I am a disabled Veteran. Dental Tech, USN, *****. Retired Forensic Psych RN.Referred by the VA. ********** manager ****** is nothing but a bully and the billing is incorrect.I feel as if they try to push the patient into accepting a verbal treatment plan for thousands of dollars without any sort of face to face explanation.I was charged for three cancelled appointments during the week my nephew took his life. Three days in a row. Thats false. There are other questionable charges.Myself and my Advocate have been contacted by phone, text and email repeatedly after telling this practice I no longer wish to be a patient and to cease communication, it is affecting my mental health. They refused to listen to me after asking repeatedly for six months for an appliance that I could wear after an extraction of a front tooth. I went to the VA 2 days ago and received an apology that this had happened to ME. They recognized the impact of missing a front tooth on a Veterans mental health and I should have an appliance within three weeks.I was dismissed from the practice after stating I would like a second opinion before more extensive surgery. I have the emails. The first graft isnt healing and they are just now letting me know this, yet wanting to continue with more surgery, this time with metal mesh.If you have any type of anxiety or PTSD? Steer clear as this practice just about pushed me over the edge and still have not ceased contact, and are now bullying my Advocate. They need to be investigated. Read the ****** reviews. I am not the first that has had billing issues.I served my country, I was disrespected. Shameful.Thank you

This dental group is more concerned about money then with patient satisfaction. They are privately owned and speaking with the owner is nearly impossible as the office manager runs interference. My issue is with their policies which are not flexible nor are they patient centered. Specifically their policy on refunds due to out of pocket overpayment and the insurance covering more than what was initially quoted. It has taken me from June 20,2023 to November 13,2023 to get my refund. I believe that irrespective of their policy this is not fair nor acceptable. I did make requests for an exception to their policies but they just insisted it was not possible. Again, not the least patient centered. I was treated in the Gahanna office by Dr. ***** ********* and his tremendous staffers **** and *****. Dr. ********* is not the owner of the practice but he is a tremendous human being and an excellent dentist. I have NEVER met anyone in the field of medicine like him. However\, as a result of the poor customer service exhibited by the office manager and billing staff I am no longer a patient. It pains me to state that but I can no longer support a business who employs staff that are arrogant, rude and inflexible. There are too many options in Columbus that are more than happy to treat me with the respect that I deserve. Suffice it to say, I do NOT recommend this dental practice to anyone under any circumstances whatsoever!

As our company policy states all insurance claims must be closed before any refunds are issued. With two insurances it take a very long time to get all claims paid. We were happy to finally get it resolved and be able to provide your refund.

Sampson Dental Group has unethical office practices. I had appointment and was told I needed additional work. The front office asked if I wanted to make an appointment so I said yes. I was then handed a sheet of paper and was told that their offices requires co-pays to be paid ahead of the appointment. I thought this was weird but said okay. I glanced at the figures on the paper and signed so they could charge my credit card. I assumed that was what my signature was for. At NO TIME did any of the staff in the office tell me that this prepayment was non-refundable. It's in the fine print on the treatment plan page. The appointment was made for 7 days in the future. Two days later, I had misgivings about the office and their practices so I called and cancelled the appintment. This was 4 days in advance of the appointment. When I called, I was told that my co-pay would NOT be refunded to me. That it was their "policy" to not refund prepayments. It is MY policy not to pay for goods/services I don't receive. So.....I cancelled the appointment - what if the dental group slotted another patient into that time frame - does that mean the group makes double money for that time slot? Isn't that illegal? Certainly unethical. I do not recommend this dental group at all. Plus, they did not provide HIPA papers.
