      We rented a 20 yard dumpster with 2 ton weight limit to clean out the garage. Over 3 hours, myself and a friend cleared out the garage of mattresses, 2 bed frames, one arcade game, and some other miscellaneous household trash. The dumpster was picked up a couple of days later and we paid $699 as per contract. Several weeks later I received an invoice for a further $1747 for an overage of 18 tons. I was told that the total weight of the dumpster was 40,000 pounds!!! That is equivalent of over 13 cars. It is a ridiculous assertion that we could have moved that much weight in 3 hours. I was told by one of the employees that they cannot even carry more than 10000 pounds. There is no way that the dumpster weighing over 40000 pounds could have been carried away. This is day light robbery!

      I rented a dumpster from your company last week with the delivery for tomorrow 08/23 and you re-scheduled for 08/30. A week reschedule is not acceptable in todays market and competitive business. You and I know that I could call many other companies, less price and service is not a 3rd party. You are a 3rd party broker and don't own any of the dumpsters. You should be ashamed that you provide a service with no ways to contact accept being bounced around on the phones. If you were a legit dumpster business it would be easier to book, cancel and you don't treat customers like this. Your price is higher than others as well. For a multi million dollar business it doesn't show!! Stay clear away and should be out of business. I would like a call from the Owner of the company like **** ********, ***** ***** or ******* *****.

      I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

      In the complaint I asked for a call from the owner of the business. Until I get a call from the owner anyone can send an auto generated. When I call the company there is no contact except a "manager." This is not acceptable and believe that a businesses reputation with communication starts at the top. If the manager offers a $25 credit to wait a week for delivery what customer would accept this? What do I get not taking the dumpster? Nothing but me having to book with another company. Don't act like this ok and acceptable business practices. You should be ashamed your going to share with "executive team." What does that even mean. I want to see how you're going to improve this process for other customers in the future. Processes are made and if you can't deliver in an acceptable and timely fashion then why have a business advertised as a "budget dumpster." As most would say, you get what you pay for. All I asked for is a call from the owner of the company. This isn't a hard task to handle internally based on having several owners of the company. What do you learn off this?

      I have ordered multiple dumpsters from budget dumpster co before this time I ordered a 20 yard for $363 it was delivered but the day I ordered it. They ran my card everything was good then the next day they called and asked if I could take a smaller dumpster I said okay whatever then after that called me and said they actually didn’t have room on the schedule for next delivery as it’s supposed to be there shortly so said it would be the next day.. now the biggest issue is a few days later I get a notification that budget dumpsters took $446 out of my account I didn’t call to make that order or had an knowledge of it. It was Sunday so I tried my luck and called the office they said they didn’t see any transaction for $446 I assured them it was taken form my account. I asked why address it went to they have me an addrsss I ordered for about two months ago .I want my money refunded obviously but they didn’t have a supervisor on call today.

      We apologize for any confusion regarding this charge. The $446 invoice that the customer received is a weight charge from a previous dumpster rental. This is why an address from a previous order was listed on it. This customer has also incurred overage fees in the past. Our team has been in contact with the customer to explain this charge and is working on obtaining additional documentation to support this overage.

      1. On 07/28/2021 I ordered a rental form Budget Dumpster, LLC. (phone: 1-855-255-6710) and a dumpster was delivered on 07/30 with a notice: "Trip Fee: If we’re unable to drop off or pick up the dumpster for reasons beyond our control, such as a locked gate or unplowed snow, we charge a minimum fee of $150 to reroute service and delivery." 2. On the same day, I discovered the dumpster's door could not be opened (verified by 4 pictures of the dumpster's door sent to the company). Yet it still failed to fix or replace the faulty item, so I scheduled a pick up for 08/01 as the company advertised to open on weekends (8-5 Sat. 9-6 Sun.) 4. The company picked up the dumpster on 08/03 but charged a $150 "trip fee or haul fee". After a dozen email exchanges, they still won't refund the fee but each time gave a different "reason". 6. I ask a full refund simply because I ordered a functional dumpster rental not an unusable one and the $150 charge is unjustly made. Thank you BBB! ** **

