It is very unfortunate that one interaction with a banking associate can destroy a customers relationship with a corporation. I have been with Huntington bank for possibly a decade or more and never had an experience like this before. A complete lack of awareness and consideration for a company's clients at the Twinsburg, Ohio location. Simply wishing to drop off a POA order for my parents account which I had done for two other corporate banks that afternoon without issue. I understand some institutions are different than others, but the experience was what prompted me to write a complaint. After waiting in line for a teller without being asked by 5 employees how I could be helped I was told for this I had to wait for an actual banker. I and 3 other families waited 45min for two bankers, no acknowledgement or consideration to expedite their tasks. A very junior associate attempted to assist me but could not complete any tasks without the banker ******* assistance who was in no hurry to offer assistance and seemed to be fabricating busy work as I sat visibly irritated (Informing us she has a very important call she must make first before she can offer assistance, that being as we overheard her notifying someone a personal item was forgotten). At this point she has no intentions of being helpful, accommodating or sympathetic. Naturally and matter of factly without viewing the account on the computer at all. I'm told nothing can be done without another document. The passive aggressive attitude, non-helpful careless flippant approach I've never experienced at a banking institution. This individual clearly has no regard for the whole of the institution and obviously has no regard for her own accountability. I will not be using this branch again and intend too close said acct. There are too many other banking institutions out there without having to deal with these types of characters. This message is too inform the Huntington bank fraud department that I have filed a recent complaint with the **** ******** ********* ****** in reference to harassment from your bank. you are illegally charging me crazy fees and overcharging me twice for a draft where no funds have been deducted out of my account or Huntington's bank. in the event that my paycheck does not show up properly I will sue Huntington bank.The Huntington National Bank Response

I hate that I had to even give a star to this bank. I have banked with Huntington Bank for over 15 years and honestly never had any issues with them. They seemed to be a normal bank, UNTIL they decide to force close your accounts and hold your money hostage. This has happened to me twice and I swore I would not deal with them the last time this occurred but due to having so many things in limbo with them it was just easier to keep the accounts active. I made two disputes from my ex that were not valid they decided to not award the disputes and then decided to force close my accounts on a Thursday. No problem,....went and opened another account with a new bank and decided to visit the branch to see if I could withdraw the 2000 dollars I had in my account. I also advised them I was getting paid on that Friday and wanted to see if they could force push back my check so my job could issue me a new check. The bank teller was nice and really tried to assist me, but after several phone calls to different dept I was told they couldn't remove the hold and that I would receive a check in the mail for the money that I had in the acct. They then told me that the deposit made they could see would be rejected and sent back to my jobs bank. Monday rolled around, reached out to my employer who stated they did not have the funds returned so they would not issue me a check. So I called Huntington only to be told that my check was sitting in a pending status????? Im like what you told me the accounts were closed? The rep tells me on the phone my accts are closed but that the check is just pending until the system recognizes that the acct are active. So let me get this straight as a single mother who need to feed her kids and pay her bills. You are making me wait for the money that is in my accts and the check that I should have received Friday you have not kicked back either so I have NO MONEY and the only thing you can offer me is an apology. This review is about Huntington National Bank. Do NOT use them!! I bought a car 9 years ago and paid it off 3 years ago. I tried selling my vehicle ( I live in Louisville, KY) only to find my title has a lien on it from this company. I called to find out why they sent the title to me with a lien attached even though I paid off the loan. The supervisor I spoke with, *** (female) told me it is due to KY not requiring them to release their lien. I believe this is a malicious business practice and they should be required to release any lien once the loan is paid in full. She said they mailed the release paperwork, but they mailed it to an address I didn’t reside. I am currently attempting to get them to overnight the paperwork, which *** agreed to do, but is still delayed 1-6 business days. How can a business leave a lien on a loan that has been paid? There should be a penalty for these malicious actions.The Huntington National Bank Response

