Lisa was our cashier at Giant in Warminster. She was pleasant and helpful. A product we were buying did not have a bar code. She called over a fellow employee, also named Lisa who found the product to be out of date. The 2nd Lisa went and retrieved another one and checked us out. They were so pleasant and helpful. Left us feeling happy about our experience.

I was overcharged. When I was refunded, I was not refunded the tax. (This was on a taxable item). When contacting corporate, I was told a manager would be contacting me and they never did. So, I contacted corporate again and they could not help me. Seems like tax fraud to me.

This is about Giant Food and specifically the store at **** ********* *** ** *********** DC 20016. Today is 10/5/22, the escalators are both broken, as is normal for this store. Carts are in front of the garage exit, blocking access to the stairs and down escalators. There are no smaller carts available but plenty of very large ones. The Giant has multiple signs with very small print where one must buy two or more but only in fine print! Cokes are an example! Finally, stop asking me to round up and give Giant money. I do not trust that Giant is economical, and Giant does not provide where the money goes. I should not have to decline. This store is terrible, one of the worst if not the worst in DC!

I have been shopping at the Giant, ***** ***** ******* ** ***** ** for almost 30 years. I recognize that Covid, supply chain, and staffing shortages have been difficult to deal with. I have continued to shop there because it is more efficient to shop where I know where everything is located. However, if I wanted to work at Giant, I would get a job there. After I have worked my job all day, I do not have any desire to scan and bag a large, full cart of groceries. There wasn’t a single register staffed. Several of the self scan stations were closed and there was a line. The individual who was supposed to observe the self Scan area was so busy on her phone that customers could easily skip scanning items and she would have no idea. Not Only do I work full time but I had just completed my 6th chemo treatment today. I had no desire to scan and bag all of my groceries. if I’m going to order on-line and pick up to avoid scanning and bagging, I can go to another store. I’m done shopping at this or any other Giant.

Tonight I attended the store on ***** ***** ****** **** California, MD in search of cherries. Yes, you read correctly - cherries. I was so glad to see that Giant had them. Unfortunately - some 5 or little more leftover bags with leftover cherries - 3 times pulled the bag and put it back.. Suddenly I heard the voice : " Ma'am, here, I brought the boxes of more cherries and they are fresh" . There was an employee whose job Nr.1 was not to check on old ladies with glasses on the tip of their noses, who are picky to find what they want. I looked at his name tag and made sure I will memorize this sweet and caring employee- DAVAWN. I bought whole 5 packs of cherries, they were sooo good. All evening I was thinking of this wonderful young gentlemen who went above and beyond, smiley and polite. Thank you Giant for having Mr. Davawn, I wish we had more employees like this young man.

Giant Foods in Hyattsville, MD sold a pack of steaks this week (Week of May 17th, 2022) that expired on March 30th, 2022. How is this possible? Please implement better controls for expired meat. Thank you.
