If you have a business dont use them. You will not be able to operate effectively. They will constantly lock your card if you make to many transactions back to back. You can verify its not fraud and you still will not be able to make transactions. Also they charge fees for statements. No loan options for businesses either.First Horizon

ZERO stars! Horrible experience. I would not use this bank ever again. I live in ******* and was selling a home in ***** and purchasing a home in *******. My mortgage advisor informed put me into a 7 year arm and told me I could reamortize my mortgage as soon as I paid the loan principal down when I sold my home in *****, which I did a month later. I put the proceeds into my principal at First Horizon and greatly paid down the principal and asked for my reduced payment. (It took over a week for the funds to be transferred into my mortgage even though I had the proceeds in another First Horizon checking account which they made me set up.) My advisor told me after working there 7 years, he never had anyone actually do that and after speaking with the bank management, it was their policy the customer had to wait 12 months before that was possible. He was "sorry." So I am paying 3x what my mortgage should be for 12 months. I was told I could get a small percentage off to refinance with them but the rates had gone up. I will be switching banks as soon as rates go down!First Horizon

1 starHORRIBLE !!!!!!!!!DO NOT USE THIS BANK!!!!!They changed the name from First Tennessee Bank to First Horizon because theyre trying to hide ALL the HORRIFIC misdeeds that they have ******* roommate stole a cashiers check with someone elses name in the cashiers check, the cashiers check was worth thousands and thousands of dollars.The roommate was able to deposit the stolen cashiers check into his First Tennessee Bank account without ANY questions or a signature from the cashiers check owner. How was this even possible? Incompetent First Tennessee Bank employees allowed a thief to deposit a stolen cashiers check into his First Tennessee Bank account without a signature and someones name was clearly on the check without ANY questions!!!!! As soon as the owner of the stolen check realized it had been stolen, the owner called the out of ********** to report the check had been stolen. At this point the out of state bank was able to track that FIRST TENNESSEE BANK HAD AUTHORIZED THE DEPOSIT OF A STOLEN CASHIERs CHECK!!!!!!Changing the name does not hide the sins of this bank!!!!They didnt care that the money was stolen.What else are they doing in the dark behind closed doors!?!?!Review fromJillian N

I have been a customer with ********************** Bank for a little over a year now and I'm having constant problems with my debit card sometimes my debit card will work to make purchases sometimes it won't some of my bills can get paid with my debit card some won't they say the address is wrong but the address is correct because I've went to the bank and ask them I've got numerous new cards it's the same problem with every single card and they're constantly sending you fraud alerts for bills that you pay normally every month and charges that you make normally every week. I wish I would have checked into the reviews a little more before I switched from *************** that I had for 18 years to first horizon Bank so that I could have a closer Bank to where I live. Do better first horizon your customers are depending on you and trusting you with their money.First Horizon

Their computer system not user friendly. They had merged my personal, business and church accounts all together. We asked that the church accounts be removed and a new log in created. First was told that business and personal could not be co-mingled. Wrong! They put my business with the church. Now we are faced with reentering all personal payees and our payment history will remain with the church accounts. If a mistake is made entering the payees, you can not edit.The only thing editable is the payee phone number. Trying to pay more than one bill per day is all but impossible. We were told it is a "time out" problem. Guess we type too slow. We were told that our account manager xxxxxxxxx denied the request to combine our personal and business accounts. Never met xxxxxxxxx, he is not even at the branch where we bank. Tech service could not explain how two of our payments were not made, even when we gave them the confimation number. Was told a ticket was generated and we would be contacted next day. Next day never happened. The pay on line system is not user friendly.First Horizon

This financial institution does incompetent, unprofessional and illegal business . My mother ***** ******* did a power of attorney to gain access her now deceased husband accounts. Now they're refusing to allow her access since his passing to the accounts or speak with her. No type of communication what she needs to do to gain access to the accounts. He hasn't received statements in over 2 years. People don't do business with these thieves. Horrible that mother who is a senior got go through this unprofessional mess that they're rendering. I had the worst experience at the ********************* branch in ********** at 9:22 on 1/23/25. ****** refused to cash my check, and fake called the account holder to verify it. The representative smacked her lips and made rude comments before even looking at the document. I attempted to ask questions because understandably mistakes happen, and I have never had an issue cashing my payroll check. (I also had the check stub) I had to drive downtown to a different location where they had no issue. She told me that I need to stop preventing her from doing her job. She proceeded to ignore my questions, and talk over me as she took new guests in the drive through. She told me that the owner of the company had to call her to verify it, but the owner of the company I work for hires a payroll team and owns multiple businesses, I havent even met the man. Never in my life have I seen a teller act so rude, and lack of basic communication skills is a direct product of unqualified people working in a branch who could care less about customers . ********************** should hire more capable and professional people. The disrespect was equivalent to someone spitting in my coffee.First Horizon

I have been a customer since 2003 and have always been impressed by all the employees at First Horizon. The tellers are all very friendly and call me by name. ***** ******** has been the one I deal with when getting CDs and she has always been friendly and helpful. ***** goes the extra mile to make sure you are pleased with your accounts and make suggestions that could save you money or make you more money. I would suggest First Horizon to anyone wanting a friendly hometown feeling bank that can do all that the big banks do but really care about their customers. ****** SFirst Horizon

I recently over-drafted my First Horizon bank account un-knowingly. Upon looking through my transactions, I realized most of them were not even authorized by me. This was my first time getting charged overdraft fees or requesting to have them waived. I was charged two separate overdraft charges of $105 each for a total of $210 in fees alone ! I called first horizon and asked could I please have them waived, this was the first time Ive incurred charges on my account. The representative informed me she could only waive $70 of the fees but she would reach out to my local branch manager to see what they could do and they would call me back. I waited days with no phone call so I decided to reach out to customer ********************** again. The representative informed this time said she called my branch and they said the $70 is all that can be waived. This was terrible customer ********************** and I cant believe they would deny waiving fees for a first time occurrence as well as since some the transactions were not made by me ! Ive never experienced this with any other financial. I would like to have these fees waived so I can cover my account , but I can not afford an extra $210 in fees.First Horizon

There should be a way to give negative stars. I opened a savings account and ******************** illegally froze both of my accounts without valid legal reason. Then First Horizon sent an email stating the following "your funds will be returned to you via cashier's check in approximately 7-10 business days". First Horizon sent a letter stating the following "a recent review of your account activity reveals unsatisfactory banking practices" which is ridiculous. The only activity was adding funds to the account. In the same letter First Horizon wrote "any remaining funds in the account will be forwarded to you". Yeah right.After I filed a complaint with the BBB First Horizon illegally placed two false complaints on my ************ credit report in retaliation for my filing a BBB complaint. I notified BBB who contacted the bank. After repeatedly rechecking my ************ credit report First Horizon finally removed the two false statements they illegally placed on my credit report. But First Horizon did not return my funds to me. **** mishandled delivery of a letter from First Horizon which First Horizon used as a nonsense excuse to not return my funds to me.During the BBB process I furnished my savings account information to First Horizon so that they may quickly and securely ACH my funds back to me but they refused to return my funds.Did First Horizon break multiple laws when they froze my accounts without just legal cause, illegally placed two false statements on my ************ credit report in retaliation for my filing a BBB complaint against them, and never returning my funds to me essentially committing an act of theft?It is now over ten months later and First Horizon has yet to return my funds. How is a bank like this allowed to continue doing business when this is how they treat consumers? I have been banking with multiple financial institutions for over thirty years without any serious issues until encountering First Horizon. AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!First Horizon
