BAIT AND SWITCH OPERATION. They re-use pictures of brand new items for used, dirty items, then slap on the good condition description, which has become their get out of jail free card, because it allows them to decline refunds for the majority of items. If they want to use this massive umbrella of a policy behind good condition, then they cant re-use old pictures for those listings. I won an item that had pictures showing that it was new, still in the manufacturer packaging and protective plastic. When I opened the box, the item was just loosely thrown in the box, no packaging, used, and dirty. The manager of the location was snarky, told me to go read the policy and refused me a refund just because the item still turned on. They said they dont go off pictures, they go off description. So what are the pictures for then? Are they there just to mislead the bidders? Why even have pictures if the bidder shouldnt pay any attention to them? Well the ***** AND CONDITIONS state that its the bidders responsibility to inspect the photos before bidding so which is it? Pictures or description? Seems to me that its whichever is the most beneficial for the company at the time! This is baiting and switching, which is ILLEGAL. If they want to use the same brand new pictures for multiple listings, they need to make sure they are all brand new, or if they dont want to bother checking them all, they need to be listed AS IS. I dont care that it takes a little longer, god forbid they do their JOB that they are paid to do. Their customer service is no better, it think its just an automated response system because it doesnt address any issues you bring up. all they did is repeat their policy to me which is irrelevant to this issue, and say my item is ineligible for a refund since it has left the building, (I guarentee this will be their response to this review) even though I already said I TRIED to get a refund before leaving, and the manager refused. Place is a JOKE.

Our goal is for everyone to have an enjoyable experience using our website and to get some great deals as well. In order to do that, you will want to familiarize yourself with our item descriptions and how items are lotted. We deal in secondary market items. Secondary market means, these could come from customer returns, overstock, shelf pulls or display/floor models. We state clearly in writing throughout the website, the terms and conditions and even signs in our warehouses that we do not test items, we do not assemble items, and we dont verify part lists to confirm completeness. We use 5 item classifications to describe the items listed on our website: Brand New: Item is complete and in original packaging. Brand New items often originate from shelf pulls or overstock. Good Condition: Item is free of major damage or defects. The item may or may not be in the original packaging, packaging may be less than perfect, hardware may be missing, or product may have been opened previously. Minor scrapes, scuffs, chips, or dents may be present. Good Condition items often originate from customer returns, shelf pulls, overstock, or in-store display units. Working Condition Verified: Item has been turned on and appears to have power. This grade is typically reserved for liquidated restaurant equipment, high value electronics, or high value appliances. Working Condition Verified items often originate from customer returns, restaurant *********************** or business closings. As Is: Item has not been thoroughly inspected. Item could show signs of use, could be incomplete, or could have obvious damage or defects. There are no guarantees to the condition, quality, or functionality of As Is items. Although we have made our best attempt to accurately identify and describe the item, please be aware the actual item specifics such as brand, size, color, or model number may differ from the auction listing. As Is items often originate from customer returns, shelf pulls, refurbished goods, or store liquidations. Preview for Condition: Please visit the auction location during the designated preview times to personally inspect this item before bidding. This item could have unique specifications, patterns, or wood grains that are difficult to capture in photos. Item may have been used or have defects. Preview for Condition items often originate from restaurant liquidations, customer returns, overstock, store ***********************, shelf pulls, store displays, or refurbished goods. Refund Policy: All sales are final. No refunds, partial refunds, returns, or exchanges will be considered unless the item has been misidentified, or product condition is incorrect. It is the bidders responsibility to understand the defined product conditions and to thoroughly read all product descriptions and notes before bidding. Sometimes, despite our best efforts, we may inadvertently misidentify or mis-condition an item. Should you discover an error in the identification or condition of the item you won, please see an associate AFTER checking out and before leaving the building so the issue can be addressed. No refunds will be issued once you have left the building. Being familiar with these terms is very important as to how the items condition is assessed. We always recommend doing a little homework online for larger purchases. Double check to see how many boxes the item should be in. That way you'll know if your item is complete or not. All of these terms are posted in every auction and must be agreed to in order to place a bid. The warehouse manager looked at the item and it met the "Good Condition" definition: Good Condition: Item is free of major damage or defects. That is why a refund was denied. The item met the "Good Condition" description.

