    Invoicing is terrible, not transparent, nobody to speak with to fix. How a new subscriber can get an annual rate of $155.48 yet the best they can do for a 40 year subscriber is $767.00 - then we get charged $6.99 for mailing a paper invoice is ridiculous. My mom, who is also a subscriber, went to auto-billing to save the $6.99 but the very next invoice nearly doubled. This is a scam and buyer beware since the paper moved out of ********* to **. Also, the paper continues to decrease in quality and content and most sports games are too late to make the edition - even if games end by 5PM. Ridiculous. Hoping that the BBB and our state representative can assist in fixing this.

    Subscriber beware. On January 5th, 2024 I signed up for a 1 year subscription promo that promise papers until January of 2025 at which time there would be a renewal and possibly price increases. On July 22nd, I was charged, randomly, $230. Upon calling, they told me that they had a mid year price increase and needed to "charge me for the next 6 months and the next year too" and that my subscription was now paid until July of 2025. She explained that they sent out an "Advanced notice" dated July 28th about this change - Yes - 6 days AFTER I was charged. The customer service rep said that they had the "right to change prices at renewal". I told her the renewal didn't even come yet! This made absolutely no sense and when confronted with that, she had absolutely nothing to say. She then tried keep telling me that my subscription was now good until July of 2025.They insist that even though they stated that the subscription would be in effect until 2025, the "premium" paperers which are included by default get charged extra and shorten your subscription, without option. An absolute nightmare.

    Be aware of all the conditions when you subscribe to The Morning Call. They now charge an additional $6.99 for being billed instead of paying with a credit card. Also, they have the annoying automatic renewal and the new subscription price is always much more than the offer you signed up for originally. Finally, they have "premium issues" (I never noticed anything premium about any of the issues I received) so those take a considerable number of weeks off your subscription. How many weeks? They don't tell you. I guess it's whatever they feel like taking at the time. As a result, your 13 week subscription is suddenly automatically renewed weeks before you expect it to be.What a bunch of scheisters! Unfortunately, they don't let you give 0 stars or i definitely would.

    My father has not had decent delivery in months. He calls about once a month but gets no resolve to the problem. I have started calling daily when his paper isn’t delivered. This complaint has been “escalated” twice to a Manager and a Supervisor in Charge. Someone was supposed to call me back yesterday, but that did not happen. It appears this is a common problem. I can’t believe there isn’t someone within their structure that has the morals to correct the delivery problems. If you don’t want to deliver it, refund his money and stop sending him subscription invoices/offers.

    A week ago MC sent me an email telling me my electronic subscription would rise from about $4 every 4 weeks to $7. I complained and they "reduced" it to $5, which may be the new standard rate, though there is no way to find out. User account information on the web site gives no information about how much I am being charged. Neither does it give any information about the date of the next (or any bill). There is no way to remove my personal credit card information from the website. So I decided to cancel my subscription, and the site informed me that cancellation is not possible. So the company intends to charge me whatever it wants, whenever it wants and it will not allow cancellation. This is deceptive at the least. And this from a media company.

    Two weeks ago I decided to cancel my digital subscription after it jumped to $34/month. On their website is a page allowing you to cancel online, so I did that and screenshot the alert that I was unsubscribed. Today a charge from the Morning Call was posted to my account, despite having canceled. When I spoke to their customer service line, I was told they had no way to cancel online and I must be on a fraudulent website (mcall.com/customerservice). Also that they couldn't refund my payment in full. We got to a satisfactory conclusion in the end, but this feels like a way to prey on less savvy customers.

    Poor delivery and thieving practices aside, just a crap newspaper overall. Bad reporting and editing, poor story selection, and totally amateurish staff. But yes, terrible fulfillment and a customer service staff that lacks ANY indication of competence.

    We are Morning Call clients for over 10 years. We live in the country and get the paper in a green plastic Morning Call tube on a separate post next to our mailbox, as did the previous owner of our property. We had great service up until this past Saturday/Sunday. New delivery person ? Sunday the papers were in a single bag on the edge of the road - wet. Monday - thrown in the yard (snow) - wet. Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday- no paper. Called customer service - 4 times in 3 days - talking to India (!) - polite but very difficult to understand. Promised delivery later in the day - did not happen.Then told us we would get a call back - did not happen. Now why should we care about the Tribune Publishers/ Morning Call going down the drain - we’re charged $ 3.00 + a day and get absolutely no customer service, lip service from a country across the world, and “voodoo” billing Sterling M

    Called over a week ago, I signed up for a six month one dollar trial online and they certainly decided to charge me $20. I was promised to refund over a week ago and of course I’ve seen nothing.
