Sold my 2023 Honda Odyssey Touring with under 18K miles and was going to downsize to a BRAND new suv with cash. I was sold a demo model with almost 300 miles which I did not ask for and didn’t even realize the mileage. After papers signed and showing payoff, I sent text ne t day to salesman and asked if I could bring back and get my van. Oh you will get used to it. I said I wanted my van which was within 72 hours. Then having been discouraged from that, I received a call 4 days later that I owed them more money and my payoff was wrong, I apparently had a new salesman I was told who did not include 15 day payoff apparently that is required. I proceeded to call my finance company who told me I was being scammed and to demand my van back. I did and was told to come up there and then told no, it was a done deal, yada yada they would “eat” the money. After such poorly handled sale, I just want my van and my money back. Meeting supposedly with GM today. I tried to get my van back. I just feel like this was just an entire BAD experience, cover up and miscommunication. Will update.

Dear Better Business Bureau, Thank you for giving us the opportunity to respond to Ms. ******* concerns. We take all customer feedback seriously and strive to conduct business with honesty and transparency at all times. Regarding the scheduling of the meeting, Ms. ***** and I originally agreed to meet at 11:00 AM on October 9, 2024, at Piedmont Honda. However, she rescheduled twice, first to 3:00 PM and then to 3:30 PM on the same day. We accommodated these changes to ensure we could address any concerns she had. Concerning the allegations of scamming, I would like to clarify the situation regarding the payoff amount. Bank loans accrue daily interest, which can vary depending on the loan terms. In some cases, the interest may only amount to a few dollars, but in others, it can be as much as $20-$25 per day. The payoff amount we received from Ms. ******* financial institution was short of what was owed, meaning there was still a balance due. Despite this, Ms. ***** refused to cover the difference, and in the spirit of good customer service, Piedmont Honda paid the remaining balance on her behalf. Regarding the mileage on the vehicle, I reviewed our video footage and clearly stated the mileage before any paperwork was finalized. The vehicle in question was not a demo vehicle; it was transferred from another dealership, as is common practice in the industry. Additionally, Ms. ***** left the dealership to visit ***** ***** Bank in her trade-in vehicle, a van and returned with a cashier's check to complete the transaction. Based on my review of the entire transaction, I believe Ms. ***** regretted her purchase after the fact. However, I can confidently state that Piedmont Honda acted in good faith and conducted this transaction with complete honesty and integrity. To resolve this matter, I have attempted to follow up with Ms. ***** by phone and left her a message inviting her back to the dealership to review the details of the transaction together. We are committed to ensuring that all of our customers feel satisfied and valued, and I hope to have the opportunity to clarify any further concerns with Ms. ***** directly. Sincerely, Lance C***** General Manager Piedmont Honda

Purchased my truck about two weeks ago, Nice truck with only 47,000 miles. After ordering some running boards and went to install them noticed rust under the frame. Called to ask if we could come to a agreement to fix the issue which was $400. When I called and spoke with the sales manager I was informed " I should've crawled under the truck on the lot and inspected it before purchasing and that the car fax showed where the truck came from, and you should always expect rust from vehicles up North, Myrtle beach and Florida. I understand that to and extent but mind you this vehicle only has 47,000 miles and is exceptionally clean. This issue could've been resolved but instead I was told you should " expect to spend around $800 after purchasing a used vehicle and would I have called an individual if it was sold person to person. Well not at all because I would have taken it to a trusted mechanic and had it thoroughly inspected. Needless to say I do not recommend them after this interaction. Pretty much was told in a nutshell it's yours now deal with it. Made me feel very unappreciative of my business.
