I've BEEN and KEEP receiving unsolicited mail from this company. I've asked nicely, then I got to the point where I was having to MF Mr. ****** (on 2/7/25) via social media because these folks DO NOT quit! He laughed because it's not you that's it's happening to, and my anger is funny, huh? Today, 2/14/25 I received a "Valentines Day" event flyer that Ms. ******* the office manager, said had already gone out and that's why I received it. I started off speaking politely to Ms. **** and after they don't like the answer I give them; they dish the attitude right back! CLASSY! Ms. ****** was another one who wanted to get snippy on the phone after I have to yell and swear for again, these folks to get the message! The first words out of Ms. ******** ****** mouth were, "Why do you care if you get this mail or not?!" BECAUSE IT'S UNSOLICITED - I NEVER ASKED FOR THIS MAIL AND I'VE KICKED AND SCREAMED TO BE TAKEN OFF! I can only imagine how you folks are with clients, oh wait, I've dealt with you! Weather the list is generated or word of mouth, take my name / address / "current owner" OFF!!!!

They dug out a hole and put a for rent sign at my property. They evidently had the wrong address. The post still had wet paint on it when I saw what theyd done. I called their office and the lady on the phone was useless.

WARNING. Please if you are considering using this particular company to manage your rental property ASK questions on their screening process for perspective tenants! We had perspective tenants come to us to rent/purchase our property. We hired Berkshire due to a referral and having no first hand knowledge of what to do. We dealt with a high level experienced person at this company and never dreamed a thorough screening would not be completed. The only problem brought to our attention by Berkshire AND that was told to us by the potential tenants was their credit score was not where it should be to be accepted by Berkshire. We agreed to still accept the tenants since there appeared to be reasonable explanations for this and NOTHING else was told to us from their rental application that would be a red flag. Unbeknownst to us, through the signing of the management agreement and lease agreement this person put a release of any liability that we signed along with many pages over a computer and were never given a copy of. Two months later after the tenants stopped paying we found out through family checking on a FREE Pa Justice website that these individuals had many previous landlord tenant evictions and owed thousands of dollars. Berkshire’s representative claimed all along that they stand behind their work and if anything was done wrong they would cover it. Don’t believe it. The “tenants” left us with over $12,000 in losses and even though we paid for mediation in which Berkshire offered $1,000 to which even the mediator offered to revisit in 48 hours at no extra cost to try to help us reach a better settlement and after court at which Berkshire said we signed a release so the judge ruled for them… they DO NOT stand behind their word and DEFINITIVELY do not properly screen tenants. Yes, we signed a release. Lesson learned. You basically can’t trust anyone to stand by their word/company policy. PLEASE DO BETTER THAN WE DID!! Read every word and ASK QUESTIONS!!
