1 starOn 5/8/2025,11:10 am I went to Dollar General to use their money transfer service. While I was at the customer service area, I inquired about the service I needed, but the employee responded in a condescending manner. Without warning, she left me standing in front of her and attended to the person behind me in line, without even asking for my permission or addressing me politely. When I asked why I was being ignored, she didn’t respond. I requested her name to communicate with the store manager, but she dismissively replied that she didn't know. I took it upon myself to find another employee who could direct me to the manager on duty, and I was given the name Aissa. I contacted her, and she mentioned that she would arrive at work after 1 PM. While I was still at the store, I overheard the manager questioning why customers were given my number, and I had to endure her unprofessional conversation. I left when I sensed that the store was chaotic, both from the staff and the management. After leaving, I contacted the manager again to inform her that I had heard her unprofessional discussion with her employees and to express my concerns about how customer issues were being handled.She hung up on me. The employees of Dollar General at 1800 County Road 427 A in Cleburne Texas are aggressive and threatening police on customers. One customer was banned for life because she asked a legitimate question. Then 2 different employees asked 2 different vehicles to stop and watch said customer while she was on her vehicle waiting for police. ****** * is one of the employees. Another incident and 80 year old man was threatened with police because he didn't have his ID. The employees refuse to come out of the office when customers are at the check out. Several employees are extremely under the influence and aggressive even when minors are present. The store is typically on the cluttered side with carts and boxes all over the store blocking aisles. I have emailed the store 4 times to speak with someone about being criminally trespassed Dollar General has made contact once with a voicemail saying to call them back and the district manager did not leave a call back number. Her name being ***** or ***** last name started with a *. This store is Not safe!Dollar General

When I first enter store their was no shopping carts. Two employees were standing up front and I ask them for a cart they just said we have no carts they all stolen. So I just assumed they had none. I saw several people with carts so they could said when someone checked out their be one available. I am 70 years old so clearly I could not shop without a cart. They look like they didn't care. So I had come to buy water and sodas. So i went into water aisle there was an employee with two cart of junk. So I ask her could I have an cart she reluctantly removed her stuff and gave me the cart with nasty look on her face. I told her I bring back in store be because of thefts. Which I did. Then I get home to find out price on lot their stuff is different than receipt. Over half items I got was different prices then what they advertised on sticker on shelf. They only person that was nice was the male cashier. Everyone else had attitude. They know this store is close to a lot people. Never will I step foot in there again.it should be against law to advertised one price on shelf and ring up something differently. I experience this before and let it slide by..Dollar General

Dollar general on 49th st in St. Petersburg fl will never go back again ask a question about an item cashier was so rude he said I had to wait till end of transaction which was ok but still gave me attitude when I asked about another item and then told me to leave I’ve never was told to leave a store in my life he barely spoke English and even manager was agreeing with him never againDollar General

There is rat holes in this place on top of fraudulent people running this store the shelves are nasty that they are serving food on it’s dusty boxes sitting in the middle of aisles they can never stay open or keep a worker ..and the managers are addicts running the worst dollar general on the east coast shut this location down immediately it’s a disgrace towards dollar generalDollar General

Item marked as $5 on the shelf rang up as $6 instead. When I brought it to the clerks attention, she had an attitude and said she couldn't help me. She called someone on the phone asking them to come to the store to help. What? You overcharged me AND can't give me my dollar back? Dollar general needs to be boycotted with this blatant robbery. It's a dollar that I worked for so give it back and do better!Dollar General

At Dollar General, we place a premium on customer service and upon receipt of this complaint we verified our district manager was able to reach out to our customer, apologize for her inconvenience, invite her back to the store for a price correction and assure her she would coach the store team on how to handle and like issues if they arise in the future. Dollar General is charging bottle deposit on a product that does not list Michigan as a state that is collecting deposits. I have brought this to their attention several times and there is no change. This is very unfair to the consumer and fraud. The product is a milk based product called”Rockin Protein Energy” drink.Dollar General

This business has sold me expired medication that I have been given my 6 week old child who has been experiencing gas issues. Didn’t think that the medication I purchased could be causing him to be more fussing, spilt up all of the Breast milk he had eaten as well as him screaming his head off because he is unable to go to the bathroom. I stopped giving it to him when I saw the expiration date on 04/08/25. The medication expired in February. I am fearful that my child has not been gaining weight like he should in result of this business selling expired medication. This should be a worry for the consumer as it is already nerve racking to be in that place anyways with stuff everywhere that is hazardous to walk around in and it’s disgusting. The staff is always poor there too and never seem to be anywhere but outside smoking. It’s ridiculous!!Dollar General

I only shop there on Saturdays to get the $5 off after I spend $25 or more. It shouldn't be an ordeal to get the discount. I've used paper coupons till the manager rigged the register to print out a previous date, making the coupon (reward for my purchase and shopping there through the week) unusable. I then used the app till I shopped on Saturday with $40 worth of goods, dog food, pepsi, and food. A new clerk checked me out and the system didn't prompt me to enter my phone number to use the app. She went to get help, but the manager was conducting an employee interview, on a freaking Saturday with a long line of customers??? He refused to help her. Too many times, I've been cheating out of the discount. Previously, it was a hit or miss if the coupons could be scanned, and he refused to help and enter the number. 1. you offer a discount and requirements are met, you need to make sure you honor them. I spent $40 and you didn 't care that I didn't the discount-the only reason I shop at YOUR store. 2. More than half of your pricing is not accurate. The register always rings up a higher price. 3. You left an inexperienced employee on Saturday with a long line of customers. Job interviews should never be held during busy hours and a new employee should never be left alone, not knowing what to do. No wonder this store has a real high turnover rate. 4.