      This customer reached out regarding an issue opening the dumpster door, and followed up pictures of the door after business hours. Our representatives provided instruction and video resources on how to properly use the container's door. Based on the photos, the door appeared to be operational, but we were willing to work towards mutually beneficial options to avoid the costs and time associated with delivering a new container. However, the customer ultimately decided to not use the container in any capacity and cancel the order. The $150 charge in question is a direct result of the cancellation. We apologize for any confusion but our representatives were transparent about the fees associated with canceling and having the container removed empty. Upon removal of the container, our representatives confirmed the door was fully functioning. We unfortunately do not feel Budget Dumpster was provided the opportunity to resolve this situation, which is why we will remain firm on the charge of $150.

      It is NOT true that the photos were sent out after business.  I sent the four photos Friday 07/30 around 6 PM but the company's business hours are up until 9:00PM

      It is NOT true that the door was functional, and the video instructions were for a total different dumpster than the one I got in the picture.

      It is also NOT true that I canceled the order, I scheduled for the next day 07/31 a pick up of the faulty dumpster. See the attached different photo.  But they arranged the pick up for the date 08/03 that is three days later without engaging me for a solution.

      They have had no explanations for why the faulty dumpster was delivered to my house until this response to BBB.

      Budget Dumpster would like to reconfirm that the dumpster provided to this customer was not faulty. We provided resources to the customer to assist with the opening of the dumpster door. Before we could work towards a resolution, the customer scheduled a pick up of the dumpster. They said the following in an email after we asked for clarification: "All I want from your company is to get the faulty dumpster out of the drive way by tomorrow and issue a full refund. I have to remind you that two days of my time wasted on dealing with this knowingly yet still delivered dysfunctional dumpster for which you have charged for $417." This was understandably interpreted and handled as a cancellation request/empty dumpster removal. At this time, the customer was advised that the dumpster would be refunded less the haul fee for the dumpster as long as it was empty upon removal. Therefore, this charge remains open for payment. We would like to extend the customer a discount on a future rental, should the customer still need assistance disposing of items.

      I contracted with Budget Dumpster for a 20 yard dumpster. They delivered a 40 yard dumpster. The driver said a larger dumpster is delivered when a smaller dumpster is not available. He said don't worry because there was no additional cost to me. Budget Dumpster charged $117 overage because I exceeded the weight of the contracted 20 yard dumpster even though they delivered a 40 yard dumpster and the driver specifically said "no extra charge". The Budget Dumpster rep said this is my fault for not calling Budget Dumpster to tell them a larger dumpster was delivered. No one ever told me I might receive a larger dumpster, that I should call if I receive a larger dumpster or that I had to adhere to the 20 yard weight limits if I received a larger dumpster. I should not be responsible for the overage charge. If Budget Dumpster had delivered the 20 yard dumpster as contracted, I would have adhered to the limit. I did not exceed the 40 yard weight limit.

      The customer's concern regarding their order is understandable and we are happy to provide greater details on pricing/sizing. A 20 yard dumpster was not available at the time of delivery, instead of delaying the delivery, Budget Dumpster delivered the 40 yard dumpster that was available at the time. This was at no additional cost to the customer. Regardless of the size of the container, the weight of the container is ultimately what determines the cost associated with disposal. The customer pre-purchased a 1 ton weight limit, which is the smallest weight available. The overage invoice that the customer is referring to is for exceeding the pre-purchased weight of the dumpster, not related to the size of the dumpster.