When you make an item As is you need to describe what is wrong with it... and don't say that it's not inspected because when you put something in a box larger then the item, with all the broken peices then you should put in the description that the item is in peices. Also you go to pick an item up and it's not there but you find it's being auctioned in another auction.

Terrible experience with customer service. I received an item that was misidentified and misrepresented. I reached out to customer service who was awful. The product I received had to be assembled which I could not do on site without proper tools. I understand their return policy however when you misidentified and misrepresent a product, something should be able to be done. Customer service was no help. I won’t be using this site anymore.

DENIED ME PURCHASED ITEMS DURING PICK UP Mason OH store denied me my purchases items once I arrived to pick them up. I arrived morning after "last pick-up date", items were still in allocated isle and not yet re-entered onto auction platform, but a tall male employee denied me the items and told me I forfeited my $122. My invoice was also charged an undisclosed 17.3% Premium Fee during bidding, for which there is no explanation or policy. Another item we picked up at Mason OH store had an undisclosed 18.4% Premium Fee. The invoice also shows $3 added for freight surcharge, which is undisclosed during bidding but is only disclosed on the invoice. I was "on-time" for another item pick up, but could not locate it in the messy, disorganized, chaotic store. My small item was supposed to be in a large box where other items are simply dumped. Several packages were open with contents spilling out into the "dump box". The online product photos are very poor, not providing much detail to help locate items. Although the check-out lady with dark hair was very kind and apologetic about the mislocated item and money forfeiture, I cannot trust the BidFTA platform or its stores. BidFTA is not accredited with Better Business Bureau, however their rating with BBB is 1-star. Poor-to-no customer service, business platform is built on taking advantage of consumers. BidFTA is racking in consumer money thru such practices.

We actually have an A- rating with the BBB. We work hard to resolve any issues where we are at fault and we try to educate our bidders about our Auction Terms, item descriptions and the refund policy. All of this information is in the auction terms that you agreed to in order to receive a bidder number. You wrote that you missed your removal days. The warehouses are on strict inbound and removal schedules and do not hold anything beyond their posted removal days. Removal dates are stated on every auction as its running and also on the receipts you receive once its charged out. Unfortunately, we cannot issue refunds for items not picked up on time. The buyer's premium is a *****% fee on all purchases. It's a common fee for most auction houses, it goes towards the administrative costs of running the auctions. This is disclosed in the Terms of the auctions that were agreed to. Due to elevated freight costs, BidFTA is charging a per lot freight surcharge on all lots - $1 fee for items over $5 or a $0.25 for items under $5 plus local tax. This is also disclosed in the terms of the auctions that were agreed to. We always recommend to new bidders that they read through our auciton terms and the **** on our website so that you are familiar with our policies before you begin bidding.

BUYER BEWARE: This does not negate the fact that my Purchased Items (I have the receipts) were still accessible and not yet relisted on auction (some items did not repost for 2 days), yet I was told the Purchased Items were not mine and that I forfeited $180. This is a bitter pill to swallow. Also, BidFTA has suspended my account perhaps due to logging a complaint as to the way they do business. I did not see this in their Policies article. This action could be viewed as retaliatory. Apparently one of us does not properly understand the English definition for the word "Purchased".

      L. B.

      Date: 05/07/2025

According to BBB, BidFTA is not BBB Accredited. That means BidFTA (Mason OH) is not officially recognized or authorized by the BBB. Difficult to have an "A- rating" with an organization that does not recognize you! Another example of someone not understanding proper English definitions.

This place *****. No customer service, stuff is always labeled wrong and they always sell damaged items and incomplete items. Ive bought there 5 times and have never had a single thing I bought be what it was supposed to be. To me its a big scam and I dont think they should even be allowed to sell as is items bc all the items are always broken , missing pieces or flat out a completely different item than what you bought. And dont expect any help navigating the chaotic warehouse. All I got to say is make sure you open your item there before you leave and inspect that its even the same item you bought and not a broken piece of junk.

