1 starIt was 8:55pm with the store closing and customers running in and out trying to complete last minute shopping. As customers walked outside, multiple shoppers were carrying their bought items as they walk by **** and ***. *** is the store manager and as I walked by she stopped me and asked if she can see my receipt. I was taken back as multiple other customers walked by me carrying their items from the store without being checked. I asked her why was I the only one that was single out in this check? She only answered that if I didnt let her see the receipt she would call the police. I asked her to because this was ridiculous and obviously a discriminating situation. I am of a Chinese ethnic background and was the only one stopped, she couldnt give me a real answer and as I stood there and waited for the police to arrive, she stated that she would just check the system inside instead. 1 starI ordered a set of ******** boards as a gift. When the boards arrived, the box was severely damaged to the extent that the boards inside were damaged. The wood was chipped away and the paint taken off. I have spent around two hours now across several days chatting with their customer service. They will only offer a $5 coupon on a future purchase which after a lot of back and forth has lead to an increase of $30 coupon on a future purchase. It has been very unsettling that they will not help correct this purchase. My only options given are to drive it to a physical Dick's store or ****** There is no effort to assist me in correcting this ****** pickup or a deep discount to keep the damaged product). I was even told by customer service they hoped I figured out a way to resolve my issue (without their assistance). I have never experienced a company not willing to help their customer on a product purchased. It is not my issue that it was damaged in shipping. Dick's should be working with ***** on resolving that...not leaving to me to figure out. I will never purchase again from Dick's and will do everything I can to help others know their process if an issue arises.Review fromSteven B

1 starFelt since been loyal customer company shouldve known me been an athlete to Special Olympics so dont feel all of their stores treat whomever fairly with handicaps wanted to do whatever to doing amazingly of locations so felt if came back to *************** ******* locations wouldve been arrested so not only of their locations national *** locations shouldnt act like any shoe company if they joined with **** shoe HQ of ****** state to not help whomever is a loyal customers that come whatever countries to been whatever athletes so why would whomever of ******* of *************** areas of ********* say myself being enthusiastic doing whatever amazing to being a loyal consumer to aid me whatever else perfectly in good tones of acting professionally to world citizens are they all store employees loving, & kind always, or just stressed out, & tired to not assist anyone to whomever is disabled so if whomever is loyal customers to ****************************************************************** locations why than say unfairly cruel to talk unfairly to demand doing whatever nasty to all world citizens to say you all citizens boycott the locations for their owners of HQ of ** to know they could lose customers not coming no longer to all stores for now on . To threaten a disabled customer to wanted to assist me with whatever amazing to do well at stores of Dicks sporting goods to call me liar me pretending to been athlete ya right was in fact athlete of Special Olympics plus disabled customer, & was treated poorly, & highly you all Public citizens boycott not doing any business with Dicks sporting goods stores *** states of 49 locations. Company, & their employees need **************** to loving all world citizens yearly so calling police on whomever is wrong Dicks store manager name ******** ***** did cruel she should lose her store manager position to been a bad influence to threaten to call police on me bad experiences past to current never went since three years ago of 2022 happened also to present 2025. 1 starMade an online order for a Sole F85 Treadmill, they charged me 2658 for it, specifying this was estimated shipping of 250 including assembly and estimated tax of 108. Next day, credit card company flags a second order of 103 from Dick's and restricts my card. I did not get an email or a call from Dick's about this. I assumed this was fraud and was about to cancel my card, when I decided to just call Dick's to confirm. They said that the actual tax was 211 and not 108 and that the original number was 'estimated'. I told them that this was fraud, and they did not respond to that, just said they were sorry. I asked for the full refund, which they said they would process. Be aware of comparing online prices with Dick's vs other companies. I don't know whether legally this is fraud, but it sure is fraud from a consumer point of view. I did tell them that they should talk to their organization about this and inform them so they could correct it and that I would report it to the BBB.Review fromGemarie P

1 starI ordered and paid for a product online, part of the order was shipped. Several weeks later, I got an email saying they were canceling my order and were unable to fulfill the rest of my order. I did receive a refund, but I'm just sorry for selling you a product that I didn't have. It is not the way to do business. As the merchant, your expectation is for consumers to pay for the products you offer; as a consumer, we expect you to provide that product you say you have. We need more consumer rights in situations like this, which are just unfair business practices.Review fromRobert M

1 starI order two stealth 2 hybrids online for my birthday. I received the first one perfectly. The second that I received was the wrong club, the wrong head cover, and the head of the club had a chip on it. **************** claimed that the store I was returning it to had 5 in stock to exchange it with. The store had zero in stock and none in the system anywhere. I received a gift card for the value of the item. This will be the absolute last online order with Dicks. The was no care given with the club I received wrong. Very obvious things that were overlooked when this club was sent. Stealth 2 club with a sim 2 head cover. The club was supposed to be a 3 and was a 4, and the chip on the head of the club. Whoever packaged this item had no regard for what the customer was receiving. Multiple obvious things that were wrong. I did not expect such poor service from Dicks. This encounter has completely changed my mind of Dicks as a whole.Review fromMary C

1 starI purchased a pair of sneakers and wore them 2 - 3 times and they were too big. I called the store and was told, depending on how they looked, that I would be able to return them. Meanwhile, I took the shoes back and the kid didn't even look at the shoes and just told me that people probably wouldn't want to wear another person's shoes so we can't take them back.Review fromShelby G

1 starTHIS IS FOR THE MUNCIE LOCATION. Their GM is having sexual relations with an associate. Has repeatedly showed favoritism to said employee (giving significant OT while other associates are begging for hours). Has sent inappropriate pictures to another associate. Seasonal employee (*****) as openly admitted to buying her lunch in order to keep seasonal position. Has already been investigated but was able to continue to work while another employee has been suspended without pay in order to investigate and terminate. Said employee has repeatedly filed complaints with HR as he is feeling like he is being targeted and retaliated against due to HR reports. Employee was skipped over for promotion due to said retaliation (but was excused as having being written up for something that was already addressed and had happened a month prior). New assistant GM has repeatedly left safe open along with office unlocked during business hours. MULTIPLE HR REPORTS HAVE BEEN FILED **** NO OUTCOME.Review fromTom W

1 starDicks worst customer service. I just got ripped off $150 on a gift card. It got used on their website fraudulently but I m out 150. Told me they werent responsible because it was bought at meijers. Beware if you buy cards anywhere but directly from websites dont even deserve one star
