1 starVery dishonest and very much over priced. Dealing with a small situation that was not resolved because my time is less important than Midas making money.Review fromKara K

We know Mr. ************* complaint and have done our best to address his concerns as our District Manager contacted him to hear him out and help to explain what was going on with his vehicle. Mr. *********** brought in his 2013 Chevy Truck with almost 172,000 miles. Our DM called and spoke to this customer on 03/21/2025. He asked the shop to install his customer-supplied brake pads and rear lug stud and nut. The shop explained to Mr. *********** that the calipers on his truck were severely rusted and that is why he, himself, was not able to install the pads. Prior to bringing his truck to us Mr. *********** had already attempted to replace his brakes and could not do it. The shop also explained the rear rotor will need to come off to install his lug stud. The shop explained that the rotor was also severely rusted and would likely break when trying to get it off. When the rotor was removed, the parking brake system, which was also severely rusted, fell apart. The customer did not want to spend any money to fix that, so the shop removed the parking brake parts and gave them back to him. When he does get that fixed, he would need those parts. Our DM offered to help him out and get the parts he needed to finish the rear brake work, but he said he was never coming back because we took advantage of him. Our DM apologized for how we made him feel and offered to complete the repairs for him two more times, but he again refused. He said he was too old to worry about it and was done wasting his time.Review fromKeisha M

This business just openly admitted that they did small repairs not knowing if it would fix the issue and want to charge more (charge a little over $1600) now that my vehicle is not working a week later. Stated it must be my gas tank which was not mentioned the date of repair. They really do scam you into paying for unnecessary repairs so they can charge you for hew repairs. Had me there from 9:30am to 5:30pm last time i checked my gas tank is not located under the hood of the car and that is where they spent all those hours doing "repairs."Midas Auto Service & Tire Experts - an Employee Owned Company

We're very sorry Ms. ******** is unsatisfied. We explained to her numerous times that she needs additional diagnostics to determine the exact issues with her 2012 **** Fusion. She had various codes related to the check engine light being on, and she declined the replacement of her exhaust system. We made it clear that she had Evap system issues and likely leaks that would involve labor time to remove the gas tank to find those leaks. We did not charge her for removing the tank and she did not want to pay for that service but that's the only way we would be able to find the leaks. Again, we explained this many times, and though we can understand Ms. ********** frustration, we are not in a position to offer many hours of labor for free.Review fromJim J.

After over ten years of having my car serviced at Midas at ***************** for routine oil changes and coolant upkeep, I decided to have them do work on my car for a water leak. I began my attempt on Wednesday, 29 January 2025 and there are still unresolved issues as of Friday, 28 February 2025. What started out as needing a coolant hose has turned into damages to my hood, grill cut outs, and just outright a total lack of satisfaction with the repairs. I have attempted to resolve these issues directly with the manager of the organization and the corporate office to no avail. This leaves me no other recourse than to get the Better Business Bureau involved with trying to find a equitable resolution with this matter. This is such a disappointment in a lack of professionalism from Midas in genuinely trying to resolve this matter after having paid the full amount as requested.Midas Auto Service & Tire Experts - an Employee Owned Company

We've done all we can to satisfy Mr. ****** but he's simply being unreasonable, considering that his vehicle is 26 years old and has components that have rusted out over time. We did not damage his hood but we would be happy to repair it for him at a fair price. He is well aware that we are capable and willing to repair the hood release if he wants to pay to replace the cable assemblies and all the rusted parts. Again, we're happy to perform these services for a fair price and our district manager has communicated that to Mr. ******Review fromAARON S