      I have been communicating with budget dumpster via email because this is the only method of communication regarding disputes. One of the budget dumpster reps told me in email that I should have called budget dumpster to tell them a larger dumpster was delivered and they would have explained the weight limits. Therefore, the budget dumpster response to BBB is disingenuous. The response implies that budget dumpster knew a larger dumpster was being delivered or was delivered. If that is the case, budget dumpster had an obligation to call me and explain the limits. Budget dumpster had 10 days to clarify that I was not allowed to load more than one ton of weight into a dumpster that holds 10 tons. Furthermore, the phrase “no additional charge” implies full use of the dumpster, including loading the 40 yard dumpster to the full capacity. Budget dumpster rents dumpsters by size (not by weight). Each size has a weight limit and there is a penalty/fee for exceeding the weight limit of a given size. Any reasonable person would expect to have full use of a 40 yard dumpster if the delivery driver said “no extra charge”.

      On July 27th I called & ordered a dumpster delivered to my sister’s house in ********** for August 13th. I explained I would only need it for the weekend. I paid $449.00 August 13th arrived & no delivery. At 5pm I called the number, was and told they would start a support ticket. By 8pm the dumpster still had not been delivered, I sent an email. The 14th arrives & still no delivery. The crew I hired for the clean out arrived to assist me. At 1030am I called Budget Dumpster LLC and after sitting on hold for several minutes was hung up on. At noon I called to cancel & it was at this point I was informed there was a 1-4 day delivery period. If I had known that I would have asked for a different delivery date. I was also informed that if they could not cancel it I would be charged a trip fee. About 1 hour later a truck with a local DOT number shows up to deliver my dumpster. I believe this company Frauds people please help I attached contract emails and text

      We apologize for any inconvenience associated with this dumpster delivery. As the customer mentioned, Budget Dumpster attempted to deliver the dumpster on August 14th and was turned away by the customer on site. There was nothing fraudulent regarding this transaction. On 8/23/2021, a credit memo was sent to the customer for a full refund, which we kindly ask for continued patience as it takes 3-5 business days to be processed.

      This company's totally flagrant disregard for me as a customer caused me a lot of problems and a doctor cancellation. I feel they scammed me! It was not my fault they either didn't come or call me when here so I could help them get their dumpster. Please see my scheduled notes attached

Please know, Budget Dumpster's standard operating procedures for delivery and pick up does not include a call when en route. There was no guarantee made of a call ahead and we do not require the customer to be present. We are sorry for the overall negative experience and we are actively working to improve service related communication. This is the full extent of the refund and will not be providing any additional discounts.

      Quoted $349.00 discount price for 15 yard dumpster and can load 2 tons. Receive receipt 3 hours after showing I was charged $430.00 and can load 1 ton. Received 10 yard dumpster 08/10/21 . Contacted company immediately about Receiving incorrect size was told to measure the dumpster and take pictures and i would received a refund for the difference. The dumpster measurements was 10.5 Received call 08/11/21 stating the company the dumpster was delivered from measures by depth, so they dumpster would be alittle smaller. Dumpster was picked up and the driver left trash debris in my yard and torn branches from a tree and left the debris in my yard. This company is very unprofessional with deceptive practices. I want to be refunded for the difference in price for the dumpster size and debris left in my driveway.

      I hired Budget Dumpster I wasn't clear they were a third party and didn't use there own equipment. I was terribly disappointed in their service. When asking for a pick up I was very clear that it must be gone by Friday because I was having a party. Per their instruction I set up the delivery immediately for the upcoming Thursday because the guarantee a 48 hour window. Well after sever al calls over Friday night and Saturday and again on Monday. they finally showed up and then charged me an addition 150$ with no explanation. I assume it for a weight as i explained, if they had removed it per the instructions contractors wouldn't have access. Over charged and worse customer service ever.