My identity was stolen, and so my first thought was to freeze all my accounts. This saved us at one branch which said they declined to give my funds to the thief. However the second branch gave the thief $1500. The thief then went to a third bank, where they declined the transaction, but then gave the thief back the drivers license she had stolen. The thief then went to a fourth location and was again able to withdraw $2300. Into my first 5 minutes talking to Huntington I told them to freeze all accounts and cancel all cards for the time being. If they would have simply listened to my request for what I wanted with my money, then nothing further could have happened. At each case the fraud department said that the notes would stop the thief and they didn’t. They then refer me to call each branch that they attempt to retrieve money out of. I’m fairly certain the smallest common sense 6 year old would have been smart enough to know that if a thief keeps making withdrawals that the account should be frozen until my funds are secure again, but the worthless security and managers at Huntington have stopped at nothing to show how truly incompetent a person can be at their job.The Huntington National Bank Response

[High fees. Terrible experience] Rep said i can transfer funds to other account using bill pay and it should take only 1 business day for fund to arrive. Sounds good? Yes, so I sent to my friend via bill pay. No fee. Transaction was confirmed. The next morning, I found out I couldn't log in my online banking (saying password/id incorrect. ***?). Had to call reps and found out my account was locked and the transaction was revoked. I DID NOT receive any communications! The rep requested me to go to branch, explaining the lock was due to the bill pay transaction and once it was resolved I would gain back access to online banking. So I went to branch, finished the transaction. Fee is ugly HIGH. No warning or consultation whatsoever. I just found out the fee when they asked for my signature to finish the transaction. Things got even worse when I came home and found out my online banking was still locked. Gave 3 calls to CSR, they even routed me in circle - rep picked up, transfered me to branch line, then transfered me to another rep. Problem was not resolved. I had had problems with the bank before but this was too much. In the end, I just moved all my funds out of Huntington. Could not trust them. Terrible experience. Made an appointment with a personal banker at the ***** *** ***** ***, location for assistance in placing my CD account in Trust. This bank rep scheduled the appointment and advising that I would be meeting with her in order to get this matter accomplished. This lady also forwarded me an email acknowledging the appointment date, time, etc. I explained to her that I reside in a different state and this is the closest branch to me, therefore it's imperative that I have this appointment and the meeting takes place.......She assured me of this. Traveled the 85 miles, one way, and arrived on time (2:30) at which time an individual in the lobby told me she is not working today. Explained that I have an appointment. This individual stated she called off today. With this, this man didn't apologize; nothing. Just a strange look, body language. Then a terrific wind, rain, hail storm hit in this area which caused us to alter our course due to detours, flooding, traffic; over 3 1/2 hours to get back home........Two years ago I called the toll free number to check on my account and was told I didn't have an account. This is a whole other episode but unfortunately I left my money in the account.......To make matters worse I subsequently found that there were two other Huntington's in the area. Perhaps this bank mystery man didn't know this otherwise he could have telephoned and seen if a banker could assist us. So in closing Huntington should give me the $65.00 for gas it cost me for this inconvenience.The Huntington National Bank Response

I wouldn’t give Huntington Bank a star if it didn’t require me to, I’ve been with them for over a decade and when I went through hardships they did not work with me. I don’t recommend anyone bank with them their values have been driven by making more money not the consumers i would suggest going to another financial institution or a credit union they can care less about their customers. Had 2 accounts. One was negative for 11 days and they closed both accounts. I had 2 direct deposits within a couple days. Was told they would be rejected and to see if my employer would send me a check so I could have my money. My employer wired me the funds and then a week later after being told this from Huntington, they hard posted the direct deposits and didn’t reject them and wouldn’t reject them. Then wouldn’t release my funds of over $1000 dollars. I had to wait for some process which could be weeks. Now I might lose my job cuz it looks like fraud.The Huntington National Bank Response

I have made two payments and have expired temp tag. No paperwork to get my car registered. It's been parked in the driveway for two weeks. Called again today. Said docs were mailed last week but tracking info says still waiting on package from shipper. Absolutely the worst. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH HUNTINGTON BANK. *Zero stars should be an option.The Huntington National Bank Response
