Today, I received alerts from Transunion and Equifax that this company placed a collection account on my credit file in the amount of $757.00 from the Bank of Missouri. According to my credit report it was assigned in November 2023- and the last activity on the account was February 2022. I have no idea what this account is, and I never received any written communication from this company allowing me the opportunity to dispute this debt, prior to it being entered on my credit report. As I have no idea what it is, and no idea how they arrived at a balance of $757.00. I would like this trade line deleted from all of my credit reports immediately.Business Response

I'm not sure what medical bill is this for or if it is my medical bill. I have insurance and have always had insurance. I should not have received a bill this high for no services unless it was surgery or something. I have not had any surgery...just a basic doctor's appointment. I believe that this bill was never processed with my insurance at the time which should have been Humana. The No Surprises Act is a legislation that provides patients with protection from surprise medical bills under certain circumstances. It also mandates transparency regarding healthcare costs and holds patients liable for in-network cost-sharing amounts only 123. The Act aims to limit the amount you pay out of pocket to a level closer to what you would pay if the healthcare provider were in-network 4. The Act also establishes an independent dispute resolution process for payment disputes between plans and providers 3. You can find more information about the No Surprises Act and how it affects you on the CMS website 1.Business Response

I am in a payment plan with upmc, which includes a Dr visit for $222.00. The debt collections sent a letter asking if I have paid it or did I still need to pay it. They keep calling me even though this issue is already being taken care of. I would like them to stop calling me.Business Response

On 12/21/2023 I received a collection alert from Credit Karma showing a new collection from this unprofessional collection agency and I inquired about this collection. I was told it was for a claim on 12/31/2019 from First Tx hospital which is an urgent care facility not an hospital. Upon further review, and speaking to United Healthcare Rep the claim was sent by the provider 4 years ago but UHC never received a bill and stated the provider never responded to the claim. However 4 years later it is placed on my credit report and I am not responsible for the bill and UHC stated it is their responsibility. Both myself and UHC spoke to Credit Mgmt rep on 12/22/2023 to resolve this issue while on a recorded call and UHC distinctly stated to the Rep that the $668 owed is their responsibility and to allow 30-45 days for the payment to process for the balance owed. Ref # *************** was provided to the Rep. Again, UHC repeatedly stated the $668 bill IS NOT MY RESPONSIBILITY and they NEED TO REMOVE THIS COLLECTION from ALL THREE CREDIT BUREAUS IMMEDIATELY!Customer Answer

Better Business Bureau:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********* and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
I was NEVER responsible for the bill in the first place. Please seet the attached EOB from United Healthcare. The responsibility was on United Healthcare and furthermore the claim was PAID IN FULL on 1/22/2020 by United Healthcare. Therefore, the money was received and there was NO REASON to place this debt that I was NEVER responsible for on all three credit bureaus. I am requesting that the erroneous debt be REMOVED FROM ALL THREE CREDIT BUREAU immediately and my credit score rescored back to 21 points that was dropped because of their greed and not checking their facts before screwing up a persons credit.I have nothing else to say to these money hungry people.
Thank you.

I received a letter dated 10/30/23 from CMC saying they are a debt collector and I owe a debt to UMMS Ambulatory Care - reference ********** I called numerous times and have not received a call back. I emailed them on 11/8 and have not received a response. I do not know what this is for and I am beyond frustrated.