1 starThe owner, *****, seems like a great guy when everything is going great. However, if they make a mistake, try to charge you to fix that mistake, and then you argue this, he turns into a woe-is-me, rude, short tempered child. We had a tire replace, during which they were incredibly helpful and even gave my girlfriend a ride to work. Awesome, 10/10 service. They threw in alignment, said the stem and sensor was all good. The next day though, after driving less than 30 miles, the tire was flat. We took it back, had them check the tire, and at least on the rubber, there was no leaks. However, when we got it home we noticed it was slowly leaking from the stem, but enough to let it drive for a couple hours before you noticed it was getting low. When we tried to take it back, it went flat and needed towed. They said that the sensor that they said was perfect when they did the change, was now crushed and they would need to charge us to replace it. They said that even though the tire went flat less than 24 hours after being replaced by a national tire chain, it was on us to replace the sensor. When I said the sensor was only broken because of their mistake that made the tire go flat, ***** spoke over me, said he felt taken advantage of and "Hustled", said they would replace it for free and hung up. If you have no issues, they're great! If anything goes wrong, expect them to be rude, short tempered, and to be ignored when you bring them an issue that they caused. And *****, if you feel taken advantage of for being held accountable for your crews mistake, imagine how it feels when a business tells you you have to pay for their mistakes. Replacing something your mistake broke isn't being taken advantage of, its the bare minimum of operating a business.Review fromKitara M

1 starMy original message was too long so I will summarize as best as I can. I had both front cv axles replaced on 10/17/2024. Afterwards, my abs sensor (front passenger side) was damaged (the light was on). I spoke with ***** before I left and was told if I drive it should go away. I drove over 300 miles but the lights remained on the dash. I spoke with **** and made an appointment for that Monday. When the appointment came, no accountability and blamed me for the sensor damage. From the day I arrived for the repair until now I video and voice record my interactions with them and took pictures. I received a voicemail from **** on 10/29/2024. I called back the next day. I thought he called b/c of the complaint that was filed on Monday of that week but he spoke as if he called b/c the following week he told me he would be there on Thursday but he wasn't. It didn't make sense b/c why didn't he call on Friday, Saturday or Monday. I told him I went to the dealership and was told the part was stretched and that is why it was damaged (when they took the part off I asked to keep it and told them I will be having a mechanic look at it). He kept interrupting me. He said he viewed the cameras and that the mechanic didn't damage anything. I think I asked how would he know since he was under my car. He said he showed me the part and there was no damage and it wasn't stretched. I told him it was and was about to say that I was video recording that day so there's proof but he interrupted me to say that I stretched it out and he hung up on me (I voice recorded that call as well). I contacted Midas complaint line again and was told I received a call from them which told me that is why he called and not b/c of what he said. I'm doing my best to have the issue resolved but I'm not hearing from their boss. I was told I will receive a call from the owner in 24 to 48 hours so I'll see if they actually call this time. If there is no resolution this week, I will have to take it to court.Review fromVanessa A

I took my vehicle to Midas at **************************************************, they kept my car for 3 weeks without ever looking at it. I called several times and was told they were getting ready to look at it and would call me back, (this never happened). I then had my car towed to another auto place where they told me due to the fact that there were open containers in my car they could not work on it. Upon retrieving my car, I noticed cigarettes butts and beer cans all in my car, mind you I do not drink or smoke. I went to Midas to ask how could this happen and the tell me it could have happened during one of their breakins. I do not believe anyone would break in a company and just sit in someone's car and start drinking and smoking. I believe they left my vehicle outside unlocked overnight. The district manager *** gives me a call and tells me to take it to another location where they would clean/detail my car due to the fact that someone had smoked in it, when I get to the other location, they tell me they do not clean/detail cars at that location. I tried contacting the district manager back, with no response. This Midas is horrible, with rude employees and not a concern about people's property that people trusted them with. I also had items stolen out of vehicle, where they said they coudn't do anything about that but to make a police report. I would like to see their police about all the break-ins they claim to have had during the 3 weeks they kept my car. I will never give them business ever again and to anyone that reads this never leave your car overnight with them. They are a sorry excuse for a business.Midas Auto Service & Tire Experts - an Employee Owned Company

