Why call on a Sunday and here’s the proof I missed the call and someone left a voicemail I’ve contacted them back and all lines send you straight to voicemail they’ve placed a hold on my bank account with no point of contact and the court dismissed the case I will be getting a lawyer involved with this company

I was served by Javitch Block on 10/26 due to a s******** **** credit card. I have tried to contact them multiple times to pay for the debt in full but none of the operators are ever available. It seems that communication is a running issue with the organization. I would like to get this taken care of before the issue escalates.Business response

I have been involved with a payment plan with this company for years and have reached my final payment(s). I've been unsuccessful in attempting to make payments online and have tried to contact this company several times regarding finalizing my account. Each time I was on the line for extended periods with no answer (kept telling me everyone was busy). I have also left messages requesting return calls to no avail, including one left today. I tried again to access my account online and it is telling me my information does not match the log-in credentials, which is strange because I've been paying through their portal for years, as stated. I do not want this to come back on me as a legal problem, I just want to finalize/settle my account. I have paid faithfully down from thousands to just under $600 and I just want it to be done.Business response

I never received any communication from them at all until I was notified by HR that a wage garnishment had been placed. After that, I got documents in the mail. I've since tried calling and emailing them to try and set something up and stop the garnishments since I wasn't even notified they had my debt until after the fact. I've tried logging in with the file number on the court document and that doesn't work. I've been trying to reach them since around September and have yet to get any response.Business response

On October 6th my check was garnished for a lawsuit by Javitch Block which I had no idea about. Nothing was sent to me informing me that I was even being sued let alone that my check was going to be garnished. I spoke to them on October 9th about settlement. On October 18th 2023 payment went through, I settled my account # ****** with Javitch Block for $1,275 and was told the original amount garnished would be refunded. My check has now been garnished an additional 2 times since making the settlement payment( 3 times total). When I called to check on it the representative at Javitch Block said that I needed to call the court. The court said that it has nothing to do with them and that Javitch Block needs to be refunding my money and sending something to my employer to stop garnishment. Javitch Block duped me into thinking this matter would be taken care of when I would have been much better off just letting the garnishment play out. Now I am struggling and behind on bills. I need the money over paid to be returned immediately. They sure took my money quick but are moving at a snails pace to return what they owe me. For being a "law firm" that handles this process daily, they seem to have no idea how the process works and never give a straight answer. At minimum they should let people know that the garnishment will continue even when they do pay them a settlement amount. This is shady business to say the least. They are also incredibly hard to get ahold of. I have made additional attempts to contact them with no answer. Since they have basically already garnished what I owed I believe they should refund me the settlement amount of $1275.00 immediately and close the account.Business response

We filed a garnishment for an unpaid balance on 9/13/2023. We spoke to the Consumer on 10/18/2023 and the consumer settled the account with us. On 11/1/2023 we spoke to the defendant again and explained any garnishment money we received would be refunded but that it goes through the court first which can cause delays. The satisfaction was filed on 11/6/2023 with the court. To date, we have not received any garnishment funds, but if we do, we will promptly refund them to the consumer.

This company purchased an account that I owed money too from 2020. They took me to court in 2021 but I was not notified by mail at my home. I have attempted for years to get in contact and make payment arrangements with no response or follow up. They attempted to garnish my bank account earlier this year and now are attempting to garnish my wages at work. I have called multiple times again to try and resolve the debt or get onto a payment plan but they do not communicate. I received a letter from them about making payments but the payments are so huge and will adversely affect my home. I just want to be able to pay off the debt without going into further debt or being homeless. They don't seem to care about any of that, only getting the money that they feel that they are owed.Business response

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
I have attempted to get in contact with the company more than just the two times that they have listed. I was not contacted for the original court hearing but did make arrangements to pay $200 per month. When I had financial trouble, I attempted to contact the local attorney that I had set up the arrangements with but received no response. After I received the garnishment notice from my bank this year, I tried to contact the company again. I have tried to call the company every month and I have left messages. The voicemail states that they will return the call but I have never received a return call. I was finally able to get in contact with someone this month and they told me that my previous attempts did not matter and that they could not make any changes.I am frustrated with the fact that I continue to try and reach out to make arrangements but all that I continue to receive is the run around from the company. They have not been open to any conversation which would be a good faith decision to get the funds that they need.

The agency has not done their due diligence to contact me timely or to give me a chance to appear in court. They have refused to work with me to reach a resolution. I have contacted the Attorney General's office to file a complaint about the company. This is not a way to do business and hope that you will receive the funds. I do not have a true issue with paying any money that I may owe, only the methods for the agency to receive their money are predatory and goes against standards initiated under the consumer protection agency.

This company is using the court system to illegally garnish money from my work check. On November 29th a Judgement was filed against me for a credit card debt I owed, the total amount owed was 733.39 plus court fees which totaled 962.79. My work check was garnished and the debt was paid off. Now just recently on September 6th I received a letter stating that I had a balance of 19.65. The court filing is dated August 14th and it was mailed out on September 1. This is enables me to file a request for a hearing because you only have 5 days to do this. Furthermore. Why are they garnish me when I have paid them in full. When I call I get no answer, no return call,Business response

I received a letter in the mail notifying me of a wage garnishment. I never received one bill or summons for court from them even though they claim they sent it to me. Which I highly doubt because the court papers have my old address. Even still I paid the full debt of $3,143 in full on 08/11/23. They still took a payment from my check. They didn't even close my account until I called back. When I asked how long will it take for a refund they said anywhere from 7-10 business to a month. I asked them email the release order to send to my job so that they stop taking payments which they state they can't do. I asked them to fax a release order directly to my job and they said it will take 24 hours. It has been over 6 days and my job has not received anything from them this should have only taken 48 hours max. I am now being told it takes 2 weeks to fully close the account and send documents. I'm also now being told they have no clue when my refund will come and I need to call the courts. But they haven't sent the letter of satisfaction to the courts so I can't get any information on my refund. I can't afford to have wages garnished because you all "feel" 25% of my income is disposable. It is not and I need my money. I understand everything has a process but I paid in full and what I am asking for is simple. I just want my release order for my job, letter of satisfaction for the courts, and my refund.Business response