      We apologize for any confusion surrounding this customer's experience with Budget Dumpster. We regret that we were unable to retrieve the dumpster by the customer's requested date. Budget Dumpster works to meet our customer's preferences, but cannot guarantee delivery days or times due to circumstances outside of our control (i.e. traffic, failed retrieval attempts, inclement weather, etc). When the driver arrived to pick up the dumpster, it was overfilled and unable to be safely removed from the site. The $150 fee was charged because of this initial unsuccessful removal attempt. The customer was sent an invoice and explanation for this charge. The customer ultimately offloaded the dumpster themselves and we were able to return and remove the dumpster. Budget Dumpster requests that this complaint is marked resolved.

      I was provided a window of 48 hours and asked to set my delivery for Thursday. I was home all day Thursday and Friday preparing for the party I was having that weekend. The reason I wanted the dumpster removed. I spoke with there customer service via text and phone Friday Saturday and Monday. At no time did they attempt to pick up or mention that. Please provide proof! We didn’t offload anything from dumpster between them saying this and retrieving this. All I was told his it’s not our dumpster we rent them for a local company and we have no control. They had control enough to charge a few that isn’t accurate. Again I was home and I have cameras . I cannot go back this far now but I never received a recording alert that a truck was in my driveway or a text phone call doorbell ring or on any of my calls with them including the heated one on Monday did they say they had been by. Please don’t let them take advantage of anyone else.

Ultimately the customer’s dumpster was overloaded and unable to be safely transported thus resulting in a trip fee. There are photos clearly showing this dumpster was overloaded.       I contracted with Budget Dumpster LLC. I had my back porch deck and railing replaced and needed to have the old lumber hauled off. I requested a 1 ton dumpster. *** ************ ********** delivered materials and replaced my deck and railing. Total weight of the replacement lumber was approximately 1400 lbs, It was delivered in a 1500 Dodge pickup, rated at 1000 Lbs. I had the lawn service contractor load by hand the dumpster, charging me for 1 hour labor, I have pictures of the dumpster half full. Budget dumpster billed me for 12.73 ton (35,460 Lbs). The dumpster was picked up 6 April but not weighted in at the land fill until 8 April. I have a phone log where I first contacted Budget Dumpster 6/15/21 asking for the weight ticket, they didn't have it. Contacted Again 6/15/21 5PM. 6/15/21 5:45PM, 6/29/21 3:30PM, 6/30/21 7PM, 7/7/21, 7/14/21 5:pm, and 8/19/4:40. I have spoken with Zack, Kayla, Mike and Matt who pass me back and forth. The weight has to be bogus. More detail

      We are sympathetic to this customer’s concerns. The weight of the dumpster is determined in a state-regulated weighing process. We appreciate the customer’s estimations of the weight, but ultimately it is this official process that determines the weight documented and charged to the customer. As additional confirmation for this overage fee, we are working to obtain the original document from the disposal site. We do apologize for the delay and will send this to the customer as soon as available. To address his concerns regarding the retrieval of the dumpster, the dumpster was both picked up and weighed on April 8. There was no delay in this regard. 


      As a courtesy, the customer has already been offered a $321 reduction of his overage fee. This billing adjustment is still available to the customer.

      I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. I would like to view the official weight document once budget dumpsters has acquired it. The copy forwarded to me was not signed by the weighing official, or the truck driver. Also, from looking at the Weight slip, it looks like the dumpsterweighed was weighed in Maryland. It would make no sense to dump it in a different state. I will attach photos of the dumpster. I am having the gentleman I hired to build the deck, and the lawn car company I paid to load the dumpster provide written statements detailing the contents. Both of these statements will be provided once I have received a response. As you can see from the photo, there is no way the dumpster was 22.7 tons over weight.

      The official weight document has been sent to the customer. We regret that the customer is not satisfied with the documentation provided. As this comes directly from the disposal site, there is no further documentation we can provide. The information included on this document reconfirms the amounts charged to the customer. Please know, many disposal sites are forgoing signatures as an altered standard operating procedure from Covid-19. Furthermore, the disposal site is determined based on the materials in the dumpster (*** ********** and the most fuel efficient route.
