and once more, LexisNexis failed to deliver the report promptly.LexisNexis claims they sent the report the day after my requests, but I received only a PIN to freeze or unfreeze my reportno actual report.I spoke with ******* and later with a supervisor named *******, but the issue remains unresolved.Given these repeated failures, I have decided to seek legal assistance to address this matter. I believe LexisNexiss actions are in violation of my rights under the FCRA.I kindly request that BBB investigate this complaint and take appropriate action. LexisNexis should be held accountable for their failure to comply with federal regulations.Thank you for your attention to this matter. I look forward to a prompt resolution.

      Twice in the month of August 2024, ******************** provided me with Documents to sign electronically. They used LexisNexis to authenticate me. None of the question LexisNexis used had anything to do with me. I phoned there *************** and was directed by them to fill out a form in which I had to provide them with Full name Current Address Current phone number Full Social Security number Date of Birth They were to mail me the information about where they had received the wrong file.Instead today I received a letter telling me Unfortunately, we are unable to authenticate your identity and therefore cannot process your request.It directed me to fill out the same online forms again!Not helpful, I am quite concerned about what the file they says.

      LexisNexis inaccurately reported that I had a speeding ticket to my insurance company, despite the fact that I have never received one. My DMV record clearly confirms that I have no such tickets. This misinformation is highly concerning.

      LexisNexis is incorrectly reporting an accident as "at fault". The incorrect reporting was brought to my attention in March while shopping for car insurance. I contacted ***** insurance who confirmed they reported it to LexisNexis correctly as "not at fault". Per Geico, the incorrect reporting is the fault of LexisNexis. Geico sent me a letter confirming I was NOT at fault; However, the insurance companies will not accept this. They use only the information provided by Lexis Nexis. I've attempted to contact LexisNexis by phone numerous times. You cannot get anyone on the phone. They require everything be done online and through email. I've emailed them about their incorrect reporting three times! My emails included a letter from ***** and a copy of the police report all showing I was found "NOT at fault". Since emails and electronic correspondence seemed to be ignored, I mailed LexisNexis a hard copy of this information. They have not acknowledged or responded to any form of communication and have failed to correct their reporting. To date their incorrect reporting has cost me an additional $679 in insurance premiums.

      My dispute: Incorrect information on my Lexis Nexis report. Disputed incorrect information two years ago and it was removed by Lexis Nexis. Ran a report in July 2024 and the disputed information is back. Also, now I have two birthdates. Original report said my license was revoked never happened. Correct report says i have a license in another state, I don't. Never have. How would someone have two birthdates and that was not on my report before? Where does this information come from? Wouldn't a computer program tag that as incorrect? Since people are relying on correct information to be submitted to insurance companies for the best rate, this is serious and unacceptable.

      In February 2023, we cancelled a subscription renewal with LexisNexis. In March 2023, we received confirmation of this cancellation from LexisNexis. Despite several email exchanges and phone calls with LexisNexis, as well as evidence and proof of cancellation, LexisNexis has continued to charge my account on a monthly basis for an update delivered well after the effective date of cancellation. These charges have been ongoing for the past 17 months, and in addition allowed to accumulate late fees. As we have received no aid, help, or resolution to this matter, I am requesting the following actions to be taken at this time: Account Adjustment- No further charges are applied to my account, a credit is applied to eliminate all outstanding charges, and my account is properly closed.Confirmation of Resolution- Written confirmation/communication that this issue has been resolved, and my account has been fully satisfied and closed without any further obligations.

      Requesting rectification for a FALSE REPORT which has IMPACTED my securing insurance and INCREASING OF RATES WRONGFULLY A FALSE CLAIM REPORTED on 12/25/2019 to insurance company. I have a disabled son and could not follow up sooner until I looked to get a new policy and that increased the insurance quote. This was a NO FAULT accident that the involved motorist's paid yet LEXISNEXIS reported to my insurance company as comprehensive claim.

Is there something else I need to do to clean this up.

I contacted Lexis on 7/25, 7/29, 7/30 and 8/6 but cannot get anyone to respond to whether they received my documents I sent or what was wrong with the initial document upload. Meanwhile Im paying hundreds more in car insurance due to their errorenous data.

       I received the generic letter Saturday  

      I assumed that was the follow up to the specific letter addressed to me on Thursday , which stated that clarification on my status would be obtained by Friday

      One can see how, since the follow up to the Thursday letter never occurred, how one might think the generic letter was the follow up  letter

      LexisNexis Risk Solutions **** takes complaints from consumers extremely seriously and we have a robust process in place for resolving such matters, including a Legal review of all responses and handling by our Operations Escalated Response Team. 

      For Better Business Bureau (BBB) complaints, we continue to use a generic response for posting on the BBB website and a mail a more fulsome response to the consumer.? We have taken this approach to safeguard consumer-specific data; the BBB has confirmed that this is the better approach.