I am extremely disappointed with my experience with BidFTA. I rented a moving truck specifically to pick up items I won, only to find that not all of them were properly recorded as missing by staff. I’ve spent over a month emailing, driving to the warehouse, and trying to recover my missing items. While they eventually admitted they found them, they’re now refusing to release them to me because the staff failed to mark them as missing in the system. How can a company sell items that are apparently unavailable? That’s not just bad business—that’s deceptive. Their refusal to honor their refund policy or take accountability for their own system’s errors is unacceptable. I am not writing this just to warn others—I’m writing this to demand justice for customers who have been scammed, ignored, and dismissed by this company. BidFTA needs to do better. We deserve transparency, accountability, and the items we paid for.

For items that have been reported to the removal staff as missing, the warehouse will look for missing items after the removal days have passed for that auction. If the items are found, an email will be sent to you notifying you that it has been located. If they are not located within 4 business days after the last removal day, the system will automatically generate a refund for the item.

I am extremely disappointed with my recent experience using BidFTA, and I feel compelled to voice my concerns about the consistent issues with your system and customer service.Your system failed to accurately process the missing items from my order. A warehouse manager ***** even had to contact support to report that not all of my missing items were entered correctly. This points to either a serious training issue among your staff or a malfunctioning scannerpossibly both. I spoke with two different employees, both of whom acknowledged problems. One was supposed to scan items for several missing items, yet most of them were still not properly recorded as missing. Another staff member located some of the items and scanned them, but I never received a notification, and the system falsely marked the order as not ready. No refund has been issued to date.I rented a moving truck for three days specifically to retrieve my itemsI did not abandon them. Im currently pregnant, and the stress caused by this situation is unacceptable and entirely avoidable. This isnt an isolated incident. Ive seen numerous complaints from others about your system crashing mid-bid, notifications not going through, and orders being mishandled. Its clear that system failures and poor service are a pattern, not a one-off problem.I expect a resolution to this issue, including a full refund for the missing items and compensation for the time and money wasted due to your companys negligence.

Don't buy this **** I won 5 items... 3 of them were not anywhere near what I ordered... Broken, not what I bid on, and not the item described. Contacted support, they told me all items were nonrefundable and that we should have checked the items before we checked out. HOW?? How am I supposed to open a 78" piece of glass (not what was advertised), a vanity (100lbs and the sink and a leg were broken), backpack (I don't know what this thing is that I picked up, but it isn't what I bid on. It's a backpack but not what they showed. This place is just **** Don't waste your money and time bidding on items here. Yeah it's cheap but it's also useless.

I wouldnt have a problem with the condition if the item was actually what you posted it as to be. We had several items that me and my friend purchased that were not what they were supposed to be. One of them was even a ceiling fan that had a big black marker on the side of the box fan burnt out so you sold a burnt out fan as if it were in good condition. It was not it didnt work and plus there was no way of testing it within the facility because how are we supposed to hook up a ceiling fan? I was also sold a shower curtain or shower door that all it was was just a piece of glass. There was no hardware there was not even the whole product you were selling things And just as pieces theres not any kind of quality check to make sure that everything is there on the item? Yeah you open the box, but the box that you show this picture of random stuff the backpack I purchased it was not the backpack that was posted. It was completely different backpack and I mean Im not sure what it is. Its a backpack, but its definitely not something you would just carry every day know the other items Ive seen and Ive talked to other people that have had the same issue. Hello there are ******** pages about how people who have gotten bad products and how people have gotten screwed over by buying things that are not what they say. They are one lady said she bought a mirror. It was a piece of glass. You know there has to be some kind of accountability for the items that youre selling that are not what you are saying they are so you can have anything you want on your website, but youre still selling things that are not what you say they are. It really feels like this is just a big money grab for you. Yeah youre getting the stuff of pennies on the dollar and turning around and selling it you know so youre making money but youre selling junk.