First, we're very sorry ************************ vehicle was broken into. That is something that has been happening more and more in that area. We also made it clear that we would reimburse her to have the vehicle cleaned and detailed but she has cut off communication with ***, our district manager.Yet we can't be responsible for valuables left in a customer's vehicle but we will certainly assist her with any input she needs for a police report. The issue with her vehicle was a bad alternator that she had installed elsewhere and after we informed her of this her vehicle sat for some time before she had it removed. We did not ask her to take it to another Midas for cleaning/detail but to confirm the diagnosis per her request. Again, *** made it clear to her that we are happy to reimburse her for having her vehicle cleaned but she is now not returning ***'s calls, yet that offer still stands but we will need cooperation from her in order to accomplish this.Review fromANDREA L

Exceptional service! I cannot say enough about the lengths they went to in fixing my 2020 ****** Celica. When I needed a new muffler and my regular mechanic wouldn't touch my car, saying that the frame was so shot it was dangerous to work on, I took it to the Solon Midas shop. They replaced the rear sub-frame as well as the many pieces and parts that were needed to make my car safe - and as it is a 24 year old car, they went to whatever lengths it took to find and get all the many parts as they needed them to finish the job. I am very grateful to ************************* and his crew, and the Manager, who all saw this big job through - and they gave me back my wonderful car, safe again for me to drive for many more years! I am overjoyed that they could fix it. If I could, I'd give them 10 stars - they deserve it! I totally recommend them for not just muffler and exhaust system work, but for whatever mechanical repairs a car needs - they are a very competent, thoroguh, and consciencios group. I thank my lucky stars I went to them!Midas Auto Service & Tire Experts - an Employee Owned Company

I had used Midas for the last 15 years for my oil changes, and I will never go to them again. My son Who has certain challenges had went to Midas to get an oil change. During that time he was there they stated he needed 2 new tires and a control arm. They told him it would be roughly $2700, he said he did not have that money and they said they could finance him. He told them that he wanted to call his mother and talk to her about it first because he knows that he is unable to make those kinds of decisions. the owner/manager told him that he did not need to call his mother that he could walk him through the entire process and would explain everything to him. The manager/owner then took my son to my sons bank as my sons car was still on the rack. He took him to his bank to get his routing and bank account information to apply for loans for him to get his car fixed. I know that there were several different places he applied for because I kept getting letters in the mail saying he was denied and each time that happens it lowers the credit score. He did finally get approved for one loan and the interest rate was *****% so after the cost of the $2700 repairs and over $3000 in interest my son was looking at a grand total of almost $6000. He was looking at 26 payments of $227 every two weeks. I looked up the prices of his tires at ******* and the control arm the tires wouldve ran between $75 and $100 a piece in the control was a little over $30. He does have a car that takes synthetic oil so his oil changes are normally around $60-$70 so he was looking at a total of $300-$350 in parts he wouldve been paying $6000 for the parts and labor Through Midas. Thank God the finance company did offer a 90 day same as cash so that we were able to pay it off in three months at the $2700 that was financed instead of having to pay all that interest. These people are complete and absolute crooks that take advantage of people with special needs. Dont waste your time in going there.Midas Auto Service & Tire Experts - an Employee Owned Company

We're very sorry *** ****** feels this way and our intent is simply to assist and help people maintain and repair their vehicles and that's all our team did here. We contacted her immediately upon receiving her initial complaint so we could discuss her concerns and to explain our actions. As far as her son, *** ****** felt we should have been able to identify that her son has some degree of autism, but our technicians have no training to do so and we typically consider adult males driving vehicles on their own as also capable of making their own decisions. *** ****** never gave any indication that he was not competent. Reviewing our security footage also gave no indication that *** ****** had any issues or concerns either. Regarding he pricing discrepancies *** ****** refers to, they are simply inaccurate and deserve no further response, other than to offer our price match guarantee. If she would like to discuss that, she may contact the Midas location or our district manager who contacted her previously.
