      To the Better Business Bureau,I need your help resolving a price dispute I'm having with Stride Rite. This is the first time I've had a problem like this with their company. I ordered 5 pairs of shoes during the Black Friday sale on 11/24/2022. Stride Rite advertised on their main page that they were offering a "Flash Sale" with shoes priced at $*****. From the dropdown menu, I selected shoes that were part of the Flash Sale. Underneath the pictures of the shoes there was the original price scratched out and the sale price in bright red type "*****." The individual pages for the shoes also had the original price and right below it said, "Flash Sale! All Clearance styles $*****." When I looked at my cart, the original prices were there. I was confused. I tried calling their customer service line, but it was closed due to the holiday. I sent a message through their chat feature. I was notified that it was outside of their normal business hours. I decided to go forward with the purchase. I believed that Stride Rite would help me sort out the problem when they were back in the office.I sent emails on 12/7/2022 and 12/20/2022. I called on 1/25/2023 and 1/30/2023. The call at the end of ******* was the first time I was able to interact with a real person. He told me to email screenshots from the shoes I ordered because their computers didn't retain the information from that sale. I sent him what I had. This was their response, "Unfortunately, these items aren't on sale. I can provide you with 30% off on your full order. Please let me know if you want to receive it."We exchanged a few more emails. His response didn't change. I hadn't allowed my kids to wear the shoes yet. I offered to send the shoes back. He didn't respond again until 2/28/2023, almost a month later. By that point I had taken the absence of a response as his answer, so I let my kids wear the shoes. I paid. $252, but it should have been $74.75, which is a difference of $177.25.       I have filed an online claim for warranty for my shoes twice in the past 6 months.NO REPLY after the website states the warranty was processed to replace the shoes.They charge upwards of 100 dollars for shoes and have a warranty.... so follow up... send a replacement!

      For the past year and a half I have been trying to get Stride Rite to stop sending text messages to my cell phone. This may seem trivial, but I receive two to three txt messages a day. EVERY DAY. These are promotional and sales txt's. I and my husband have contacted Stride Rite no less than a dozen times. We have logged in to their website and requested that these cease. We have called their customer service reps and requested that they stop. We have been assured that they would cease. This is to no avail. I still receive them everyday! This is a very bad business practice. Most text and email promotions from other companies have a "opt out" button to stop receiving messages. Not Stride Rite. There is no opt out in any form or fashion. Again a bad business practice. We warn others in our community to never ask for Stride Rite text promotions. Help!Note: to our knowledge this is not an individual store but come from corporate marketing.

      On November 16th I purchased a gift from this company which I paid for in full. As of today, I still have not received the item I paid for, so I reached out to the company inquiring about the item on 11/23 and received a response on 11/25 including a package sitting on someones porch that is NOT my location. That same day I responded to the company notifying them that I had no front porch and did not recognize anything from the photo provided, but they never responded. I have now attempted to email the company every day since then for a week and they still ignore all correspondence attempts I make. At this point I am looking to make a formal complaint against the company for lack of customer service, and theft of funds. If the item I purchased was truly delivered to a wrong address, I should not be penalized.

      I got an ad on my ******** feed at around 7:30-7:45 AM this morning for a boot with a listed sale price of $52. When I clicked through the ad to go make the purchase, the price was then $77.99. I contacted Sperry via chat and the agent said there was nothing he could do and that the promos switched over when they opened (8 AM). I went back to my ******** feed and it was there still. I also looked on my wife's feed and it was there as well. This is a classic case of bait and switch - which could be completely unintentional on their part and just a case of their marketing people not knowing how to place/******** - but it still is happening.

      It is my first time purchasing from Stride Rite website. As I was not sure about the size of the shoes my daughter wears( she is toddler and it is very hard to measure the size), I asked online representative if the items I was going to purchase can be returned, due to the uncertainty of the size. The online representative told me yes and I went ahead bought 6 pair of shoes, $19.95/pair, in 3 different styles, each in 2 different sizes. When I received the shoes and went online to initiate a return label, the website says any items under $19.95 cannot be returned. The online representative did not inform me this, or I would not purchase 6 pairs of shoes! I called customer service and they told me to go to online website and see the return policy, refused it is their fault and even hung up on me! Now I am stuck with 6 pair of shoes due to the incorrect information I was give when I made the purchase. I feel I was lied to and it is a scam seller. I am very very disappointed and it is not how customer should be treated!

      Bought boots they were destroyed in shipping from the way they were packaged contacted the business they want to charge me to return the boots and take time from work plus my gas to drive them to fed ex or pay for ***** to do a pickup I have ********** in they way they were packaged and shouldn't have to be inconvenienced or spend and lose money to fix an issue they created

      I made an order on September 19 and still have not received the order despite my credit card being billed. I have now emailed customer service 3 separate times and have called twice with no solution or clear answer from them. The customer service reps are extremely disrespectful and rude. They refuse to address the fact that **** tracking says they are still awaiting the item and keep telling me itll come instead of offering a refund or another pair of shoes being sent out. Today is October 5th and I still have not received the product. I called to ask to talk to a supervisor this time and they told me they were in a meeting and would call me back, but they never took my phone number. It is impossible to get a hold of a competent human being to address my issue.

      I have reached out to Stride Rite a couple of times to complain about their email distribution and opt-out feature. It seems unethical to me that they have an "Unsubscribe" button to their emails, but it takes to to a subscribe page, without the option to unsubscribe or change subscription status. I actually am a fan of their products, but this crosses a line for me. There is also no feature, as with other retailers, to unsubscribe directly from a phone's operating system. Again, why can I do this with all other retailers but not them. They have been unresponsive to my customer service emails, so in the last one I asked that they unsubscribe me within a week's time or that I would be reporting them to BBB. It has been a week, so I am now acting in follow through.

      They did contact me and my particular email issue was responded. They did not mention my BBB complaint. They did not resolve the larger issue of the unethical Unsubscribe issue on their site, to my knowledge.
