I am a widow. My husband purchased solar panels from Design 1 Group. Which were finance through a company by the the name of Solar Mosaic, Inc. the original creditor. And since husband passing this creditor has sued the Estate of my deceased husband for ridiculous amount of money. The estate is being sued by Simm Associates , Inc. The panels were installed on the rooftop of our home. We have suffered damage from the installment of the panels. Which has caused me costly repairs (water leakage) to the inside of our home. Panels that were installed has no usage for the purpose of which it was purchased (decreasing electric bill). Since I have had the TVA and Florence electric company, to check panels connections to insure that power was being feed. Upon the finding from company panels were not generating any power due to faulty wiring. Company did a disconnect said this could cause a fire hazard. I have tried to reach out to Design 1 Group only to find out the business is no longer in operation. I need help with this matter and would not what anyone else to be a victim of such a scam.

The worst company I have ever dealt with. I would like to meet the 5 star reviews on here in person or see their installation because there is no way they have done a fantastic job at my house. Going on 2.5 years and no resolution and I still can’t get to owner to contact me. Panels do now work. Loan payment in default.

During the install they were very easy to work with but after the install was complete and the system was certified they no longer respond to any communication and they main number doesn't work, no response to my emails. Had a microinverter stop working and could not get to respond, fortunately Enphase, the equipment brand, quickly help get me a replacement. Still have a hole in my wall from the install.

Bad experience with them! They put up the panels last year and said they were consuming and producing, my electric bill has been the same for the last year. It has not cut my electric bill by 75%. I am to make my first payment this month and I refused to do so. Please do not go with this company. No technicians or code engineers has been out to change out the meter. Sure it’s working on their behalf but not mine.

We had solar panels installed by design 1 group. We never got our batteries and now that the panels are installed our electric bill is higher than before the panels.

Where do I start? On a positive the receptionists are nice at first when they answered, but everything else about the customer service is absolutely horrible. It took over a year to get my panels installed when I was promised it would be within 5 weeks of Dec 2021. I and still sitting here paying each month a monthly payment that even raised because I was not able to pay on the loan to keep the payment lower after a period of time. I still have a full electric bill and the solar bill. I have not gained anything from this experience at all. My panels are now connected to the grid. My panels are making power but the power is wasted each day for over 2 summers. My panels sit there daily degrading their life while I got nothing out of them until Oct 2023. In PA we don’t have 12 months of full sun so I have now missed out on two summers of making power while paying for both electric and solar panels… I have called over 75 times and most of the time they screen my call and not answer it. I have called it from another line minutes later and someone answers.. If they actually answer the phone I get tons of false promises and never get phone calls back.. There are a few good people that work there and most issues is above their rank in the company. They promised that I would be producing 72% more efficient. False. My electric bill went down less than 5 dollars. There is always time to make the situation better and try to understand that businesses are busy they don’t seem to care to truly resolve the situation. What happened to good customer service in this country..

They will lie about everything No consumer correspondence. Work is very shoty.. By the way there is no way those 5 start reviews are from customers. Worse company ever
