I recently purchased a car from this company and I assumed I was getting a quality car at a fair price. I was extremely disappointed. By the time I got home and washed the car there were spots on the car I thought we're just dirt but I found paint chips all over the car! With further inspection I found molding that had become unattached apparently on the way home. The trunk started to rattle and when I got out to check on it I noticed a tear in the molding that seals the trunk also noticed that some of the molding around the outside of the car became unattached. There were pieces missing therefore the molding would not snap back into place. I purchased a 2017 Murano that looked good when me and a friend walked around it and drove a short distance at the dealership but by the time I got the car home and weeks after problems mounted including technical issues like " gas cap not on". Which was not the case. Other technical issues kept popping up but then went away so I never know whether to trust anything the dashboard tells me. The car dealer ship said they would fix the chips...??? I can't imagine that going well if only spot painting the car. Anyway I'm STUCK with this very questionable car, very unsatisfied!!!!CarShop

We are happy that we were able to meet with and resolve Ms. ******** concerns. Several items were taken care of on the spot and an appointment has been made to address other items that were promised at the time of the sale. She left CarShop feeling satisfied that her concerns were properly addressed. We look forward to continuing to service her vehicle needs in the future.Review fromRoy K

1 starSold my 2021 *** to Carshop made an offer on our car which I accepted. On 10/14 we completed the paperwork and Carshop took the car. They said they would have the check on Wednesday 10/16. I called on 10/17, they said no one is in to sign the checks so call back on Monday 10/21. I think they are playing games.Review fromJeffery C

Responded to an online inquiry to sell my vehicle to them. I am close to retirement and just don't need 4 cars. They sent me the preliminary offer that was not too bad. They contacted me and wanted multiple pictures of the vehicle. I just had it detailed and took 16 or so pictures and sent them. They then dropped their offer thousands of dollars offering $7500 for a 2020 VW Passat SE with 103 K mile on it. For comparison I sold my vehicle to a regional large dealership for $ ******. A few hundred off maybe but $4300 (Over 36%)?? And the pictures showed a very nice clean vehicle interior and exterior. Very questionable ethics. ******CarShop

Mr. ******* we appreciate you contacting CarShop for your sell car inquiry. We pride ourselves on being fair and transparent in everything we do, and we understand that you may be disappointed with the offer you received. Our appraisal process considers various factors to determine the vehicles value, including the CARFAX report, which revealed that your vehicle had been involved in an accident. Additionally, the higher mileage and model year of your car also influenced our offer. If we can be of further assistance, please feel free to reach out. 1 starI tried to buy a vehicle from out of state. Said I would pay 300$ to transfer a vehicle, and put a 500$ down payment so they would hold the vehicle 3 days for me. They said they would gladly take my money, but not hold the vehicle while I arranged transportation from out of state. The told me the money would be nonrefundable, so I didn't pay. Glad I didn't because the vehicle sold before I could have gotten there. And now they won't leave me alone, and are begging me to buy a different car.Review fromBob E

1 starWe brought our 2012 ***** Civic to CarShop in ********************** for state inspection on 5/10/2024. The vehicle passed inspection, but they recommended replacing a wheel bearing. This was completed on 5/14/2024. The cost was $667. Two days later, on 5/16/2024, my son drove the vehicle from Pennsylvania to ******** for a college internship. While driving on the turnpike, he heard a noise under the car. He pulled over on the highway and saw the splash guard came loose and was dragging. He had to secure it to the vehicle with ropes to continue driving. He stopped in **********, where a friend helped him secure it better so it wouldn't fall on the way to ********. When we called the CarShop service department the manager refused to offer a solution saying it wasn't their fault. It seems obvious that the mechanic that put the splash guard on the car did not secure it. This could have resulted in a dangerous situation for my son and others on the turnpike if the splashguard fell off while he was driving. We should be offered at minimum a $667 refund for their negligence. We have bought three cars from CarShop but will not be returning.Review fromGinger K

There is a reason why I dislike what this dealers is doing. 1. They lied to me about the price 2. They lied about my warranty for my transmission to be fixed.3.They don't answers our phone calls only if it's time for making payments.4. There is no way we can see them in person cause they close down their business where I lived. Probably out off business And yea they lied about their names when we call and it's names changes every called we make. Today we talk to a person name ***** then tomorrow I called back they said they don't have anybody with that names.5 5. I help them a lot with customers but too much lies.6. Bought the care test drive it it sound like it's okay 2 weeks later it started to break down. TRANSMISSION, WIPERS,ENGINE,LIGHTS,AND ETC...CarShop

