I am writing to express serious concern regarding the mishandling of my Short-Term Disability extension, which has led to a missed payment and financial hardship.
On June 16, 2025, my physician sent the requested documentation for my extension. I followed up with my examiner multiple times and was told it hadn’t been received. I asked my physician to resend it, and they confirmed it had already been sent with proper documentation. When I spoke to my examiner again, she admitted it had been in her mailbox the entire time.
I emphasized the urgency due to the holiday on June 19 and asked if everything was now in place. She confirmed it was and assured me I’d be paid on June 30.
However, on June 30, I was not paid. I scheduled a callback and never received it. When I called back, the supervisor, Megan Cubs, was extremely rude and told me I wouldn’t be paid until July 15. This is a full month without income due to no fault of my own.
This delay, combined with a previous underpayment, has left me with only $700 to survive the month. This situation has caused extreme emotional and financial stress, and I believe it could have been avoided with proper handling and communication.
I respectfully request an urgent review, expedited payment, and accountability for the mishandling of my case.

Very slow resolve of my claim. Submitted it March 2025. Now it's almost the end of June 2025. The claims adjuster gives very little communication. I had many items stolen from a Public Storage on Dublin Rd in Columbus Ohio. Someone cut the lock of my unit and put another lock on it. You have to have a code to get in and out of the gates. They have someone cut the locks monthly for
different reasons---non-payment mostly. That is not my case. I have rented there since September 2023. The rent has always been paid on time. I believe the person that cut the locks stole my stuff. The value of items stolen is at least $4000. I want to stop renting from Public Storage because they keep raising the rent. This tome by $32/month. I am waiting on Sedgwick to resolve my claim.

They are scam artists. They were the ones handling our total loss claim for an accident that their insured driver was at fault for. They first left us for 3 weeks without a rental car. Then once they got to appraising the car, they were less than half the actual cost to fix the vehicle. Then they only paid us out for $6,000 less than what it would cost to buy our car again in similar condition and mileage. On top of that, they took away our rental car an entire month before we got paid out for the vehicle so we were forced to tarnish our savings to buy another vehicle before we got our money from the total loss. The people we had to work with were very rude and did everything in their power to make sure that they could scam us out of as much money as possible. I highly recommended getting a lawyer **** if you ever have to deal with them. We have 2 young children in car seats and they tried to give a small rental car that couldn't fit car seats so we were forced to pay extra to get a car that was the same size as what we had. They refused to pay for the extra cost difference which I know is illegal because they are required to get you a comparable rental car. The absolute worst experience that I have ever had in my life and Sedgwick is the worst company and people that I have ever been in contact with.

Worst company ever, zero customer service, zero responsibility. In my opinion it is a scam worthy of an investigation by the Insurance Commissioner.

I have been in the *** / 911 First Responders program for close to 20 years and have been receiving medical benefits for several diagnosed illness related to the *** 911 events. After retiring in 2018, I moved to ******* and transferred over to the national program that the *** Sedgwick Company has been managing. Unfortunately *** Sedgwick has stopped paying the claims for my services and I have not had any services for the past several months. I've contacted them several times to resolve the problem but they are refusing to give me any answers or pay the services. I am seeking your assistance in resolving this matter. Thank you,**** *****

I wish I could make this 0 stars. I got hit by an ****************** disaster relief van 2 months ago and this entire process has just been horrendous. I really couldn't have picked a worse insurance company to have to deal with. I had to get my own insurance involved even though I was parked & not even in the car at the time. I'm now paying for sedgwick's utter neglect and lack of communication/customer service from multiple unanswered voicemails and emails. ***** this company at all costs!! Just **** it up, go through your own insurance and save yourself the headache. It's no surprise that *** uses the worst insurance known to man.

This is my first time filing a complaint with Sedgwick and seeing service through this department. I reached out to my case manager multiple times regarding concern of timesheets being unlocked. However, I never experience someone so rude that holds the title they do. Pay period ended this past week and my time isn't reported when I did everything on my end to get issue resolved in timely matter. Called Sedgwick multiple times and my supervisor did the same however issue still not resolved. I will be reaching out 5/19/25 to speak to a manager over the case manager. I think its unfair to employees/individuals that is seeking help/assistance but get misinformed, mistreated and this company is suppose to help. Without agents applying for **** etc there will be no Sedgwick you need people to continue an establishment. I think this company is very unprofessional and a waste of a lot of employees time. It can be helpful however if you get the wrong manager thats not helpful for your case it can cause a lot of frustration and depression. I'm very disappointed that this is the company I have to go through when it comes to a leave of absence. Locking timesheets is unacceptable and very unacceptable when an agent done their part and nothing still havent got resolved.

This company is the worst to deal with, a lot of smoking mirrors. They do not return your calls or emails, barely bother to communicate.I filed a claim due to property damage to my house costing me thousands of dollars.I provided all documents and even photos of evidence of the rotorcause and waited patiently for 4 months to have my claim denied with a 1 sentence explanation. I also suspect that they had random people do secretly do surveillance at my property (of course I cant prove it), which is just weird to do.I have nothing to hide and would have gladly schedule any type of inspection/investigation to discuss the damage. But they refuse to return any calls/emails.I dont understand how companies like this still have exist today, they seem to try to just ignore you, so it ends up being not much you can do.They provide you with the (so called) fancy web site to provide chat and account information, Smoking mirrors. I make web apps and its total BS.I am not surprised to see people opening lawsuits against this company in the news.Horrible company to deal with in my opinion.

I called Sedgwick several times to reopen a personal property damage claim against **** under NC's Statute of Limitations for property damage. I left voicemails, and I received a return phone call from the Sedgwick claims associate 3/11/25. The claim was reopened, and the claims associate emailed several times to ask for documentation. She assured, "If you need to mitigate your damages, please do so by keeping the receipt/invoice and take photos. It may be a few days before we ?nd the responsible party hired by our client."Documentation was sent back on the same day, with a description and photos of the incident/damage done by ****, and an invoice for $5,415.61 paid by me and to be reimbursed by ****. Sedgwick wrote 3/14/25 to ask for a copy of the credit card statement showing that the payment hit the account, and a copy was sent the same day. I wrote 3/24/25 to request an update on the claim, and it was 11 days later that I received a replya denial of the claim, with little relevant explanation. I replied immediately that I disagreed with the decision and sought an appeal. I received no reply, and I wrote again to follow up on my request 4/2/25, which again went unanswered. After filing complaints with the ***, NC Attorney General Consumer Protections, and NC ***** of Insurance, I contacted the **** Liability team lead at *******. The response to my request to appeal the claim denial by the team lead was very inappropriate. It was condescending, stating bully-misrepresentations with the false claim that a contract was signed to order the ************ which outlines that **** has no liability for consequential property damage during installs. I asked for, and Sedgwick cannot produce, that contract because it does not exist **** Internet installation/service does not involve a traditional contract.I am simply requesting reimbursement of repair to personal property damage done by ****, for which ******* asserts there was no liability whatsoever.
