Meineke charged me **** dollars to change my rear axle seal followed by rebuilding my rear differential. The man **** told me Im going to hear a noise that will go away which is false they also took off my door panel when I never asked them to broke my door panel and things inside my door panel after the noise was getting worse and sounded like grinding metal I took it to a reputable place in ** I use to look at it upon arrival my axle seal busted and looked at my rear with them we saw nothing was tight , torqued correctly , broken pieces and my fluid was completed saturated with metal shavings he fixed all this with no noise for about 950 . I spoke to the meineke owner who was rude and arrogant he said he will not pay for the repair because I didnt take it to a meineke then tells me my truck is old and I should expect things to break which to me is a poor excuse because if my truck is too old he shouldnt have done anything and taken my money but at the same time thats what he charged me the **** dollars for to rebuild everything and fix itCustomer response

On 2/26/2021, I went to Meineke-Rossville for an oil change on my fairly new 2019 ******* Santa Fe. Approximately a month later, while driving on the highway in **, I heard a sound coming from the undercarriage. When I got to my destination, I got on my knees to look underneath my vehicle and noticed the undercarriage cover was hanging and seemed to be missing bolts. I was able to stick it back up and thought it would stay in place. While driving home from ** to Staten Island, I heard the noise again and while on Rt 440, saw something fly out from under my vehicle; apparently what was left of the undercarriage cover (note: my vehicle had ***** miles - the oil change on 2/26/2021 was the first service done to the vehicle (other than annual inspections)). Upon calling Meineke, I was told by the Manager (**********), that the mechanics have a habit of just ripping the covers off because they are usually old and falling apart. I told him it was a new vehicle (I had been mostly using my other vehicle at the time) and the cover was not old and falling apart. He told me he would put in an order for a new one, at the business' cost. I waited awhile for a call back to tell me it was in but never received the call. A couple of months later, I called and was told ********** was no longer there. I spoke to the new manager and explained the situation (I do not recall his name - I had saved it in my phone but it did not save when I got a new phone). He told me he didn't have any notes left for him from ********** but that he would put in the order with ******* for the new cover and call me when it was in. I called several months inquiring, and was told the same thing - ******* is out of stock/my name and # are posted on the wall/he will call when it's in. I stopped by once or twice, spoke w/owner who told me to deal w/Mgr. I never got the call - when I last called, was told the owner received a full undercarriage cover but could not see giving me the whole thing and paying out of pocket.Initial Complaint

Brought my car for break pads and rotors. While the job was being preformed they broke my calipers. The vehicle was taken to another shop and proved they were the cause of problem. Would like a refund or compensation for the work that needed to be done for their negligence and poor work habits. I work very hard and do all my regular maintenance. When asked for assistance I was told good bye. Not taking responsibility for the damages they have caused.
