      Youre terrible insurance company wont cover any co-pays and then rips you off at the pharmacy

      Avoid this "insurer" at all costs. Scammer is a more accurate description. Purchased a plan via ****** (PA's insurance marketplace). Before, during and after selecting a plan, Highmark's website indicated my doctor and her practice (*** ******) were in-network. In-network until a claim is submitted - all claims denied as out-of-network and no explanation given. Customer service is non-existent. Have complained to the state about the fraudulent bait and switch tactics and theft of premiums for a worthless insurance plan. A plan that only seems to ensure profits for Highmark. You can read the one star rating as zero stars.

      Lousy insurance for prescriptions! Have a letter stating dates of coverage for medication and they just stopped covering it within those dates without even notifying me! I only found out when I tried to refill. So now i guess I just have to stop cokd turkey! Very unhappy!!!!

      Our employer switched to highmark last year and it has been awful. We hardly use it and it denies everything. One of us had an injury and the Dr requested a ct scan and they denied it. Last year one of us had an endoscopy and they denied it. We haven't used it since. Ordered routine bloodwork for my husband through walk in ******* as self pay because it was actually cheaper and not worth the hassle of highmark. We use the fsa and while they haven't this year, last year they kept cutting us off from our own money. When I have called them, about denials, I get sent to another country and nothing gets resolved. I don't even understand how this is legal for health insurance companies to just deny everything and leave us no way of resolving it. The amount of time involved to try to get a claim resolved is unacceptable. I wish we qualified for ********* I'd rather pay for that because we might as well light a match to the money we use to pay highmark premiums it is so useless

      Worst customer ********************** Ive ever dealt with. Ive had 3 separate member services supervisors completely lie to **** was randomly dropped even after paying all my premiums through auto pay. One supervisor told me I would be reinstated. Then two weeks later another told me I wouldnt be, but that I would get a refund and be able to join a new plan. Now today Ive been on hold with another bozo supervisor for over 2 hours, that claims I cant get a new plan and that I will only get half my refund. Im still waiting for this supervisor to simply get me his higher *** contact but he refuses to. Claims he speaks to the owner of Highmark itself. Someone needs to review these supervisors calls immediately.Stay far away from this circus.

      they are the worst company and literally took my money and then cancelled my insurance. Customer service is the worst as well. They all say the same thing. Sorry for the inconvenience Approved a cat scan and then denied payment. I would never recommend them to anyone

      I made a premium payment which was deducted from my bank and Highmark did not apply the payment to my account. I had Highmark investigate and search for this payment which was an 8 month process which required me to send many bank documents and repeatedly the same ones. However they were never able to locate it so I had to make an additional premium payment for that month. So for that month my premium payment was double what it should have been. The billing department is unreliable and does not function accurately. I did file a grievance.

      Horrible ins. co .Has gotten very bad last 6 months may have to do with all of their employees that they have let go in the last year .They are denying here and there and hope you dont catch it,by the time they fix it bills are in collections.Maybe thats why they are making record profits.

      Beware this company does not care about customer service and is very misleading in their advertising. I purchased a health plan from Highmark and they haven’t stuck to their original policy the policy I purchased said $0 generic drugs and every time I’ve gone to the pharmacy and checking with them that the drugs are generic I have to had to pay. This is very deceptive and feels fraudulent. I also tried to get an explanation as to why I’ve had to pay and have gotten zero answers after waiting on hold for over an hour the call just hung up and after calling back and waiting another hour I still was unable to get an answer from Highmark. I feel sorry for anyone else who is having to deal with this

      When you get disrespected and tell them what they are doing isn't right and hang up on you 4 times. The manager *********************** up on me 3 times, made me cry when I kept asking for a different manager he told me NO . I asked to cancel my coverage he told me NO. I got it canceled and after the lady was done talking to me he got on the phone . I hung up. He called back and I said if you call me one more time it's harassment. He tried to call me back twice then had a member named ****** call me. I said I had already canceled and that I'm reporting them he hung up immediately. This is supposed to be a MEDICAL INSURANCE and they treat people like this? This is not okay. They are supposed to be helping hundreds of people and this is the way they treat them?
