Purchased $11k worth of furniture through la-z-boy “custom design”. Waited a year before receipt, more expensive substitution on a rug, furniture arrives- year later- and it’s too much for the room. La-z-boy states all but one piece is a “special order” no return. Within a month the one piece non-special breaks down. 6 months later, several complaints, calls, voicemails, e-mails, web forms, etc., still no replacement, will not refund or exchange. Approximately 7 weeks after assistance of repair parts, the “company” is calling me on the my Saturday off and informs me that there is a hold up in parts, and just discovered the first had never been ordered. Shocker. And I require more than the initial order by the way. Once the information is determined the parts have never actually been ordered another representative calls offering 20%, not a refund, not an exchange, was plainly told no return on a non-special item. I am suppose IG that this is the company way of “building a bridge” as it was stated. This is scorched earth. I hate it the manner this company operates and which no foul on workers, but I hope this company goes out of business. BUYER BEWARE! I attempted to purchase through this company as the manufacturing plant is near me…never again. I have one star as I could not give less by the site requirement.

Over a year ago I purchased a two-seat couch from la-z-boy. I like the couch and am having no trouble with it. The trouble is with their insistence on phoning me about their promotions. After they called the first time, I called them and told them to take me off their solicitation list. A few months later, I received another solicitation call. Again I called a told them that that was the second time I was calling to be taken off their solicitation list. The other day I received a 3rd solicitation call about a promotion coming up on the weekend of July 16. I called the store, a third time this time, and told them that this was the 3rd time I was calling, but this time I would also be notifying the East Tennessee Better Business Bureau.
