Friday, November 12, 2021 was date the initial work began. I have filed a review and history of our issues are there. The floor job was never completely finished and they were paid 100% for that, $1,800. The shower project was started and there were more issues... as per my review that was filed. After the tiler for the shower started we noticed a scratch on our refrigerator that isn't even 2 yrs old. **** has never been back since the floor was starting to be laid. We cut ties with them and they had received $700 towards the shower. We have had to have part of the shower that was started ripped out and started over. The tile was a mess and there was a bow in the water proof board they had put up that needed cut out to correct. I have reached out to the company to have my refrigerator fixed and **** put it back on us. Claiming it happened during it being moved, which we did not see until it was back in place and the tiler started. The tiler was carrying supplies having to go right past the refrigerator. **** claims they do not move anything but they did move the refrigerator and the washer and dryer out. Even Home Depot states they move items for floor installation. The scratch can not be fixed and the refrigerator door has to be replaced. ***** Sales (where it was purchased) has quoted $449.00 plus tax to replace. Due to the fact the floor job was not completed, floor needed to be finished grouted (*** said they would be back to do) Multiple scratches on wall that needed repainted, walls has to be repaired in multiple spots of drywall being damaged, walls had to washed from all the grout water that was over 5 ft up the walls, Toe kick needs to be fixed (nails are under the material so it won't go flush), used our paper towels (multiple rolls). We paid for the start of the shower that we have had to have part of ripped out and corrected. For all the work we have had to fix, repair and finish we want $500.00 in cash returned.

Short version - they are unorganized and incompetent. Not even close to being professional! Long version August 2021 we received a quote to replace flooring and tile a small shower from Kurt Stanley owner of K&K Flooring. By 8/30/2021 our deposit had been placed with Fremont Flooring to order our supplies. Our hold up in putting our deposit down was Fremont Flooring wanted Kurt to confirm/approve the quantity. Which ended up being incorrect and was over $900 extra for the miscalculation after our job was finally started. We were scheduled for mid-October and we kept getting pushed back. It was explained multiple times to Kurt that my husband worked nights and would need to take vacation during the project, as work being done was right outside our bedroom. We were giving  what my husband was told was definitely our start date, Monday Nov 8th. So he started 2 weeks of vacation as he was told the job would take 7-10 days. Then the start date was moved back to Wednesday then to Friday, all while my husband was using up vacation time. Friday November 12th would become the start date of the nightmare project. At 2pm in the after they showed to tear out the shower and informed us we hadn't ordered enough materials. They were then scheduled for Monday morning to remove our flooring. Told us to cover the cabinets in plastic as it would be messy. Monday morning, kitchen & bathroom is covered in plastic and I was sent a text that they would not be coming until Wednesday. Told me to contact the plumber and tell him what to do in the shower. I told Kurt he needed to contact the plumber and explain. Also needed him before Wednesday as my kitchen was not usable covered in plastic. They showed up Tuesday mid morning and began ripping out the floor. Wednesday a floor installer was to show. At 11:30am Wednesday when nobody had showed and I had not received any communication I texted Kurt. I was given a number for a Tommy and told to text him. No work was done. Thursday workers showed to lay flooring mid morning. Mid morning Friday some guys return. Friday evening they worked til 5. There was some arguing, the one guy had wanted to leave at 4 but definitely was out by 5. Some f-bombs were flying and my 8 yr old kept point the f- words that were coming from the kitchen. There seemed like stuff was being thrown around as they were obviously rushing. Asked about them putting the toilet back in and the one worker stated he had never done that before. This was the last day of my husband's 2 week vacation and now had to try and sleep in our daughter's room. They were to be back Monday to finish up on the floor and start shower. They had came unprepared and used 4 rolls of paper towels plus needed a large sharpie marker that was never returned. That weekend we had to put back our washer and dryer after Kurt had told my husband they would do it. Also my husband had to finish grout close to trim so we could move the refrigerator back. Monday morning, Nov 22nd I received a call from one of the workers, not Kurt the owner. That Kurt's cousin had died and nobody would be working that week. I did confirm his cousin died but they did work that week (same kid that called to say they weren't working ended up telling me they worked) I texted Kurt Sunday, November 28th confirming for that Monday. I was told to call and it was obviously from noise in the background he was working. Monday, November 29th Ben arrived to re-grout the floor at noon. Ben told us spots would probably have to be re-grouted. We went over with Ben about some of the damage that had be done that needed repaired and issues we weren't happy about. Corners of walls were damaged. Walls had to be cleaned from head height of dripped grout water that dried. Toe kick was a mess on the end of the 2 cabinet that were visible and he said it needed redone. Clumps of grout had to be worked off window trim and side of cabinets. Again our paper towels were used...at least a roll. In painting the quarter round and trim found adhesive on walls and trim. No workers Tuesday, Nov 30. Wednesday, December 1st Todd arrive around 11:50 to start work on shower. I had to leave work to meet him. He had no clue what the project was and I had to go over everything with him that we had already discussed with Kurt. Thursday, Dec 2nd and worker showed up and then texted the plumber had to come in and do his part before anything else could be done. Friday,December 3rd. Plumber showed up & did his work. K&K worker Todd came around 11. Monday, December 6th no worker, Tuesday, December 7th Todd showed up about noon to work on shower. Left wet saw outside overnight in our back yard. Wednesday, December 8th he showed late morning and texted that the saw had a crack in the water line and he had to go find another one (never returned and had no communication from him). Thursday, December 9, I texted worker if saw was fixed and he was coming. He texted he became ill and was going to go get a COVID test. Friday, December 10th. Four weeks to the day that our project was started. No contact from Kurt about the issues with the floor install or any follow up to areas that may need re-grouted. After tiler showed up we noticed a long scratch on our less than 2yr old stainless frig. We also did not address with Ben and we're going to address with Kurt about other damages that was done. As we were told Kurt needed to deal with issues we had already complained to him about. No communication from Kurt that his worker was sick, was he COVID positive or not. No communication about our project at all.
