On May 15th, I went to court for the company and was told by judge and attorney to call and set up a payment plan. I was told to wait a day for result to be sent over! I call to proceed with payment and was told a payment plan cannot be set up. Even asked for supervisor and was told the same, when judge and attorney said something else.Business response

I am trying to make a payment on my account and I cannot login. My login info is the same as it’s always been. I have been making these payments for months. Now all of a sudden my account cannot be located. I have called, left messages and emailed, but nobody will answer me. This will count against me and I’m trying, but I can never get a real person on the line to help. It’s like they are doing this on purpose. I have screen recordings and copies of the emails I have sent to prove my attempts to contact them if needed, if they decide to try to say I’m just not paying.Business response

10/04/21 I was sued by this firm representing conns. I've tried calling, leaving voice messages for months and have never received a call back. I received a letter stating I needed to contact the company between their open hours of Monday & Wednesday 8AM-7PM (EST) Tuesday, Thursday & Friday 8AM-5PM (EST) and Saturday 8AM-12PM (EST). I have attempted several times, with every number available both in the received letter and online to contact them during their business hours including April 8th and April 10th. Each attempted call I am met with an automated voice dialer stating the business is closed. I am attempting to settle time sensitive business with them, and not reaching the business in a timely manner may cause me legal ramifications along with additional accrued fees. I have left several voicemails for callbacks per the instruction of the auto dialer and have yet to receive a call back.Business response

I received a letter from the courts about a debt. I called the company listed on the court papers and they told me to contact these people. I have called multiple times and left messaged. I have even emailed. No one answers the phone or calls back.Business response

I reached out to this collection agency via email on 04/14/2023 via the email address and telephone number they provided asking for proof of the debt. I never received a call back or an email. I didn't follow up due to the non response. I should have because now they have a judgement against me and they have placed a lien on my home and a garnishment with my employer. I have reached out to resolve this matter. I would like a settlement offer without paying the full amount which was not validated by this company but obviously an attorney filed and was granted this judgement. I should have done my due diligence and contacted an attorney myself. I thought by asking for proof of this debt that this company was liable to provide it. I want this resolved!! I want this settled. I do not want a garnishment from my employer to continue and I do not want a lien on my home. This is overkill. I have emailed the company again. I have tried to log on to their website several times with a JB file# ******* and cannot access anything nor can I reach a LIVE personBusiness response

My original debt was $1,719.93. I agreed to pay $100 per month. Their lawyer, ***** ************** told me that I should sign the agreement to pay. Interest rates would only be added if I defaulted. We went to court; I told the Judge that I didn't agree with the interest rates being added to a debt already bloated by who knows what additional fees. Original default was $1,393 of original credit card. I made 3 payments of $100. My debt should be $1,419.93. I was about to make my 4th payment. When I look at the outstanding balance, it is showing $1,565.22. They added $147 for court costs plus interest rates. Something again, ***** ************** told me in court in front of a Judge that it wouldn't happen unless I defaulted. I contacted them today, explained it to them nicely and courteous. They then said, you signed it, you owe it. I was then transferred to a supervisor and the supervisor sent me to voicemail. Unbelievable!!!Business response

As background, we represent ******** Investments LLC(“Client”) in a matter against ****** ******(“Consumer”) situated in **** County Justice of the Peace 4-1 case number ***********.
Consumer filed a BBB complaint regarding the amount owed on the judgment. We have come to an agreement that Consumer pay a total of $1719.93 at $100 per month. This plan is still on track. The discrepancy between the balance and the settlement amount is the balance is regarding the total debt, which will only come into play if the Consumer defaults on the current payment plan. As it stands, regarding this payment plan, the consumer has $1419.93 remaining to settle this account. The interest and court costs only get added back on if the Consumer fails to pay as agreed.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
Javitch Block states that interest rates and other fees would only apply "If I was to default". However, they have already added interest rates and court costs which I didn't agree to. Please see email from their counsel representing them that day of court. It's on court record that any additional fees would be only applied if I was to default. I am sending you a current screenshot of the balance. The balance as the response states should be $1,419.93. However, it is not. I just spoke to a representative this morning and they keep saying that I signed an agreement, which I did, but it was based on the fact that interest rates and court fees would only be added if I defaulted. This business makes it so difficut to get in touch with them and they just won't accept when they are wrong. I've been dealing with trying to contact them to correct balance, they then transfer me to a supervisor, it goes to voicemail and they never call back. Awful business and way to treat consumers.

I had a wage garnishment so I paid the balance due off and now I can’t get any communication from this company. I was on hold for over an hour and then hung up on. They pester you to pay and then don’t return your call after you pay online.Business response

As background, we represent ********* ******** Associates(“Client”) in a matter against ***** *********(“Consumer”) situated in *********** Municipal Court case number **********.
Consumer filed a BBB complaint regarding garnished funds after Consumer has paid in full on 2/20/2024. Any garnished funds received by our firm in excess of the amount owed on this det will be refunded when/if received from the employer/court. To date, we have not received any garnishment payments. That being said, sometimes the court collects these payments or there may be a delay on the employer’s end. Once the settlement payment clears, a satisfaction will be filed and any funds held by the court, if any, should be released back to the consumer. We do apologize if you experienced longer hold times than usual.
