  Two years ago, we signed an agreement with Charles B******* to have some renovations done to our home. We wanted a garage, an additional room off from the living room, and a closet/office space off from our bedroom. He said he could do the job and would have some plans drawn out for us, First of all, this was our first time having a massive project like this done to our home. Second, we should have known something was wrong since he did not come back with plans drawn for our home. He built a pavilion in our backyard with unstable polls instead of using 2x4s. When the wind blew, the entire roof swayed. Eventually, we had to get someone to fix that and enclose part of it as a work building for my husband. The garage was built with the wrong size of wood, and he did not make it finished. He told us at the end of the project that we never mentioned finished and that it would cost extra for unfinished. He destroyed our fireplace, assuming we didn't need it anymore. He left our yard in a total mess, leaving debris and other material. We figured out he was overcharging us to fix someone else's home. He kept increasing the price as the project continued and charged us for a beam at $10K. The garage roof was redone, which cost more money when we hired someone to redo it, and other repairs needed to be made because of his lack of expertise. I thought we found someone who had our best interests at heart, but what he did was scam my husband and me. We were mourning the loss of our son, and he took advantage of us. He also had a check sent to our house from ******, and we believe that was our money or refund that he had sent to our house. I would never let this man touch anything in and outside the home. We have receipts to prove that he scammed us out of money and destroyed our home in the process.