At CarShop we pride ourselves on being fair and transparent and would like to better understand your concerns. However, we are unable to locate your customer information in our systems. Your zip code is in the state of ********** and CarShop does not have any locations outside of Pennsylvania and **********. Perhaps youve confused our business with another? If you could please provide us some more detailed information on your vehicle, purchase location, date of purchase, etc., we can dive a little further into your issues that were raised. 1 starThe first car I owned was a VW Passat 2008. When it was totaled I was paid out in the amount of *****. I wanted to pick something practical and reliable. So when I seen a Buick Verano for ****** I thought to myself this is safe. Little did I know that it came with engine problems. Not even 2 months later an engine light came on and I called the dealership and took it to get serviced but then 3 months after that the engine light came on again. They did not offer to switch it out. Since 2021 it has been sitting in a driveway while Im making payments and have all the paper work to show Ive taken care of it since Ive owned it. I had even paid out of pocket to get it serviced as far as under the hood. At this point Id like to return it or trade it in as is. Which also was not offered. Had a I known about lemon laws I would have done something sooner.Review fromAmy H

Do not buy from here! I bought a car 3 months ago and in that time period, I've had to replace the battery and now the check engine light is on. When I called, I was told too bad, you didn't buy the extended warranty. The car only has ****** miles on it and I've only driven ***** of those miles. They don't certify their cars and I'm not even sure they did an inspection. They are a scam!CarShop

************,CarShop offers two vehicle categories: CarShop Certified, for vehicles under 4 years old and less than ****** miles, and CarShop Select, for those vehicles exceeding either threshold. Your 2017 MKC, purchased on March 22, 2024, falls under CarShop Select meaning it passed a state inspection and included a complimentary 3-month/3,000-mile limited powertrain warranty. At the time of purchase, we presented an option to extend mechanical coverage beyond the initial warranty, which you declined. The vehicle has not returned to CarShop for service since your purchase and you canceled the scheduled service appointment for June 18, 2024. We remain eager to inspect your vehicle and determine the cause of the engine light issue. Thank you.Review fromTracy U

I bought a car the beginning of December 2023. I had the car two weeks and the entire exhaust system was rusted and had to be replaced. Keep in mind I did t even make my first car payment yet. They gave me a loaner car that was out of inspection!!!! Did they not see that too!! I then had to waste 2 days , drove there and back four times. Wasted my time and my gas. These people are schisters!!!! I would NEVER get anything from them. My next call will be to a lawyer. PEOPLE BEWARE!!!!!!CarShop

To whom it may concern, Tracy U**** purchased a 2018 Buick Encore from CarShop Glen Mills on 12/1/2023. At time of purchase, the customer was provided a 3 month/3,000 mile powertrain warranty through CarShop. On 1/3/2024 she brought the vehicle in for a loud exhaust noise. During the diagnostic check, our technician found the exhaust system needed to be repaired. It was sent to a third-party vendor who specializes in this type of repair. As a convenience to the customer, we provided Ms. U**** with a loaner vehicle while the repair was being completed. She brought to our attention that the inspection sticker was expired for the loaner vehicle. We immediately brought the vehicle in to address the issue and updated the inspection stickers. Upon completion of the exhaust repair, Ms. U**** picked up her vehicle and returned the loaner on 1/13/2024. All repairs were done at no charge to the customer under our 3 month/3,000 mile CarShop powertrain warranty. We appreciate Ms. U**** bringing her concerns to our attention. All issues have been resolved. Going forward, should Ms. U**** have any concerns, she can contact CarShop Glen Mills directly for the fastest possible assistance.Review fromMarcia W

2 starsBought a Nissan murano from Robinson. Several months later during an oil change at a different place I find out that the exhaust muffler is rusted and cracked and needed replaced. I was terrified to drive and had the oil change place do the repair. That was an item on car shop check off list that was marked as being checked. Now I’m out close to $1k. Have someone else go over the check list or don’t buy from them. I contacted them months ago and they have not responded.
