When I originally signed up for glp-1 shots with Roman Health Ventures (Ro) I was attracted to them due to multiple advertisements on multiple platforms stating that they have a new monthly price of $45 a month. Turns out that is for the first month only and does not include the shots. Then I was charged almost $400 dollars for the second month. I cannot find where these prices are outlined and I definitely feel bamboozled. I would have never signed up in the first place if that had been clear. Also, they dont have a phone answering service or really any customer service options besides messaging the same portal where you message their nurse practitioners. The advertisement stated ***** for subscription and meds were extra. The price triples the next month for subscription and meds are separately charged. I canceled my subscription and was not refunded nor was I given the option to continue to receive medication for the month I paid for. This is all a scam and a very costly one.Business Response

Company misled in advertising, making it appear that they were providing drugs at that price, when in fact that was simply the price of the prescription. Then, they made it literally impossible to unsubscribe from the plan.Business Response

Ro has a predatory pricing practice. They dont clearly explain upfront what the costs entail. I was told $45 for first month pricing and then $145/month after that. It wasnt explained the cost didnt include the weight loss medication until I was at the stage where I was supposed to pick a medication. Then they said it would be another $249/month in addition to the $45/$145/month. If they had explained that upfront I wouldnt have signed up at all. They state they have a no refund policy which makes this seem even more predatory. I received nothing for the $45 they so willingly took as the additional $249 (which was not factored into my decision as it was not explained upfront) just isnt in the budget. This company should be ashamed! Probably why they have a no refund policy as a large amount of people who sign up with the pricing thats initially given is not the total picture and people end up canceling.Business Response

I joined Ro with the intention of using WeGovy for weight loss. Upon signing up, I was informed that my insurance did not cover the medication. I acknowledged this and explicitly stated that I still wanted the prescription regardless of coverage.From the start, communication was extremely slow, with responses taking three or more days per message. At one point, Ro informed me that I needed to fill out additional informationdespite the fact that I had already completed it. Nevertheless, I resubmitted the requested information. After that, I received no further response. I paid for one month of service without receiving anything in return. As my second month approached, I changed my insurance provider and informed Ro, again requesting the prescription I had yet to receive. They then told me they had a dedicated team reaching out to my insurance for approvala process they claimed would take two weeks because they are busy yet I pay monthly.I called my insurance provider directly, only to learn that Ro had never contacted them and that the standard approval process takes only 1-3 days. I decided to cancel my service and requested a refund, as I had received absolutely nothing for the money I paid.Initially, Ro responded by saying they had a non-refundable $45 fee for the time spent seeking insurance approval. While I was willing to accept this fee, they later informed me that they would not be issuing any refund at all.This service has been completely ineffective, frustrating, and unprofessional. Every response comes from a different person, always using a generic form response, making it impossible to make any real progress. The extreme delays and lack of transparency suggest that Ro is more interested in taking money than actually providing the services they advertise.I strongly advise against using Ro. This experience has felt like a scam, and I hope my complaint helps others avoid the same issues. Its a money grab.Business Response

On 2/6/25 I wentbto Ro website. The puwas GPL-1 treatment. All info on web page and even my receipt indicates 145/mo. 1st mo 100 off. It does say if they prescribe after review, they will charge 45$. I proceeded. Got my receipt for 45$. Clicked on link in another email saying I was approved to click and pick my medication. ******** offering was 299$/month. This company provides folds and misleading marketing information in my case I was quoted $45 to start a weight loss program and then $145 a month. It was only after I had paid that it was made clear that this was to join a club not to receive the medication. I saw an ad for Ro and it said the membership was $45 to sign up and would be $145 a month after. I paid the $45 then it said I would need an at home test so I paid another $50. After I get out of the first prompts it finally lets me into the actual site. Turns out its around $399 month. Ive tried to get ahold of customer service. There is no way to contact anyone. Ive tried to cancel my membership, but it seems almost impossible to cancel. This site is extremely misleading and seems very much like a bait and switch tactic.Customer Answer

I saw an advertisement on tv for this company and a weight loss medication. I went on the website and in order to move forward to find any information about the medication they advised to the public, I had to fill out person information and pay a membership fee. When I clicked on the one I wanted I had to pay another amount for this consultation. This was misleading making me think I was going to be sent the medication when I had my video visit. However, the next screen after I submitted my addition payment was steps that were required prior to even getting treatment. These steps were never mentioned prior to my two payments. And the steps were not anything I would be interested in even pursuing. If I had known about these, I never would have provided any personal information or provided payment to this service and company. I immediately contacted them, which is only available via online, no phone number. No reply from them. I have attached a screenshot of an email they sent: It says Im going to be charged $145 every month until I cancel. I have attempted to cancel several times. Will not work on the website and customer service will not respond. After many attempts, I now get an email confirming a shipment of a blood test kit being sent to my home. I emailed again with no reply. I do not want this sent to my home. After at least 5 additional emails to them asking for a refund and canceled membership, they send me an auto reply that is not relevant. I want my money back and my person data deleted from their servers and please have them be required to have better business practices. Thank you.Business Response

I signed up for the promo of $45 for membership and then I saw people were saying that the membership is $145 then the GLP-1 medication will be over $200-500. Ive been trying to cancel but I keep getting support emails saying that theyre going to proceed with my membership. This business is predatory and makes it difficult to cancel membership and delete account. I dont want them to charge my card every month with no service.Business Response
