Called their 800 number. Not impressed. Then E-mailed. Got a ridiculous reply that I could "Drain and rinse their butter beans to remove 60% to 70% of the salt" This is impossible to do with their butter beans. I emailed back I was not going to purchase anything from them again. I got a smart a** response to "Have a Nice Day" Steer clear. They will not stand behind the "food" they sell.

Purchased McCalls Farms Allens brand Medium Green ***** 6 cans for our household. Upon usage the beans were a mixture of mushy white ***** with a few green ***** thrown in. Bout 98% white mushies, threw out the first can opened another with same results. Not tasty at all just a mushy mess. Contacted McCalls via website requesting refund for the 6 cans with proof of purchase later emailed as requested, receipt, can data and pictures of the defective product. Disappointingly we received three one can coupons instead of requested refund totaling $8.28. I read below in another complaint that this is their standard send a few coupons rather than refund. Not acceptable whatsoever. So done with all their brands now. Capt. ****************

My girlfriend purchased a **** ounce can of seasoned fried apples. She bit into them and the second bite she took had glass in it. I'm not sure what action we should take to ensure this doesn't happen again.

Purchased a 25 oz can of boiled peanuts. Upon opening the can I found a stick in the can. I threw out the can and sent an email to the address for customer service on the can, only to get an email stating they are no longer handling concern via email and provided me with a few websites for their products. First of all they are misrepresenting their customer service policy on their products. Secondly as I submitted a claim on the website I was not allowed to send pictures of my findings. This issue could have been a huge choking hazard. I would like a full refund of my product but as they are misrepresenting their contact information on the product I'm afraid this will not happen.

I have researched this consumer complaint and Ms. ****** was entered into our system on 1/21/22. She was able to provide photos when she contacted our customer service call center, information that is also on our can label. She has been contacted and compensated and this incident is closed as resolved.

I was never contacted by anyone from this company. On 2/08/2022, I received a coupon for a free can. I would have preferred to be refunded if someone would have bothered to email or phone. It's not worth the trouble, just refuse to buy the products in the future.
